Both of his parents are Muggles and they all had a relatively normal life until he was nine years old. Then there were several incidents that led them to believe there was something wrong with him. He experienced several different magical events, but always alone. Quentin couldn't duplicate the events when his parents and sister were watching. It wasn't until his eleventh birthday when someone arrived to inform them that he was a wizard that anyone believed him.xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxxxxxQuentin attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Hufflepuff, despite his artistic nature. The Sorting Hat cited his friendly and honest nature as the source for its decision. Que did thrive in Hufflepuff and made lots of friends, including a girl from his year named Serafina Thorne. Que and Sera became fast friends and wound up dating in third year. During fourth year, the two took their relationship to the next step only once, but it was enough to result in Serafina getting pregnant. Both teen freaked out and considered what to do about the issue but Sera's parents insist she carry the baby. Their child was born during the summer after fourth year and just before they were supposed to return to school, the baby was left outside Quentin's house. Serafina did not return to school that year and Que later learned that they moved out of the country and transferred Serafina to another school. Quentin's parents agreed to raise the baby that he named Temperance until he was out of school and could raise her himself. Quentin was heartbroken that the girl he loved was gone, but did his best to pull himself together and finished school, getting decent grades.xxx𝒜𝒹𝓊𝓁𝓉𝒽𝑜𝑜𝒹xxxxxxAfter graduating, Quentin lived at home with his parents while he looked for work to support his daughter. At first he bounced around different retail jobs, until he found some decent work in the mail room of a major British business. Quentin taught Tempy about her magical heritage, despite his parents protest over that. He expected her to receive her Hogwarts letter when she turned eleven, but the letter never arrived. He realized too late that she was a Squib and she cried for days after that. A few years later, he was downsized by the company when they began going out of business. She was born in the Thorne household, but her mother and grandparents abandoned her on her father's doorstep. Her mother's family moved out of the country, removing her from Hogwarts in the process. Her father named her Temperance Fantasia and she was raised by her grandparents until her father graduated from Hogwarts. Tempy was a active child and loved to play with the neighborhood children. Her dad told her all about the magical world and she was excited to go to Hogwarts. On her eleventh birthday, they waited for her letter to arrive in anticipation, but the letter never came. Her dad went to the Ministry to find out why and had to tell her that it would never come. Temperance cried for several days after learning that.xxx𝒮𝒸𝒽𝑜𝑜𝓁 𝒴𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓈xxxxxxShe had been going to a Muggle school before expecting to go to Hogwarts and the family decided to keep her in the school after she learned that she would not be going to Hogwarts. Temperance tried to focus, but her sadness over not being magical made her retract from her learning. It got to the point where she was beginning to fail her classes. At her grandmother's urging, her father pulled her from school and she began to be home schooled by her grandmother. Her grades did improve from there.
