Drako is shown entering the backstage area, shades over his eyes and his hair tied back with a bag over his shoulder with his gear. As he makes his way backstage, he's intercepted by Michael Cole for an interview.
"Drako, just wondering if you have a moment to reflect on WrestleMania and your plans moving forward."
The Soaring Dragon stops to remove the shades, letting them rest on top of his head. "I knew I was going to have to address it at some point. So let's talk about it and get the dark stuff out of the way. The fact of the matter is, WrestleMania was going to be a rough night, a bittersweet night for fans. But from the moment the challenge was laid down, I made it clear that I was going to do whatever it took to come out on top. When we made it past the second match tied, the stakes had to go higher. There was no other way to settle it than to walk into hell. I knew what I was in for in that match. I knew I was in for a long night, but I warned the entire roster that at WrestleMania, Drako vs Nuke was going to be the real main event. This was where the story had to end. At the end of the night, I did what I set out to do. I saved my career and in the process, ended Nuke Fusion's. Now, I can't say that will end the Damone vs Fusion family feud. Avari Fusion is the reigning world heavyweight champion."
Cole: "Speaking of which, tonight begins the King of the Canvas tournament and I understand that you're entering. Are you sure that's wise given that you just went through hell in a cell?"
Drako cocks his head to the side. "Cole, I've been at this for over a decade and a half. I've been in that ring beaten and battered, injured with broken ribs and still gave you a show. Tonight, I'm going to fight through the pain because I'm still here and I have something to prove. I've never won King of the Canvas. The last several I was either champion or out injured for. Now I have the chance to add to my already impressive resume and use it to get back to where I should be. By the end of 2025, I will be a three time WWFG World Heavyweight champion. This is my path to get there. Tonight we start to answer a question. Can a Dragon become a King? Spoiler alert, the answer is yes."
