Londonite knew he was vulnerable as he walked home like this, already injured and powered up, so it wasn’t any surprise when he pulled out his tablet and placed a call to Chalcanthite. He couldn’t just call someone else, he wasn’t going to wake his spouse, so he called his general knowing the other would help him get home tonight. He needed to tell him about this knight anyway, so he might as well do it now, once he’d called for the general he put his tablet away and stood waiting, leaning against a street lamp so he could see anything which might come his way.
He was nowhere near close to home, considering how far out the lake was, and the walk wouldn’t have been so bad if not for his aching ribs and midsection.

With his vision back to the usual level of not great, Chalcanthite went back out on his patrols as normal, alongside the usual check-in he did on the music venue he was partially in charge of. Things seemed calmer in a way, but when he would look up at the sky on clear nights, he felt the tension eek into his posture. Contained, not dead. That was the status of the Calamitous Hollow, and it didn’t sit well with him. There were too many variables, not enough certainty in things for him to be completely comfortable with how it had shaken out.
Hearing his tablet ping from a team notification, he saw that Londonite had been injured and needed assistance. It was frustrating that the two remaining lieutenants of his team had both gotten injured so close together in time. But he knew that the two who hadn’t earned their promotions to captain had other things that were a priority.
Teleporting to the coordinates they’d supplied alongside a photo sent through the tablet, he dusted himself off before turning to the man. “Are you alright?†Looking them over, he could see they weren’t doing well. Their uniform had tears, and he could tell they’d gotten beaten up a bit, but other than that, they were standing at least.
Luckily, there was no one around, not that he could feel anything other than Londonite. Caution was always his priority, so he had his medallion helping to smother his own signature down.

“I’ve been better, the knight was more interested in a good fight than anything else. They laid off, and left, when I didn’t offer that.†It meant he got off light, which he figured was a good thing. “He knew how to fight also.†Considering the hits he’d taken, and would very much like to avoid in the future.
“They aren’t going to come for me, I was at the lake - lots of people partying.†It made for somewhat easy pickings, till the knight had shown up. “I thought to let you know, and get home.†With some help, of course, because he needed the help right now. His mid section hurt and his nose was bleeding at this point ,thanks to a sniffle and a little sneeze. He’d been tilting his head back and sniffling it back down though, it seemed the best option to deal with the problem.

Pulling out a small first aid kit from his subspace, he offered a small gauze pad to twist and help stop their nose from bleeding. While he didn’t particularly enjoy hearing about fights breaking out, he was relieved that this knight at least was easily put off of the chase. Some would no doubt continue on until an agent or corrupt senshi fell unconcious or worse.
“Let me know what you can about them, so we can add them to the database.†Seeing how they were babying their midsection as well, he shook his head slightly. “And you should get checked by our doctors. While most of the knights and senshi have been upholding a slight truce after recent events, I would hazard a guess some never got the memo…â€
Moving closer, he offered his hand to help to teleport them at least out of this area for a debriefing. “It may be better for you to drain through my pet project to avoid any additional injuries for the moment. We cannot have you caught out while injured and unable to get back to Tokyoite.†Weighing their partner’s importance to get them to listen more, knowing Londonite was the risk taker and partier of the pair, he knew there was a strong enough connection to have them listen closely to his advice.

“Half dressed, or less, a toga of some sort and red hair. They were older, so they used it as a reason to call me a kid.†Thinking of what he could remember, while pinching his nose with the offered gauze. “A sleeve - a tattoo sleeve. I remember that also.†Thinking more, as he let the other take on his weight and teleport them to a safer place.
“Yeah, I think I’ll do that. I can't leave him as a widower.†That wouldn’t do, he cared far too much for his other half. “I’ll put in some time at your club.†It wasn’t the other club, the louder one, but it also would be easier on his recovering body so it would be best. He might even be able to get his spouse to join him in gathering energy at the lounge.
“The clothing…a gladiator…maybe? I didn’t see any item though.†It went hand in hand, he figured, with how this knight had wanted a fight. They weren’t going to use a weapon, or item, or even magic. They wanted to go at it with their fists and feet. “Same rank as me also…just hit a whole lot harder.†Which is also how he figured they had training and fought for a hobby, at least.

Listening to the description and committing it to memory as he went over the details to match it to the database information he had on the types of knights that were listed, he had a few ideas on their classification but without seeing them himself it would be hard to have a completely accurate report.
With a nod, he teleported them both closer to the other’s apartment building but not close enough to cause a connection to be tied to them. Stepping into the alley for a moment, he powered down and adjusted his scarf slightly against the chill of wind that blew down the narrow alleyway.
“Good, it will be better that way, for your health and safety of course.†And for the longevity of those on his team. It wouldn’t do to have them dropping off like flies if he wanted to work towards some of his goals.
“Perhaps they box or something along those lines? It is far from an uncommon hobby in this city so it may have led to that advantage they had even if they were similarly matched otherwise.†Keeping things vaguer while he was powered down, he motioned for the other to lead as he idly pulled his phone out to let Liam know he would be delayed in his return home but that it was related to someone on his team and not a personal injury or trouble.
It wouldn’t take much time for him to get things sorted for the other to be seen and scheduled for some shifts at the venue but he didn’t want to have his partner worry with the wedding coming up in a few days. While there was so much to do, he had to balance everything equally which came easier with the university out for the summer.

Stepping into the alleyway with the other, and powering down, Londonite stepped back out onto the sidewalk slowly. He kept his pace slow, measured, he was sore and hurting and didn’t want to push himself or attract attention. “That or something similar, but yeah. I’m thinking that as well.†He wasn’t familiar with various styles of fighting so couldn’t tell what the knight knew…but he knew something for certain.
“Mind walking me up?†He questioned, nodding his head to the building where he and his spouse lived. It was a cheap, very tiny place, so it was a walk up and right now the idea did not appeal to him in the slightest bit. “And you can text me tomorrow about shifts at your place. You already know my schedule.†That was something he’d given the other some time ago, so he knew when he and his partner were around for things.

Keeping in step with them, he nodded and already looked over things to start planning a few shifts for them. It wouldn’t be hard, considering the upcoming events for summer, now that the university was out and open mic night would be happening again. It would mean more hands on deck and a lot more people coming in to enjoy the break. While profits weren’t his main goal, he knew Melody was already brimming with excitement over the potential profits.
“It might be good to look into it if you are interested in that. It would be good for any close-range problems. Self-defense is important after all in this city, you never know who might bother you while walking home.†Looking up at the building, he didn’t let the small curl of disgust at the place show on his face. Even when he’d been on his own using his finances from being a TA or a professor, he hadn’t been in such a small and uninspired place.
Keeping close, he offered help to the other as needed, noticing that the motions of going upstairs were causing trouble for their injury. By the time they made it up, he couldn’t exactly hide the soft wheeze that came between breaths; such an exercise wasn’t something he preferred to do with his lungs. In the past, he probably wouldn’t have made it up all the stairs, though, so it was a small victory, even if he wouldn’t admit that Liam was right about how the smoking had been killing him.
Fixing himself and discreetly hitting his inhaler while the other fiddled with keys and opening the door, he looked over the plain halls and couldn’t shake off how it reminded him in a way of mirrorspace. “Quaint…†It came out inadvertently, but he did bite back his tone to not seem as harsh. The negaverse, as well as his offered job shifts, would help the pair move to a much more preferable place in time.
“Of course, there are a lot of open shifts that will work with your availability, especially with the new summer events coming up at the Encore.â€

It had been a sudden more for the two of them, leaving their home country to come here, and they’d been low on money so this had been what they could get on the spot. It had worked, even if it left little room for them to move about in, but it was home and they were working and saving slowly. The place was cheap, it meant they could save more, but it was cramped…had been getting there for a while now.
As he stepped inside he turned to look over the taller male and smiled. “Thank you for the help back. I’ll see what shifts you have open and I’ll grab what I can.†Meaning he’d likely grab most, if not all, of the open shifts. He’d talk to his spouse in the morning and see if they didn’t want to grab some shifts as well. The money, and energy, collected would help them both in so many ways. They would work their way out of here and into something nicer, he knew they would.
“If you want….I’m sure you could power up and teleport out fast…†He whispered, keeping his voice low. The other didn’t seem to have handled the stairs so well….

Looking inside the small place, he couldn’t even fathom how two people could be comfortable in a small space. It was one thing that he preferred, that smaller room within his own house, but he didn’t have everything he owned in the small space, unlike the two others had.
Nodding slightly as he looked back at the other, he tucked his phone away for now. “No trouble at all, I would rather be reached out to so I can support my team than leave them to fend for themselves. Do see one of our doctors soon, just in case, though.†Waving his hand slightly at the mention of teleporting, he knew he’d be fine walking down the stairs without having to aid someone. Probably.
“Do remember to get a report ready, and I will keep an eye out for them in the future. It would be good to get whatever information we can out of them.†Nodding slightly as he leaned against the doorway, he didn’t want to come in further, given the lack of space.

“I’ll go tomorrow to see a doctor. I’ll let you know how that goes.†As he was certain the other would ask anyway, they actually cared and worried. He’d talk to his partner in the morning and let them know he’d be calling out of work so he could drop by the negaverse run hospital, make sure he didn’t break anything. A report would be written up, as the other asked, once he was home from the hospital. He’d work on that while going over the work hours he could pick up at the lounge, because he was certain his spouse would prefer the lounge over the club.
“Thank you for the help and have a good night, get home safely.†Nodding his head he smiled. It wasn’t until the other had left that he closed and locked the door…and made his way slowly to the bed up a small set of steep steps. The bed was nice, large enough for two, and while he undressed gingerly, slowly, he hoped not to rouse his partner. Once he was stripped down Akito went to curl up under the blankets and sleep.

Once they confirmed things, he nodded and waved goodbye before stepping out of the doorway and beginning the slow walk down all the stairs. While it was very tempting to teleport, with how drained the aid he’d offered made him wouldn’t make it easier to teleport home.
Sighing as he went, he’d make sure to check in soon and to make sure the report was up to his standards. Sometimes they were subpar but not everyone was as prepared to gather every scrap of information they could much as he did. It just meant he would have to follow up on leads occasionally to confirm things and then file addendums. Not that he minded because he would prefer a full picture so that everyone could be prepared if the threat crossed their path.
