Painted Moose
The Crimson Sun.
The establishment where Kitya worked as Nagini had several levels, the building placed on top of old tunnels from an ancient Sulburi where earthlings once tried hiding from the sun far underground, but none would realize how deep the tavern went until they were actually inside. While the upper floor seemingly hosted all private affairs, the balconies there giving plenty of view into the dancers in the atrium below, the establishment’s special patrons received access to the levels that twisted beneath the stage. It was here behind the stage that Kitya had her dressing room which in fact was more like a private suite of sorts with not only her wardrobe but a room that had a sitting area. She had recently finished a performance and returned to the suite so that she could slip out of the dancer’s attire and into something more casual even though it was still highly in the Oban style with the layered silk skirts chasing behind her. But it was far more comfortable to wear these skirts than the tighter outfit she had on stage which left very little to the imagination for the guests today. Still, despite removing all the golden accessories from her hair so that it could fall down across her shoulders in waves she kept on her makeup since she didn’t feel comfortable taking it off until she knew the tavern was closed for the night and there were no wandering eyes. Even if a Yaeli still stood out in Oba it was nice to feel like she had some sort of disguise while posing as Nagini that left her more room to act as Kitya whenever she wasn’t here. Her keldari were curled up in the corner by their sunstones with their bellies full of crystals that they had been given as rewards for the performance, but unlike her sleeping familiars the Yaeli was fully awake. She had the servants bring in fresh cups of tea and a plate of fruits with bread to keep on the table in the center of the room where she currently paced. Based on the note that she had received the dancer was hoping to receive a treasured guest especially soon, much to the chagrin of some patrons who had been hoping to spend some time with her, and Kitya did not want to relax until Xenia actually arrived. Suni, an Oban girl who personally served as Kitya’s maid here, was supposed to be bringing the other Yaeli in as soon as she appeared near the stage to ask for Nagini. As for when her sister arrived? Well, Kitya would see what happened then she supposed.
