(Backdated to the evening of May 2nd, 2025) On a whim, Khazran had taken a look at the app on his senshi phone for interaction with other people. It looked like other people could post, and so he had laboriously typed it out, leaving some nebulous offers of assistance open, while leaving rather more specific requests for himself. Namely, the need for anyone who could help him figure out Aberdonia's technology sooner than next school year. Sure, he'd still committed to those classes for next school year, but that could also go toward maintaining his asteroid, once he understood it.
Against his anxieties that no one would respond, he'd gotten an offer of assistance, from someone named Ekstrom of Mercury. Best guess was that they were a knight of Mercury. He didn't really know much of anything about the knights, but he'd be happy to find out more.
After a bit of back and forth, they'd agreed to make some time on the evening of May 2nd. He'd also let his cousin and younger sister know that he was doing completely non-dangerous senshi stuff off-world, so Keesh had agreed to come watch Yasmeen while his mother was busy, for which he was eternally grateful. That said, she'd also said she wanted to see his homeworld at some point in time, and seemed particularly curious about the mosaics he'd seen.
Which would have to wait for another trip.
Speaking of which...
He had packed some extra supplies he could think of for exploration, mostly in the sense of food, water, chargers, notebooks, and writing utensils.
And now, he was at the meeting point in a local park, Powered up and ready to go. As soon as his travel companions arrived.

It wasn't often that she spent any time on the Connections app, but since the most recent life-threatening situation Ekstrom had taken to what resources were available to try and be more intentional with the connections she did make. Rather than just run into someone in the middle of a patrol or a battle, which was how she did things up until that point. She was sure she wasn't alone in that, which…made her feel a little less bad about it.
Better late than never, though! So she was browsing the app when she saw Sailor Aberdonia's post. She was confident about tech on her own Wonder, at least, and had become rather intuitive with tinkering in general, so she reached out with the hope of being able to help. And then spent the better part of the time between scheduling a meet and the actual meeting trying to justify her offer to help in the first place.
"Evening~!" She greeted the senshi as soon as he came into view, happy to hide her nerves behind the very bright (maybe even overly bright) greeting. "Sorry, am I late?"

Aberdonia glimpsed someone coming around a corner that could almost certainly only be a knight, sporting a big, cybernetic-looking shield, with bracers, kneepads, and pauldrons, dressed all in blues and silvers and whites, fur and chrome and circuitry. He hadn't paid much attention to astronomy or astrology, so he could only guess that the symbol emblazoned on the shield and decorating her outfit was associated with Mercury.
He waved and grinned. "Hey! Nope, you're not late, I'm just early. Ready to go?" he asked. Frankly, he was excited, and hoped this senshi was excited, too, to see the technology of another world, if nothing else.
He pulled out his senshi phone, flipping it open, prepared to hit the button, already filling his mind with thoughts of that car dealership where he'd set up his base camp, with its corroded electric cars and degraded solar panels.

The relief at his reassurance was plain to see on her face. "Oh, good," she replied before nodding at his question. "At least I hope so." She gave a little laugh at that, watching as he prepared to go and taking a deep breath as she tried to wrangle up her nerves. Maybe she ought to have asked more questions earlier on to get a better feel for what she was about to walk into.
Not that she expected anything bad! She just didn't want to waste his time because she'd overestimated herself.
Exhaling the breath, she extended her hand. "Alright, whenever you're ready."

Aberdonia took Ekstrom's hand and nodded. "Okay. Let's go then." He depressed the button, focusing on their destination. Light suffused them, and they were no longer on Earth.
Aberdonia looked around, blinking. They...weren't inside the building. Oookaaayyy. They were right by a solar panel array on top of the building, if the lot of rusting cars below were anything to go by. Though...was it him, or did they look a bit less rusty than they had almost a month ago?
That said, up here, the city spread out around him, mostly on a grid with streetlights and the like, but undulating a little bit along the broad expanse of the river, choked with papyrus and other water plants. He frowned a little. Were there no animals to combat the vegetation? That...begged all kinds of questions about the asteroid's ecosystem, but that wasn't important right now.
The senshi looked around, and spotted what he was looking for, and hoping to find. Bingo. Just like his parents and grandparents talked about in Lebanon and elsewhere in the Middle East and Egypt. Ventilation towers angled to catch the cross breezes and direct them down into the building, right behind the decaying solar array. If they wanted to explore more, or get inside from the heat, they could get in through the ventilation towers. Maybe not elegant, but, hey, it had apparently worked for thousands of years on Earth, why not thousands of years on Aberdonia.
"So, not really intending to wind up on the roof, but that's fine, we'll work with it. Last time I was here, I found these solar panels, the cars below, and now the street lights. On previous visits, I just assumed this asteroid was just like ancient Egypt on Earth, but that's clearly not the case. Any thoughts? I think it'd be cool to restore some of the technology on Aberdonia, but I have no fekking idea how to go about it," he added lamely.itspao_ Baseline concept for Aberdonia is "Ancient Egypt, but in the 1920s, if ancient Egypt had just casually and naturally progressed into the 1920s without outside interference, no Muslims, no Rome, no Alexander the Great and Ptolemies, no Persians, etc, all run on renewable sources of electricity". Solar panels, wind farms, electric cars, and electricity are a thing, but all set against an ancient Egyptian backdrop, and using designs and motifs strongly derived from ancient Egypt.

Hot was the very first thing she sensed upon their arrival. Hot and dry, and given her current state of dress, the first thing she did was start working to shed her extra fluffy, insulating jacket. The remainder of her uniform she would just have to tolerate, which was…probably fine. She had other things to focus on besides the heat, after all.
Like the expanse of a desert city that now lay before her.
Ekstrom's eyes grew wide and curious and she took in the sight. Unlike her own Wonder, which was limited to a specific area on Mercury, this city and everything beyond it was entirely the senshi's territory.
That thought was as amazing as it was daunting. She could barely handle the speck that her Wonder must be in comparison to the entirety of Mercury…
The Knight forced her attention back to Aberdonia when he spoke, her head bobbing along as he explained a bit about his previous visits. "My Wonder's mainly a research facility straight out of a sci-fi movie, so I don't exactly have a good frame of reference," she said, looking more amused than anything. "And unfortunately I haven't visited too many other Wonders of Homeworlds, so I'm not really sure? Seems like the tech is more advanced than on Earth, if there's solar panels like these, so trying to restore seems like a good place to start."
Reaching over, she gave him an encouraging little smile and a gentle pat on the shoulder. "Well, that's why you reached out, yeah? It's a one-visit-at-a-time kinda learning. I won't pretend I'm some kind of expert since it's your Homeworld and all, but I'm happy to try and help where I can. I'm sure there are others that will be, too."
