The night was clear and calm, and altogether quiet from what the landslide senshi could tell. She had been surprised when she received the message from Aberdonia, asking to join her on patrols tonight, but was happy for the company. It would mean less time alone with her thoughts, after all.
Gazing up at the stars, Aruna leaned against a light pole as she waited. Everything had felt so overwhelming late, like every little sound or touch was scraping against her skin that was somehow raw despite being perfectly fine. Overstimulated was understating the experience. But even so, she wanted to do her best. Wanted to show the younger senshi she was reliable. So when he came into view, she directed a warm smile to him and lifted her hand in a wave. "Good to see you."

As busy as things had been for the past few months, at least for him, Aberdonia was glad that things were slowing down a little bit. On the senshi side of his life, if nothing else. It was nice to be able to catch his breath a little, relax, and enjoy life. Not that patrol wasn't necessary, it just didn't feel as urgently "life-or-death" as it had until now.
Since he wanted a chance to catch up, and wanted to get into the habit of using the app on his senshi phone, he'd reached out to Aruna to ask about joining her on patrol tonight. He'd also wanted a chance to check in on her after the Calamitous Hollow's recapture, since he hadn't had a chance to talk to her during or at the beginning of the big battle.
Making his way through the relatively quiet city and enjoying the starlight, the Senshi of Papyrus kept an eye out for the more experienced senshi, finally spotting her under a light pole, leaning against it as she waited. He waved back at her, smiling. "Good to see you, too! Shall we get started?"

Aruna smiled, warm but tired, and nodded at the younger senshi. "Let's. It seems quiet so far tonight, so perhaps it will remain uneventful." Falling into step easily beside the young man, she let herself look skyward as they walked. It felt so surreal to Aruna, that not long ago they had been up there, fighting against the end of the world. "I'm glad you made it through alright. With the Calamitous Hollow, I mean. I'm glad that everyone did..." It had weighed far too heavily on her mind since her feet returned to earth, just how very finally fatal that battle could have been for so many people. There were so many people there that she cared deeply about, and it only served to strengthen her resolve to get stronger.

"The night staying uneventful would be really nice, especially given how hectic it was with the Calamitous Hollow," he agreed, casting his own gaze upward toward the skies, which contained the new prison for the Hollow. He couldn't pick it out with the naked eye, but it was enough, on some emotional level, to know that it was there, and that it was reasonably escape-proof. At least for now. Hopefully long enough for more people to power up high enough to present a barrier, maybe rebuild a little. Peace felt more than a little earned after that terror.
"I'm glad you made it through all right, too, and that nobody got seriously hurt. I honestly hope we don't have to deal with something that big and existential again for, like, a year and a half," he joked. He had no idea where he'd be at that point. Maybe a higher level senshi? Staring college in the face? Making the final decision about how public he wanted to go with his dreams of running a cosmetics company? He'd almost rather face the Hollow again.
Coughing awkwardly. "That said, how have you been with life, the universe, and everything since the big battle?"
