Keahi had just gotten back from a visit to Hawaii taking care of his mother the meal that Remaque had provided was a welcomed distraction and a yummy treat so he didn’t have to worry about cooking. The timing had been impeccable and getting to hang with some of the other DMC was a welcomed distraction as well.

He went about unpacking his things so he could wash his laundry and get ready to go back to the weather station. He was sad he missed all the events of the Harold that threatened earth. The data he could’ve gotten from the weather station would’ve probably been interesting and informative.

Alas, he had other responsibilities. He rubbed the back of his head thinking, “If it would be lucrative, I’d chase storms.” He said thinking about tornado chasing and sighed. He’d been watching videos since he was stuck on Hawaii and couldn’t do a lot more. He was standing there thinking as he looked around the room.

“I need a better set up. Maybe I can chase on off days.” There was a chuckle when he said that. Maybe he’d hit up Remaque and see what options the dark mirror had for him and his ideas. After all, watching the Storm chasers on youtube really got him thinking not to mention what he’d heard happened with the Harold. If he got where could get into the thick of things and study the weather patterns if the next Harold messed with the weather maybe he could help pin point it faster.

Though those were big dreams and he knew it but between his love for weather and his fire dancing he felt like he might could actually make a go of something. He finished tossing the load of laundry into the wash and sat down at his desk with his laptop. He started typing out a plan and proposal. “What’s the worst that could happen?”

He paused, the apartment was rather quite and he sighed as he looked around. Maybe he should get a pet? He paused pulling a pen out of the cup holder on his desk twirling it through his fingers as he thought and looked at his draft. He wasn’t sure if the mirror realm could benefit from any sort of real-world research. Maybe he could try to replicate the weather patterns in mirror space if he could get a control bubble so it wouldn’t reach outside of that area into other areas and mess up anything important.
He chuckled, “I doubt this’ll fly.” He said softly as he looked at the proposal and frowned. Getting up, “I’ll still run it by him but I doubt it’ll be any good.”

He stretched a bit before looking at the time and going to his couch to turn on a movie. Flipping through the catalog looking at the list of movies and settling flicking through disaster movies until he decided on just watching Twister again. “I really need to branch out on my movie choices.” He said with a laugh as he settled in for the night.
