Barihn was.....wandering. Again. It wasn't so much that he was lost, well not really. He was good at eveeeeentually ending up where he needed to go. It was simply the in between that was more unclear. There weren't trees nearby, well, not entirely true. There weren't trees nearby that he had access to. One of the trees of the aishans was nearby, maybe, it was really big and really secluded and when he had wandered in close he'd been run off. He didn't know which one though. He'd never met one of the taller women up close so he couldn't say he knew. So now he was just sort of exploring? Moving about? Trying to avoid traps really. He had a bad habit of getting caught in those.

"Tiiiiiiiiiiired," he whined, looking at a particularly comforting portion of grass on the side of the road. Maybe he could even rest on the side. His bow stayed strapped to his back as he flopped back, sleepily staring up at the clouds moving on by. "Maaaaaaaybe a little break," he continued to drawl out, stretching his arms up high above him before letting them drop too.

Ok see so... here's the thing. Hesperia had spent a majority of her trip with her sister, which was lovely! But it meant that the more ah... earthling pursuits had passed her by a good bit. N-not that she was particularly interested in that sort of thing! She just - was curious! That was all! So when there was a fuss at the edge of the village, she crept to the sisters who were standing guard and carefully asked what had happened. A stranger! "Should we be worried?" She asked, alarmed. The sister laughed and shook her head. "Just a fool, wondering too close. Scared the thing off, I'd wager!"

Oh ...! An earthling? Hesperia hoped they weren't too scared. She'd met some earthlings in their travels, but many of them seemed used to her kind by now. Would they still feel calm having stumbled upon their tree? Curiosity finally won out and, eventually, she smuggled herself out of the village, padding along the well-worn roadway. She'd wondered for a good bit, and had begun to think she'd missed the interloper completely when--

In the distance, someone called out, voice drawn out. Was it a call for help? Singing? She sped up, worried - only to pause when she rounded the treeline and saw an earthling male, flopped along the side of the road. ... Was he alright? "Excuse me, I - I'm pretty sure the town isn't much farther. If you are tired?" She pointed out, squinting at him as she padded closer.

Barihn heard the voice and smiled, lifting his arm up in a wave to beckon the stranger over. The side of the road was comfortable, nice lush grass and relatively decent shade. He was surprised more people didn't want to come out and laze around in the area. If he wasn't so very lost he would have marked it on his map so he could come back for later. "Come join meeeeee. It's soooooo comfortable," he explained to the newcomer, whistling a little as he finished his words.

He was used to people finding him strange. He knew he was, but he also was aware that he wouldn't want to change his sluggish personality either. He was comfortable in his skin, happier than he was when he was trying to be someone he didn't like. If that made him a touch odd well it didn't matter.

"If you're worried about me causing an issue don't beeeeeeee. Nothing wrong heeeere," he drawled out, ensuring his bow was tucked in such a way it didn't look aggressive.

Join him? Hesperia's cheeks tinged a bit and she turned to take a surreptitious look around, in case another Sister would see her considering it. Her eyebrows shot up though when he continued, and she took the chance to come closer, waving her hands a bit dismissively. "Oh! No, I'm not worried about - I trust you!"

Well - he seemed harmless anyway. She hesitated, then tentatively lowered herself to sit, tucking the flowing skirt around her knees. The grass was cool even through her dress, and the shade felt comfortable, just as he'd suggested. "You ah... are talking in a way I haven't heard before. Is that a local accent?" He kept elongating his words in a way that made her want to giggle, but she didn't want to hurt his feelings.

Barihn rolled in his spot to look at the pretty girl, nodding in approval at her willingness to join him so easily. "Mmmmmm naaaah. Just relaxed," he yawned as if to prove his point, languidly stretching out more.

He reached behind him to grab his bow and shift it out of the way more, not wanting the Aishan to hurt herself if she wasn't paying too much attention. Really he had only seen one of her kind from afar, and only back in his own homeland. Being out here and seeing this girl was far different. "You don't just take your tiiiime speaking? Rushing is really too much. I'm Barihn, by the way."

He knew most considered him strange. He was in people's space too much, always too close, speaking too slow. It was a habit he'd picked up when he was still causing problems in his village, and since he'd been booted out it just stuck with him. Focusing on something really just took way to much energy and he would rather take it slow and casual.

Oh. Hesperia felt a little embarrassed, but nodded along as if he'd imparted some great wisdom to her. "Hello Barihn. I'm Hesperia." She thought to reach out to clasp his arm, in greeting, but instead reached to pluck a small flower from the grass, fingers idly fiddling with it in her lap. She felt nervous, but also tentatively excited. She was talking with an earthling! Like it was nothing strange at all!

"I'm sorry if the Sisters were aggressive with you. We are supposed to be allies now, but we still get worried when strangers come too close."

Barihn gave Hesperia a lazy shrug, ultimately not concerned over someone being aggressive with him or not. So long as he didn't end up dead he didn't quite care how he was treated. Getting upset over something like that didn't help anyone out. "It's fiiiiine. No harm. I just sort of end up in places I shouldn't be anyway so I understand them being nervous." He laughed a little more at the thought of being bullied by giant women, rolling over more to watch Hesperia.

"But what about you? You came over here to see me. Are you not scaaared, Miss Hesperia?" Barihn teased a little, watching her messing with the flower. "I promise I only bite if asked."

"M-me?" Hesperia blinked up at him, biting her lip to suppress a scandalized giggle. She might not have much experience herself, especially with Earthlings, but that didn't mean she had never heard flirting before! "That's our first rule, Mr. Barihn! An Aishan does not fear an Earthling." She smiled delightedly and lifted her chin at him and leaned back against her hands.

"I'm curious! What sort of places do you find yourself in, that are as dangerous as an Aishan village?"

"Mister?" Barihn laughed more, running his thumb against his jaw. It was odd to be referred to in such a way. No one really respected him enough to call him mister or anything else. It surprised him more than he thought it would. "Juuuuust Barihn is fine, y'know. Don't have to call me mister."

Barihn hummed a little as he thought over the dangers he'd gotten into. There had been the getting snagged in traps, he'd been chased by angry beasts, shot at by poachers, now wandering close to the Aishan village. "Mmmmmm. Many things. Being shot at, big beasties, take your pick."

"Hmm." Hesperia narrowed her eyes at him, still playful even as she assessed him. "I think I know this earthling punchline. I am supposed to say 'Then you must call me Hesperia!'." She chuckled, then grew quiet as he recounted his experiences, her expression sobering. By the end, she was looking at him with hurt, heart bleeding for the poor man. "Oh! You shouldn't travel alone just for that reason, Barihn!" Notably, she had taken his suggestion to heart and ditched the honorific.

She reached out and pat his hand, sympathetic. "What if you got hurt? Why, no one would be there to take you to a healer, or patch up your wounds!"

"Mmmm. Probably right, Hesperia," Barihn nodded in agreement, also dropping the honorific since she did not seem to mind so much. He'd been hurt plenty of times, but usually found a way to drag himself over to the nearest healer he could find or settlement. Sometimes he'd manage them himself if he could.

"Though I have no one to travel wiiiiith," he whined, flipping his hand up to squeeze hers a moment in what he hoped was a reassuring gesture. "You don't have to worry though. I'm pretty sturdy." His free hand tapped the side of his head to show how sturdy he was in fact.

Hesperia glowered at him, unimpressed with his display of 'sturdiness'. She wanted to jump in and say she'd keep him safe, but considering she'd just come home... no, she couldn't leave so soon. Even if she did, she barely knew this young man. "That sounds lonely. Do you - mm. Do you need me to help you get back to the nearest earthling village?" He was so lackadaisical she assumed he'd say no, but she couldn't help but feel worried about him being out here. Yes, he'd made it clear he could handle himself, and the bow by his arm showed he was armed, but she still found him a gentle sort.

He deserved companionship, and her heart ached for the lonely figure he cut, friendly and sweet but out on his own in the middle of nowhere.

Barihn flopped a dismissive hand towards the Aishan, not so worried about his own skin as she seemed to be. He'd been wandering around enough that he knew by now how to survive certain situations. Plus he was good with a bow, he liked to think better than a lot. Maybe he wasn't as sturdy at the woman in front of him but he could handle his own. "You're sweeeeet. I won't complain if you escort me back."

The leaf winked at her, a bit of a teasing smile spreading as he looked her over. "I can take care of myself you knoooow. Don't look so worriiiiied."
