Harvey Benett: XMarcus older (31) brother and the only person who supports his search for Ray in the family. He works as a researcher in Sinnoh and sometimes Galar ( travels for work) and sometimes sends Marcus pokemon. Has a doctorate and used to teach in Marcus academy. In the past Harvey wasnt always the best brother due to Marcus mom sending him to live in Canaleove after getting pregnant with Marcus which resulted in a lot of abuse for Harvey. Hoewever as of right now and speciallly because he also knew Ray he is one of Marcus main supporter. The two lived together after Marcus father passed away and his mom and little sibling moved back to Pewter with his maternal parents. Ray Myers:X Marcus best friend in the academy he atended. The two met when they were ten and became incredibly close. Marcus found out Rays sister had died in an accident the year before meeting him and did his best to support him, eventually getting both of them into therapy. Ray is the only one thats ever seen him cry and was there for him when his father died when they were fifteen. The two were never seen without the other and often spent as much time in each others dorm room as they did in their own. Marcus is highly attuned to Rays moods and feelings throughout their school years and after. Because of this,after Ray dropped off the phase the earth after graduation Marcus trusted his feeling that something wasnt right despite Ray having left him a message before leaving him. Elaine Myers: X Rays aunt and Harveys best friend it was really the two of them who helped out Marcus and Ray. Elaine knew Harvey before Ray met Marcus as the two had been best friends for years by the time Marcus sought his older half brother out. Still as Marcus spend years at the academy and eventually moved in with his brother he became close to Elaine too. This was copounded by his closeness with Ray and over the years hes come to see her as an aunt.

Shes at an age when she still loves playing games and is wont to tackle and roughhouse with Marcus. Very fond of him and looks to him for guidance.

She is a bit more serious than the other members of the party due to being older than the other pokemon ( sans Reina with whom she shares a friendship born of that) She respects Marcus as a trainer. Shes an adept battler but would rather sunbathe and when not battling is very reserved and calm. Name is Lace but goes by Lace or Lacey since Marcus calls her that sometimes and the team has picked it up

Bio: Caught by Marcus back in the academy in his fourth year to be precise. She was a part of his original team as well as team rain dance, Marcus mono water team with which he battled during his teen years. She misses the rest of her team but also knew Ray and would do anything for Marcus so shes all too willing to help this group of younger pokemon rise to the ocassion and help Marcus get his friend back.
She was and still is a bit of brat and has less patience than some for the younger pokemon but she has their back. Hates being dry so Marcus usually only lets her out when she can swim, something theyve done since she was a Horsea.

Bio: Toothless doesnt remember much for how he found himself in Jotho. He knows that he had a family He remembers living among heavy forestry but it feels like a lifetime away. He does remember the first time he saw Marcus. He sensed something within the boy and instantly bonded to him. He ihates that he cant last as long as the others in a battle and is determined to prove itself to him. Very attached to Marcus and often refuses to leave his perch on his arm or shoulder.
He is named after the fact that he has retractable fangs/teeth.

Bio: Plato was one of the last caught in New Bark. Inquisitive and intellegent they tend to hang back and observe before jumping in. They know Marcus is going to either release them or send them somewhere when they evolve and is rather at peace with that. They understand the reason behind it. Their life was pretty standard before they were caught having shortly left their parents and nest mates before Marcus found them. They are pretty happy to be on this journey and dont stress most things. They are decent at battling since they had been on his own for a bit before joining the team.

Like Ziva he looks to Marcus for guidance ( as well as Reina) Hes calm and naive and tends to hang back unless hes given an order to battle. Likes going jogging with Marcus in the mornings.

Marcus is inquisitive by nature and with his love for pokefauna he has a varied ammount of pokemon he wants to train. He does however tend to veer to water types and may speciliaze in that once he's a Ranger proper. He also tends to want to train pokemon people consider "Dangerous" and that are predators.
