Physical description: Sam is very tall with long limbs he has yet to grow into. A bit of a late bloomer, his broad frame and tall posture does more to lower his self-esteem than raise it, and, along with years of bullying, causes him to slouch and stumble often. Sam's body build, tall and broad shouldered. If he didn't slouch so much and carried himself with more confidence, it might be noticed he has quite a nice frame.. He has wine colored eyes. He has pale skin. Moving down from his face, he looks rather gangly, though if he were to carry himself with some pride, you might notice he has a nice body. He has what people call 'pianist hands' long and slender, and as is customary of tall people, long legs he'll often trip over.
☼Slight and small, Mia is truly tiny, barely making the height and weight requirement for her age. She takes after her European ancestry from her skin tone to her hair to the violet eyes she inherited from her mother. She has certain Asiatic features that usually go unnoticed. She has her dad's nose.☼
The bigger of the twins, Leo might not grow to be tall but is definitely not tiny like his twin with the build expected from a boy his age he has his mother's coloring but takes after his father's stature. His skin is a blend of both his parent's tones and like Mia a has a natural tan to it. His facial structure is more like his father's than Sam's and his eyes are purple and only a shade or two darker than Mia's. His hair is brown not as thin as Mia's but not as thick as Sam's. It is soft and falls straight down. ☼

Personality:
Sam:
Honest} Sam seldom lies. He hates lies, and so it never occurs to him to deceive someone else. The only time he might lie is when he wants to keep something hidden out of loyalty, or to keep someone safe. Even on those rare occasions, it will be more omission than actually lying.
Noble} Perhaps to a fault. Sam was raised with fairly traditional values, although it might be something that is innate to him. Whatever the reason, you can bet he will always try to do the fair and right thing. He is known for sacrificing his own commodity before anyone else's and thinks of others before himself. It can work against him as people are known for taking advantage of this, and it can get him into trouble.
Socially Oblivious} Awkward and a bit on the socially inept side, Sam is often clueless about people's intentions. Particularly girls. People with ill intent also target him for this. He doesn't always catch on when someone tries to use him. That being said, once he catches on (and he's quick to catch on), he'll keep his distance from said people.
Temperamental} Despite what outward appearances might tell you, Sam has quite a temper beneath his timid exterior. Growing up as a someone bullied and often outnumbered he learned to keep his anger suppressed.
Pushover} Despite his—hidden—temper, or rather because of it, Sam is generally a go-along kind of guy. He dislikes confrontations and is more likely to adjust himself to what others say rather than cause trouble. Again, it's a double edge sword. People might use this against him
Reliable} Sam's siblings and those that knew him in Lavender will vouch for this. Come what may, his friends and family can count on him. Whether to have a place to crash, a ride to work, or simply a buck for lunch.
Determined} When the right circumstances arise, or someone's well being is at stake, Sam can be incredibly adamant despite his insecurities. As said before, he believes in standing for his values and will not yield if he feels he is doing the right thing.
Smart} Sam is very smart. Taking AP classes and bound to graduate early and head to a college of his choice. His reasoning skills are also up to par.
Shy} Never very confident or assertive, Sam is very shy around kids his own age and often silent. Which only makes him more of a target. He mumbles when he speaks, trips often, and usually just tries to stay below the radar. If only his hair and height made it easier on him.
Intuitive} For all of his obliviousness in some things, Sam is fairly perceptive. It shows the most with his friends and family as he is able to pick up on what they feel and think and may be going through without them saying much.
Family Oriented} Sam has always been a family first kind of person. He got along well with his parents and would do anything for his baby siblings. Never popular he would spend time cooking with his mother or tossing a baseball with his dad and loved having family night and would try his best to help his parents when needed. Now that he's gotten custody of the twins and is their only adult he is even more so. He does everything with them in mind and is very focused on them
Responsible} Another reason kids his age don't like him. Sam is always the one to say when something is a bad/stupid idea, confiscate car keys from kids at a keg party, or even call the cops at said keg party. He is always thinking of the consequences of his actions. Not just for him, but for everyone else. This has only gotten worse since he took charge of the twins. It's all done with good intentions.

Thoughtful} Leo is fairly cautious of both his actions and words. He is the sensible twin and is also thoughtful in that he takes the time to remember and consider things about the people he knows.
Studious} Like his brother Leo is smart and a quick study.
Observant} Perhaps because he isn't always seen Leo is very observant.
Quiet} Leo doesn't really talk a lot which children sometimes find annoying or offensive. He doesn't do it with that intention however, he's thoughtful for his age and more of a listener, rather than crown time with endless talk he would rather simply sit and spend company time in silence.
Respectful} Like all the Takahashi siblings Leo was taught respect, much more tactful than his twin he is always trying to be on his very best behavior. Like his brother it endears him to his elders..☼

Biography: Sam was born to a Japanese father, Touya Takahashi and an Italian mother, Sofia Takahashi ( nee Weald) his birth brought a lot of controversy due to his grandparents having planned for his father to marry a Japanese woman. Never once did they visit their grandson, never once did they call; all they did was look at him with disdain.
His mother's family was in charge of taking care of the pokemon tower and Sam often helped. Because of this kids in town often teased him that they were creepy or even that his mother was a witch. Quiet and withdrawn Sam seemed to attract teasing and never did make too many friends in school.
He never really had fancies of being a trainer, the ghost pokemon that kept his mother company and his fathers Chamsey were enough.
When he was ten his younger twin siblings were born, Sam for his part was happy and became rather close to them, and spent even more time at home.
Other than that and some of the hitchups stated above, he had a pretty good life.
Due to his fathers job as a doctor Sam decided to pursue medicine as a career. An honor roll student he applied to and was accepted to a university in Unova going in a partial scholarship. However before his move in date his parents who had gone to an SS Anne cruise with his fathers boss were lost at sea.
Sam was called months later and told the bodies were found. Newly orphaned and with orphaned baby siblings Sam didn't think twice before taking charge. Due to his grandparents not approving of their marriage he was in charge of the funeral arrangements. No one would take him and the twins and he almost ended up in foster care and having to leave the house. College now the last thing on his mind, Sam fought for custody of his siblings. He knows however that he needs to find them stable housing and with his parents death being so sudden the money they would have left them is tied up in lawyers figuring out the wills. To that end and wanting to give the twins a change of scenery he booked a trip to the Kimchi region and started on their new journey.
Note: Sam is the main character and the twins will not own or battle with their own pokemon. The Takahashi siblings will never be posted separately and will function as one character.
