Fireflies are mating, so this isn't uncommon in itself; in the past few days you've probably seen hundreds of fireflies. What makes these lights so unique is that they seem to change color; you might see a blue one, a green one, a red one. They flicker randomly, and something just seems off with them. If you come into contact with one, you will find yourself with a strange electric jolt. They cannot be caught, and will flicker away if you pursue too aggressively. This isn't the first time they've appeared in Destiny City, but no one's been able to tell where they came from or where they're going. No matter how quickly you chase them, they always seem to disappear before you can find any answers.
When she felt another aura…a chaotic aura, she sighed and resigned herself to not instigate any fighting, and instead just turned to look at the newcomer, taking in her outfit and giving a sigh.
“I don’t like Chaos. But your outfit is pleasing to my eyes…are you here to look at these insects too? I…don’t really believe that they are from Earth.”
And really, if anyone was going to make such a statement, her with her twitching head wings and bushy fox tail? Clearly she would know. Maybe.

Mi-Hi had always liked fireflies, something about the little glowing bugs so intrinsically linked to summer.
Well at least to her, although she knew that for her Papa it was fireworks.
Still, they both agreed that with summer came Star Fest.
Even though she no longer had to tiptoe around her parents, Mi-Hi didn't really power up so often anymore, but she had wanted to spend a bit of time watching the fireflies and had remembered finding out the hard way that the fireflies that came out around Star Fest came with a nasty little jolt.
At least as Sadalsuud she was faster than Mi-Hi and was hoping that the difference in speed would make it easier to avoid any accidental stumbles–
At least that was the hope.
And nasty little jolts aside, the fireflies truly were very pretty with the way that they flickered randomly between colours sometimes red, sometimes blue, other times green.
Sadly she had forgotten one teensy little downside of being powered - aka the risk of bumping into other powered auras, with only the voice clueing her into the fact that she was no longer alone.
She may have squeaked. Okay yes she definitely squeaked, green eyes turning wary as the Order aura finally and belatedly sunk in, narrowly missing one of said fireflies as she took a couple of steps back.
Then she paused because whilst her Order interactions were as few and far between as she could make them Sadalsuud didn't think that any of them had ever come with a fox tail–
Or with cute, fluttering head wings... And was she staring..?
Sadalsuud flushed because she was totally staring.
Oops.
"I err, yes I am here to look at the fireflies" she managed at last. "I like fireflies and these ones are really pretty."
She hesitated before adding "But these ones kind of zap if you touch them."
She hesitated some more before continuing softly "Your wings are pretty too - they're cute."

Kemi felt a little smug that the girl seemed to be appreciative of what she looked like as well. It was nice to know that some people, though tainted, still had kindness and manners “I’m going to assume that normal ones from the Earth don’t do that? It seems to further prove my theory…they are pretty though. You’re not wrong, and…thank you. I’m rather fond of them…I’ve…been told that in the past those of Kemi had large wings, and wings on the wrists and ankles, but that…was far before my time, a legend only, and I’m not completely convinced it wasn’t something that was simply fabricated…still. We have…had our head wings, and they are quite cute, thank you.”
Kemi reached out, hoping to catch one of the fireflies on her finger, but as the other girl said, they did give a bit of a jolt. “...Interesting. Also, if it’s not too much to ask…how has someone as sweet as you let herself fall prey to Chaos?”
It was worded carefully, and she hoped that it wouldn’t cause too much offense.

Although Sadalsuud had a general wariness of anyone that bore an Order aura, Sadalsuud couldn’t help the faint smile that tugged at her lips as she shook her head.
“No, their glow is usually more of a yellowish-green or yellow - and glow stays the same colour” she admitted. “These ones are the only ones that I’ve seen flicker between colours and they only seem to appear around this time of year.”
She gave a small laugh as she added “But fireflies always make me think of summer in a really, really good way.”
Sadalsuud listened in fascinated silence, green eyes wide with curiosity as the other senshi spoke of a place called “Kemi” her mouth opening to ask a question–
But the question never left her lips, the words dying at the other senshi’s mention of chaos.
Sadalsuud’s smile faded as the wariness crept back into her eyes.
“I’ve always been like this” she said quietly “Always been part of the Court.”
Had been ever since that day in 2016 when her path had crossed with Mr Rem and Miss Kitty–
And whilst Sadalsuud would be the first to admit that she wasn’t particularly good at being a senshi, Sadalsuud was loyal in her way to Mr Rem and Miss Acubens and the few others amongst the court that she knew.
She hesitated, biting her lip anxiously for a moment before a wary brittle note slipped into her voice as she asked “Is this where you attack me and call me evil?”
It wouldn’t have surprised her - because for the most part that was what she’d come to expect of those aligned with Order.

Kemi hesitated and looked at the other Senshi again, frowning and feeling…guilty all of the sudden. She wanted to reassure the girl that, no…she wasn’t going to attack and call her Evil…but.
“...I do tend to do that a lot of the time. Chaos…has badly affected me. I watched as it killed my world. Leaving only me alive, for some reason. I…hold grudges. I’ve been alive for hundreds of years, cold and alone…and it’s the fault of Chaos…but you…no. You don’t seem evil. And I’m not going to attack you…like I said…you seem very sweet…I just. Want you to know that Chaos…isn’t good…It…”
She paused and the wings on her head drooped slightly. “It corrodes and changes things past the point of recognition…and I hope that does not happen to you one day. I don’t want to ever have to fight you, and I hope that we’ll meet again. I’m not leaving but. Maybe if we meet again…the fireflies won’t be so…stingy…”

Sadalsuud's stared wide-eyed as the other senshi talked about Chaos killing her world and of being the only person left alive.
For a long moment she said nothing, as the thought of losing her parents, her friends, the stray cats and even those few senshi that kept in infrequent contact with tightened something in her chest.
"I'm sorry" she said at last, her voice almost whisper-soft against the evening, as she shivered slightly despite the summer warmth that still lingered in the air. "I'm sorry that something like that happened to you."
And she truly was, because despite her generally negative interactions with Order, Sadalsuud didn't think that was something that anyone should have to go through.
Her lips curved in a small but sad smile that didn't quite meet her eyes when the other senshi mentioned that she didn't seem evil.
"I'm not really a particularly great senshi" she admitted in a wry voice, because Sadalsuud was well aware of the fact that she wasn't exactly a shining example of senshi-dom and that there were much stronger senshi then her out there. "I'm just me and there are others out there that shine so much brighter than I ever will."
Not that Sadalsuud particularly minded being 'just her' and it wasn't something that she had ever particularly tried to hide.
"But I wouldn't wish something like that on anyone." For a moment her green eyes looked fierce as she added "Not anyone at all."
She sighed, the wry note slipping into her voice as she added "And I can't say that we'll ever meet again after this night" because she didn't really power up these days "But I really, really appreciate that you're not planning to attack me."
She half turned to go, then paused before hesitantly turning to turn back around to look at the other senshi as she added "And I just wanted to let you know that I think that you're really strong as well - because to survive something like that means that you must be strong."Orangeish Sherbert Sorry, I totally thought that I had hit post on this
