Spring was approaching, and clean, cool air was sweeping through the academy plaza. Fragrant, blooming trees surrounding the large open area like sentinels. The ground was completely polished white stone, with accents of blue marble that occasionally attracted your eyes as you looked around. various groups of students could be seen all over the place, gathering around notice boards made of magical glass. It was one of the great inventions of Entei, capable of displaying information weaved by magic. It was the very same invention that many people in the city had on their personal devices. They were very much like smart devices of Non-magic Earth, but only functioned near Arcane Crystals, huge, glowing blue shards that hovered across the city.

"Ah, the bulletin boards" chimed in Kotaro, blue eyes like sapphire peering over the various students ahead of him. He could see the academy farther away in the distance, rising high above the horizon. "A pity they're all fool's work" remarked Kaito, flashing his pink-red eye with a side-eye glare at his twin brother. The two would be almost impossible to tell apart if not for their contrasting eye colours and different shoulders. Kotaro, with near-white silver hair, blue eyes, and golden admiral shoulders was slightly more upbeat than his brother, Kaito, who had eyes of the colour of the moon in eclipse, and a warrior's silver pauldrons. "That's all very true, brother. JayBird!" Kotaro called for their trainee star, looking at him with a smile. "Do help these misguided students direct themselves to our bulletin" At that moment, Kaito brushed passed them as mumurs began to spread around the nearby students as he pulled out his device and tapped it against a vacant noticeboard. The glass lit up blue, then a spread of information appeared.

JayBird Song

Spring has enveloped the campus providing clean, fresh air to all walks of life here. Blossoming trees surrounded the area, the white ones in particular reminded JayBird of his owl, Featherine. Due to some rumor that his mother, HummingBird, had heard about birds becoming ill; she insisted that Featherine return home. Even his father, MockingBird and his two brothers, RavenBird and RobinBird wanted her safe. She was more than a pet, more like a family heirloom because she had lived beside his grandfather, PhoenixBird, until his passing. Featherine was given to them when JayBird was born and he had the most connection to her since PhoenixBird died on the day of his birth. It was hard to talk to people when he told Featherine about everything, but this gave him a chance to stand on his own and make some human friends. His eyes focused on the white stone marked with accents of blue marble so he didn't become overwhelmed by the sight of all the students. He followed the twins, Kotaro and Kaito, his own friends...well teammates, to a magical glass board. The bulletin boards were powered by magic from Arcane, similar to small personal devices that people use in the city powered by the Arcane Crystals above.

Kotaro, the blue eyed, white-silver haired twin that wore gold admiral shoulder pads peered at the bulletin board amused. He was slightly more upbeat than Kaito, the pinkish-red eyes twin with silver-white hair wearing silver pauldrons. He scoffed at the tasks finding everything beneath him, like they always did but at times they mean well. JayBird simply wants to fit in with them, but he doesn't think he could every bring himself to their level of perfection. Despite this, they kept him around and he didn't complain figuring he was valuable in someway to them. He was ripped away from his emptiness without his owl and called over by Kotaro. He smiled at him graciously as he commanded him to direct students to the blank board that Kaito tapped his device into to display the twins training regiment. JayBird was loosely informed of this plan, but some of the "additions" made him quiet uneasy. A date with him for the winner!? He couldn't even talk to a regular student much less a girl! JayBird pretended to smile and nod obediently before turning away to grimace as he left the two's side. He wobbled out to the passing students trying to pipe up his voice, but consistently kept stuttering. "Ummm...excuse me...w-would you...uhhhh...there's ummm..." He wouldn't make it as a professional salesman that's for sure. He sighed when he heard his nickname, more like a pet name, being called in the distance.

Two girls, twins in fact like Kotaro and Kaito, ran right up to him and each wrapped themselves around his arms. "Birdy!!!! Did you miss us!?" They chimed in unison causing JayBird to blush. "I saw you both yesterday." He replied sheepishly as the girl on his right spoke. "That's too long!" Rayra was the girl's name. Both her and her twin were brunettes, but she sported short hair cut into a bob, had emerald green eyes and wore a blue uniform with a short skirt. "Why don't you join us and ditch those two losers!" Rysette was the other twin sticking her tongue out playfully towards the twins. She had long hair tied in two braids, hazel-green eyes and wore the same uniform as her twin but with a long skirt past her knees. For some reason, the two of them were in love with him, or at least used him whenever they could to get back at Kotaro and Kaito. To be honest, the pairs were always butting heads trying to out rival the other with their massive egos. JayBird was always catch in the middle keeping the peace, but to no avail. "Rysette, their my teammates. I have to stay by them."

Rayra shook her head in disapproval attempting to change his mind. "But your magic would suit ours so much better!" She had a point there. Rayra had the gift of song, kind of like Aoi, but poppier. She used it to enhance her twins abilities which was to stream sound threw her bass guitar weapon. She used her bass like a bat, but the soundwaves emitted from it could shake up the earth breaking foundation and knocking over opponents. JayBird's magic could be amplified and he could assist Rysette with a storm of lightning or a used gravitation in a number of ways. Still, he was paired with Kotaro and Kaito for a reason and he'd never turn his back on them. "Thanks for the offer, but I plan on staying with them. We can still hang out-" He was cut off by the girl's obsessive whining. "No!!! We want you with us! Please!!" JayBird sighed helplessly hoping that someone would save him. He didn't dislike the girls, but their insistent badgering made him uncomfortable and he just didn't know how to say no.

Kotaro and Kaito hadn't JayBird failing in his mission, thanks to the little amount of effort that it took to get the attention of the students here whenever it concerned the Onsen Twins.

✦ ✦ ✦

Kotaro and Kaito took to the stage, standing either side of their bulletin board as they addressed the crowd. A flash of gold and Kotaro extended his arm, "Lucky you! We're here to make you shine like brilliant stars!" Kaito mirrored him, flashing silver as he said "dear hopefuls, by just attending you are one step closer to sailing the currents we carve in the ocean of the world!" The two then stepped forwards, bringing each lifting one hand to meet in the middle as they spoke together in unison. "Lucky you!" Kaito then chimed in with a smirk as he said "please form an orderly queue, less you want to be compared to the animals of Hope Academy!"

In that moment, Kotaro noticed that their dear apprentice was missing, and was in fact being cornered by a despicable duo. With a scowl, he let go of his brother's hand and gave him a side-eye glare. Kaito rolled his eyes as the two marched over to save JayBird. "JayBird!" cooed Kotaro, voice dripping with overplayed affection. "I do hope we're not losing our chief announcer to a musical rebranding." Kaito stepped in just beside him, expression unreadable but voice smooth as ice. “We’d hate to see you traded off like a festival prize... again.” Kotaro smiled, all sweet on the surface. “Besides, you do look much better in our colour palette. That much blue tends to drown out the talent.” His notion was towards the school uniform the girls wore, something which the Onsen Twins heavily try to cover up with their accessories. It helped then stand out compared to everyone else. Kaito then said "JB. If you’re done with your... detour, there are students still unaware of the opportunity of a lifetime.” Kotaro leaned toward his brother, voice low enough for only him to hear. “Should we add a noise filter next time?” Kaito didn’t miss a beat. “No need. They’ll drown themselves out soon enough.”

JayBird Song

Amongst the girl's whining, he could hear the twins famous monologue in the background. They spoke so precisely and all their movements were in unison or complimentary towards one another. JayBird wondered if one day he'd be able to squeeze into their chorography, but he wasn't much a performer to being with. As they asked students to line up while berating the rivel academy, they eventually noticed his lack of presence. When JayBird heard Kaito's sultry voice imposing his possible traitorous attempt, he quickly shook his head. "No! I was just-" Rayra interrupted promptly, "Better than you lowly street performers!" Rayra released JayBird among with her sister and the two stood their ground aggressively against the boys. Kataro backed up his bother belittling the girl's fashion sense, but at least they all had one. He didn't overdress because he didn't want to stand out, and the uniforms didn't really fit him length wise so the headmaster gave him a pass to wear his simply recreational clothes. The girl's snuffed and Rysette eyed the two up and down before backfiring, "At least we don't look like tacky light fixtures. Her sister must have found this comment efficient because she high fived her sister triumphantly. JayBird didn't like their bickering and was ready to step in as a souverain of peace when Kaito redirected him.

All he could do was nod ready to jog off to the stage where he could see some students already interested. However, the girl's latched onto him once more rolling their eyes at the boy's whispering. "We can do that too." Rysette leaned into JayBird's ear while her sister join. "Call us when you're ready to reconsider your...place." Both of them pecked him on the cheeks before running off and sticking their tongues out menacingly. JayBird stood there shocked, his face as red a Northern Cardinal as he covered his cheeks. That didn't count as a first kiss, right? He suddenly realized that he been lingering a bit to long and jogged off to the bulletin board when he directed students to input their information into the system for the twins to pick through. He had to thank them, but the embarrassment was too much at the moment.

Kaito looked physically struck, repeating Rayra's insult under his breath. It was then Rysette's, comparing them to light fixtures that caused Kotaro to scowl and clench his fists in shock. Then, the girls latched a hold of JayBird whilst he tried to retreat, whispering nonsense to him before they kissed him goodbye and went off into the Plaza. That wasn't without sticking their tongues out at the Onsen Twins, causing them to cross their arms in unison and act unbothered and disgusted at the same time. "Oh look, they scared JB into actually doing his assigned job" Kaito remarked. Kotaro then turned to watch JayBird as he said "JB? When did you nickname JayBird?"
"When I couldn't waste stage time saying his full name."

Meanwhile, at the entrance to the academy plaza, Adelia stepped into the threshold of the wide open space. Students whispered nearby as she marched through, blue scarf made from light silk wrapped around her neck and falling over her shoulders. She wore militaristic Merlin Academy uniform, and she was flanked by a small team of much taller students in similar dress code. She was at most half the height of her team, and visibly much younger too. However her eyes looked sharp, resilient, and ever observant of her surroundings. The students behind her, a mix of 4 boys and 1 girl, chatted among themselves whilst she seemingly appeared to be fine with remaining quiet. As they made their way through the Plaza some students moved out of the way, others whispered and made up rumours, but she rolled her eyes, knowing their were much worse things to worry about in the world. As she reached the bulletin boards she could hear the commotion of two boys wasting oxygen. She grimaced, hearing the sing-song theatrics of the Onsen Twins. They appeared before Adelia with the synchronized confidence of seasoned performers, Kotaro twirling a pen like a baton while Kaito unfurled a glossy flyer between his fingers. "We're organising a mission" Kotaro beamed. "Twin Supreme: Lesson One. We thought you'd bring a unique... edge.” His wink was bright. Kaito, cool and calculating, added, “Your uniformed look is quite striking. It sends a message—discipline, mystique. Students would eat it up.”

Adelia didn’t even blink. Her pale blue eyes locked onto the flyer for a moment, not out of interest but calculation. The Twins’ presence was like a performance staged for her alone, but to her, it was all static—bright lights with no heat. “My orders do not include advertisement campaigns,” she said flatly. “You mistake my appearance for availability. I do not entertain distraction.” Her hands remained behind her back, posture rigid. She glanced between them, as if assessing which was the more dangerous manipulator. “Unless you are issuing a direct command from the headmistress herself, this exchange is concluded.”

Kotaro hesitated, the smile faltering just slightly, while Kaito’s eyes narrowed. For a moment, their charm wavered under Adelia’s frosted authority. She turned on her heel without waiting for a reply, coat fluttering like a snapped banner behind her. They had come expecting a student—perhaps even a child. Instead, they had encountered a soldier still haunted by a war no one remembered but her. As she continued on down the plaza, she couldn't help but take sight of yet another set of twins she hated just as much. She planned on ignoring them. "Valeye" (i might change her name) she said kindly over her shoulder, calling the other female student in her team who had doughy and a kind demeanour. She hoped by engaging in conversation, her pretence of being distracted would work.

"Woh" came another, soft, shy voice from beside JayBird as they watched Adelia march onwards followed by her team. Aoi had appeared beside him, her team somewhere else looking at mission boards. She gave him a small smile, "hey JayBird!" She was known to be a timid girl, but she had quickly come to like JayBird after they met in class a short while ago. Whilst she thought the twins were obnoxious, she never insulted him for being a fan or teammate with them. "I haven't seen the 13th Arcane Battalion for weeks" she said, describing Adelia's elite team. They were a squad specifically put together by her, with special missions given to them by Alexis Truesvale herself. The other 12 magic battalions were adults and part of the official armed forces for the Arcas Soveignty. The 13th, which Adelia led, was the only student group and has special authority in some cases. Although half of the army of this nation was comprised of the students of the academy itself. "They say she's a monster on the battlefield... Once, before you joined, she threw another student into the lake and held him under until he nearly passed out as punishment for suggesting she couldn't lead a team at her age... At least Kotaro and Kaito just push you out of your comfort zone!"

“Soldiers, go forth! Bring absolute extermination!
There's only one thing to do, create a living Hell!”

“⟣Peace and tranquillity, let alone reconciliation,
are the acts of domestic dogs who're forsaken their fangs!
I haven't forgotten my thousands of scars, the flame's heat... spilling organs,
final cries... clouded eyes... ahh, those are the things I truly seek!⟢”

JayBird Song

The small peep that Aoi made next to Jaybird practically made him jump because she seemly appeared out of nowhere. When he turned to find Aoi standing next to him his heart skipped a beat and his cheeks became flushed again. Aoi, along with her incredible team, really made an impact on him during the Winter Tournament at Hope Academy. Even during the ball, he was able to ask her for a dance with the twin's nagging persistence of course. Her team much had been exploring other bulletin boards elsewhere since none of them were really fans of the twins. Aoi never reprimanded him for standing with them because deep down he knew there was more to them than theatrics, or at least he assumed. Aoi pointed out how she hadn't seen the 13th Arcane Battalion in weeks, where as he had never seen them at all or made their acquaintance. Judging by how the twin's outgoing personalities were basically obliterated under the leaders frozen exterior told him he wouldn't add anything noteworthy.

The girl leading the five other students behind her, one girl and four boys, looked like she was barely old enough for grade school. She was blonde with cold, blue eyes and wore a military school uniform. Her blue scarf and coat whipped like a victorious flag in the wind as she easy broke through the twin's advances. Although he couldn't hear what they were saying he knew the twins sale's pitch by heart and their uniformed mannerisms. They were clearly rejected as the little girl turned away with her entourage. She seemed to be conversing with the other female in the group like look more hospitable and sweet. Their battalion was trained specifically to handle campus affairs and anything else direction under Alexis Truesvale's tutelage. The other battalions consisted of adults and were stationed elsewhere, but with the leader being so small perhaps she's the most suitable for this environment? He was trying his best to see her in a good way before Aoi explained that she's actually a monster in disguise. Apparently, she nearly killed a student for undermining her authority by holding him underwater until he nearly passed out. Aoi found her tactics ruthless compared to the twins that just push his boundaries, maybe to often. "I see..." JayBird replied wondering if what Aoi says is true, but seeing the way she harshly rebuffed the twins, he made a mental note to stay away. True he wanted to make friends, but he had to do it in the right way and not force his objective like his teammates. Maybe when she's alone he can really find out more about the student breaking through her tough exterior.

He didn't bother to ask Aoi if she was interested in the twin proposal knowing that she wouldn't be and instead wished her good luck and a small goodbye. They'd see each in class after all the bulletins initiatives were filled. He waved her goodbye as he trotted off back to the twins and sheepishly replied, "There are plenty of other students interested. Don't worry about her." He just realized he didn't know her name, but he was sure he'd pick it up by the rumors circulating around the students. Besides, he did want the twins to feel like failures just because they couldn't reel in some of the more eccentric students, even though their egos hardly bruised.

Aoi looked up at JayBird as he decided to take his leave, returning to the twins, as he wished her luck. Aoi let out a sigh, understanding that being the henchman of the Onsen Twins was a heavy chore. The twins paid him no mind, however, continuing their theatrics as they served JayBird up on a silver platter to any ogling girls. Their performance was cut short however, as an alarm rang out through the city. Nearby arcane crystals, hovering above the city, thrummed with energy as they emitted a pulse, conjuring a forcefield around the city's inner perimeter. Then - an announcement for citizens to seek shelter emitted throughout Entei. Each of the bulletin boards and all student devices then broadcast an official summons.

"ATTENTION: ALL ABLE-BODIED STUDENTS TO ASSUME DEFENCE POSITIONS AT EASTERN COAST. THREAT: SCARRED AIR FORCE AND LAND UNITS."

Adelia stopped in her tracks, staring down the plaza towards the main entrance to the academy ahead. The siren rang out like a symphony that coddled her ears. Her team pulled out their devices to read the notice, and Adelia's lips parted slight to bear her grinning teeth as her smile grew, until she grinned like a Cheshire cat. "13th Battalion, there is no rest on the front-lines! Prepare for maximum ascension and fly-over for optimum speed." They all accepted the order, preparing their magic calculations whilst Adelia felt a presence appear from the academy. Stepping out from the darkness of the giant archway came forth Alexis Truesvale. She appeared like a queen looking down on her young army from the top of the silver steps. She looked tired... tired and angry. Adelia locked eyes with her, her smile fading away as she waited for a command. But she didn't get one... nothing yet - only the subtle nod to begin assault. Adelia turned, facing her team as she too conjured up a column of magic around her. "Launching in 3... 2... 1!"

Aoi watched as the 13th Arcane Battalion shot up into the sky, launched from arcane canons like great cannonballs that pierced the sky. Once they were as small as ants, they soared away like jets with blue glows at their feet. "AOI!" called Carmelia, "time to go."

The Onsen Twins cursed under their breath, not only were they rudely interrupted by an invasion, but they also had to travel like the other common students. "Time to let off some steam, JB" Kaito said. Kotaro then pulled out his device, it read "Team Teleportation Request". He hit the "ACCEPT" button, which flashed bright blue as it pulsed a kind of magical energy. For a small moment, the magical dust pointed at the nearest arcane crystal flying above them before it dissipated. A few moments later, arcane magic gathered around them in a circle, pre-set calculations applying themselves before locking into place, forming orbs that captured them and turned each of them into balls of blue light that shot up towards the crystal. Other students that couldn't fly at such speeds were also sucked up, all of Aoi's team included, towards their nearest arcane crystal that received them and in-turn shot them towards the farthest nearby crystal. The mega-structures at the edge of the city then launched them high into the sky as they soared towards their designated positions on the front line.

((Now going to post elsewhere!))

Lottie had heard all about the main plaza for Merlin Academy, but no descriptions could really do it justice. Aoi had explained - in great detail - that the plaza was where all the students gathered to claim missions. It was like a central point between the city and the academy, where science meets magic and education! Lottie had been gawking at everything since they got off the hover rail at Lord's Mantel. Everything here was so pristine, as if carved from beautiful, ancient metropolises. And then, most of it had been redesigned at some point to become modern, with huge glass exteriors, some with magic flowing directly to them from nearby arcane crystals. And the crystals! Don't get her started on those. She counted them, there were at least a dozen on the way to the plaza, no one everyone here had the magical equivalent of a mobile phone. Neutral City was lucky enough to have one, but only one that worked in the local area for communications.

Micha'el kept a low profile since they arrived. But even he couldn't help but notice the whimsically ordered nature of the city. The whole way he had urged Lottie not to get distracted, and that they likely shouldn't draw too much attention to themselves. All the while he was also looking out for the star - which still wasn't visible to him. But... he swore he could feel something pulling at him. It was as if something was gently tugging at his chest, like a gravitational pull. He noticed it was coming from somewhere nearby, and not so far from the academy either. It helped him to remain at ease for now.

The Plaza was mostly empty right now - except for some small groups of students walking too and from their lessons and extracurricular activities. In the distance was the grand entrance to the academy, where it towered higher than anything else in the city. "Aoi and her team must be around here somewhere" Lottie stomped, "how do you two suppose we find them?"
"I doubt we can just walk into the academy" Micha'el mused, staring ahead at the steps leading up towards the grounds. "Unless..." he looked towards Tsuna, "do we... want to just walk in? It's not like Solomon doesn't know we left." He looked then towards Tsuna's hand, wondering if Solomon was still spying on them. And what of the Prince? Was he still mocking them behind their backs? "Or we could wait out for when classes break." Mciha'el also mused.

Tsuna Miki

Micha'el didn't need to apologize for wanting to find this star of his since the place they were going to was the same. Lottie cheered them up by suggesting other means of persuasion to summon Alexis with didn't sound like a bad idea. Team Sun had a knack for causing disturbances and getting into messes so doing something unconventional wasn't out of the ordinary. They only knew about the main plaza of Merlin's prestigious academy from the letters Aoi had written them. The scientific aspects were off the charts here as students gathered between the city and academy to claim missions presented on holograph projections. The hover rail glided to a stop in front of Lord's Mantel, as they stepped out to an interictally carved ancient metropolises station. The redesigned modern sections were large exterior glass walls with magic flowing within them from the nearby arcane crystals. There were dozens of them powering communication devices that students and citizens had with them. Neutral City harbored one arcane crystal which was strictly used for local communication just proving how much of a disadvantage they were with Merlin.

The three walked around nonchalantly trying not to arouse suspicious from possibly passing students. However, Tsuna felt like she stuck out like a sore thumb everywhere she went due to her odd appearance. She flattened her wolf ears to her head and tried to tuck her swaying tail behind her more to appear normal. Luckily, the plaza was empty expect for those precocious students trying to get to their classes or extracurricular activates. It wasn't hard to find the grand entrance to the academy with its soring towers and virtuous presentation. Lottie suddenly brought up how they're going to locate Aoi's team. More importantly, how were they going to get in? Could they just walk in or did they need special permission? The two looked at Tsuna curiously and Micha'el even mentioned Solomon's watchful eye of them. Sadly, it was likely he didn't know they were there considering the Prince had completely abolished his gaze. She looked down at her hand not wanting him to appear and scare unsuspecting students. They could just wait like bumps on a log for class to be dismissed, but Tsuna wanted to advise against wasting time.

Suddenly, Lottie was practically knocked off her feet by a passing student whom looked in pure distress. "I'm going to be late! They're going to disown me for sure!" The boy with messy black hair and a dark green parka spouted as he rushed by. Tsuna was about to reprimand for his negligence when she got a glimpse of his different colored eyes. "JayBird!" She yelled automatically causing the boy to stop in his tracks and turn around. "I'm sor-" His eyes widened when he noticed who he had bumped into as he breathed out flabbergasted. "Team Sun....but how...where...." He stuttered trying to make sense of his encounter when he heard a bunch of footsteps coming from behind him. He looked behind to see a hoard of female student along with the two sets of twins taking the lead as the first set of classes were came to an end. Rayra and Rysette pointed him out and yelled simultaneously, "You're not getting away this time JayBird!" His teams added to their statement as a gaggle of female students wanted his attention wondering about his absence. He turned back to Team Sun and shouted, "Run!" Tsuna didn't have time to comprehend the madness as JayBird grabbed her and Lottie's hands shoving them forward with Micha'el towards the entrance of the academy.

Lottie, mid thought, was suddenly knocked aside by somebody moving too fast to look where they were going. She felt against Micha'el who caught her quickly. Tsuna turned to reprimand him. Lottie steadied herself, passing Micha'el a smile as she saw a flash of messy black hair and a vague sense of familiarity as the boy spoke. The three of them came to the same realisation as Tsuna called JayBird's name. He mumbled something that Lottie couldn't quite understand as the sound of footsteps grew behind them, followed by the call of some girls they hadn't met before. Lottie tilted her head, "twins?" she muttered, before suddenly seeing a different set of twins attempting to see over the crowd of girls. "JB! You're damaging our public image!" Kaito demanded. Kotaro meanwhile reached a fist into the air as he looked down upon the female twins ahead, "your mere presence is damaging to us. JayBird is allergic to your second-hand stitching and third-rate jewellery." Lottie felt her face twist into a tight grimace at the sound of the Onsen twins. However, JayBird caught her hand and pulled her with him.

She spun, finding Tsuna was also in this chase now. They rushed into Micha'el who dashed out of the way to avoid a collision. As they passed he took one more look towards the crowd of girls, noticing both the female twins before he made the decision to reluctantly follow, running alongside them. Lottie quickened her pace so her small legs could keep up. "JayBird! Why are- we running?!"
"Are they angry with you?!" Micha'el asked, desperately trying to calculate the routes ahead of him, wondering which way he was about to turn.

Tsuna Miki

Of course Katio was concerned with his and his brothers image considering they were the envy of the school. Kotaro bashed Rayra and Rysette harshly, but the two ladies brushed off their insults coming back with their own crud commentary. "You're one to talk, Judas! He's actually allergic to your absurd lessons and last years fashion choices!" Rysette exclaimed having Rayra cheer her on. Meanwhile, JayBird was being bombarded by questions from Team Sun which was rightfully so since he dragged them into this mess. "Trust me! They'll eat you alive!" He answered Lottie over exaggerating just a bit. "No-Yes---Maybe!? They're all either obsessed or deranged." He could understand his teammates frustration, but the crowd of females just simply adored him from a number of reasons. When he looked out himself in the mirror he didn't see much, but to other students, mostly females, he had some kind of charm unknown to him that attracted them.

JayBird lead them into the halls falling a bit behind the other to keep track of the crowd and to make sure they wouldn't be swept up in it. His adrenaline got the best of him as he tripped falling to the smooth, almost reflective, clean floors. Tsuna stopped in her tracks when she heard the flop and was ready to go back for him when he stook his head. There was no time and in order to save Team Sun from the ravenous hoard he smiled back nervously. "JayBird! He's going to sacrifice himself!" She said to the others as the wave approached just inches behind. "It's you that has to go one Team Sun. Not, me, not the twins, you!" Within seconds the students ascended on him as a tear of instant regret rolled down his cheek. He was dragged into the crowd giving a last thumbs up as he was swallowed. JayBird gave them some last words of encouragement so they could go on without him. "Fly you fools." Tsuna was held back by her teammates as she yelled, "Noooo!" However, Micha'el and Lottie encouraged her to go on and that his bravery would not be in vain. Together they all ran down the hall further ready to round a corner when they all fell into a familiar group. Getting back on their feet, Tsuna looked over the group and replied, "Aoi! Carmelia! Sagiso! Kuroyuri!" However, before they could unite with old friends, Rysette and Rayra caught them off guard. "Charlatans! You dare enter our campus and mess with our Birdy! After them!" They each had a small army of female students at their sides ready to take down Team Sun for their intrusion. "We should run..." Tsuna said clearly stressed out now.

Micha'el and Lottie ran as fast as they could. JayBird explained that the cult following him was either just obsessed or deranged. Micha'el wondered whether it could be a bit of both. He brought them into the walls of the Academy itself. Micha'el passed through the main entrance thinking it was all unexpectedly easy. What was going on at this school? Why were the students so wild, wasn't there anyone keeping order around here? It was hard to take in the grandeur of the classical architecture. It was however easier to notice the modern refurbishments and arcane accessories. They found themselves in one of the wider corridors, near the centre of the academy. Lottie felt relieved to notice JayBird's tight grip was gone, not realising she was running so fast without him. She heard the sudden thud of someone hitting the floor and turned back to see JayBird. Tsuna let out a cry as she explained that he was going to sacrifice himself. The exchange of words that followed determined that Team Sun would go on ahead. Lottie - completely involved now - urged Tsuna to keep going so that his loss wouldn't be in vain! Micha'el however was shaking his head and narrowing his brows, wondering what the hell was happening.

At another intersection Team sun prepared to make a sharp turn when another team walked out in front of them. Micha'el couldn't stop himself and came skidding into Kuroyuri. The two fell flat on the floor together. Meanwhile Tsuna crashed into Carmelia and Lottie collided with Aoi. The pair fell sideways into Sagiso, who back-stepped and managed to catch both the girls' arms to stop them from falling. Micha'el opened his eyes to find Kuroyuri's chest. Looking up he widened his eyes and quickly pushed himself up. "Sorry!" he exclaimed. Kuroyuri was quiet as usual, eyes looking more disappointed than anything as he slowly pushed himself up and brushed himself down. Bow now Tsuna and Carmelia had stood, and Tsuna was exclaiming them names. That was when the female twins appeared somewhere behind them, proclaiming Team Sun as intruders. Micha'el spun round to face them, then noticed the army of girls behind them. Tsuna suggested running, and Micha'el was nodding in agreement. Lottie on the otherhand... was already punching her palm with her fist and grinning wildly. "LET'S BREAK THEIR LEGS!"
"Absolutely not" Carmelia intervened, stylishly stepping around Lottie to face-off the group of girls and the twins. She then held up a finger, forcing them all to stop in their tracks. She the scowled over the top of her red, oval sunglasses. "You just ruined my favourite scarf." Some of the girls could be seen looking down at her slightly scuffed thin brown scarf, textured with fine details hanging loosely around her neck. It must have got caught when Tsuna fell into her. "Your little birdy is currently attempting a great escape about ten steps behind you. I suggest you you all find a better hobby than stalking. As for you two" she looked now towards Rayra and Rysette, "style is about knowing when less is more. That applies to words as well as wardrobes."

What happened next was up to the twins. Kuroyuri and Sagiso were standing arms crossed in front of Team Sun, meanwhile Lottie had snuck forwards and was taunting the twins as she leaned into view. "I held his hand, so did Tsuna" Aoi them appeared beside her as the two slapped hands. Kuroyuri shook his head in disappointment in Aoi, honestly, Lottie was a bad impression!

Tsuna Miki

Tsuna had no idea what had gotten into Lottie and hadn't seen her this aggressive in a while. However, Carmelia wasn't siding with any of the fractions nonsense and stepped in front of Team Sun. She stopped the gaggle of girls in their tracks declaring that they had ruined her property. Tsuna, of course, felt responsible for getting swept up in the chase bumping into Carmelia. She advised the women to return to JayBird whom was still consumed in the sea of students before telling the twins to take a hike. Rayra stood their with her mouth agap as Rysette trying to think of a worthy comeback. "Style is about asserting your dominance over the lower class." She looked Carmelia up and down judgmentally as her sister eyed the rest of the odd band. The two of them pratically rolled their eyes at Lottie's outburst as Tsuna turned red slapping her forward wondering why Lottie had to be so blunt. As Kuroyuki and Saigso stepped forward to help defend them, the girl's knew they were outnumbered. "You better keep your hands off him or next time you'll really get it! Ladies!" Rayra shouted as if she was a classy dignitary and away with her sister leading the group back to the crowd.

Tsuna still felt bad for JayBird, but knew he'd be fine considering how tuff her could be given the opportunity. She turned to Aoi smiling gently letting herself breath a little easier again. "It's been a while, huh?" Honestly, she didn't know where to start without giving to much of their mission away.

Carmelia cocked her hip. She was thoroughly unimpressed with Rysette's comeback. She felt the heavy glare of Rysette looking her up and down, which she soon reciprocated nonchalantly as the girl finally decided to turn around, leaving one last threat to Team Sun before they left. Carmelia rolled her eyes, turning to face them. "Don't worry" she said, holding up the scuffed part of her scarf as she looked at Tsuna, "this is my spare."

Tsuna was right, it had been a while since they last saw each other, but the Christmas ball felt like it just happened at the same time. "You're telling me" Sagiso began, running his hand through his coral hair. Kuroyuri stepped forwards, nodding to them as a greeting as he spoke softly. "Aoi said that you had taken a special mission."
"Oh! Yeah, Professor Solomon found me snooping around for you... Said you wouldn't be back for a while. Is it a secret mission?"
"Well..." Lottie scratched her head, looking between Tsuna and Micha'el. "It's kind of a long story. But... yeah. Super secret - hunting down bad guys - chasing the undead - all the fun stuff."
"Yuck" Carmelia added, she looked disgusted. Sagiso looked at them with wide eyes, "what brings you here then? Is there a bad guy at school?! Oh man." Kuroyuro sighed, "but... we just got a bad guy last week."
"Let them speak, boys" Carmelia chimed in, smiling towards Tsuna and her team. Micha'el looked at Tsuna, completely letting her decide how to take this. Lottie on the other hand looked eager to spill ALL the information to them.
