The snow has finally melted from everywhere except the mountaintops. Flowers and plants make their final push through the soft ground as it finally defrosts to bloom and sprout; leaves return to bare branches. Green and warmth are returning to the Kawani lands. Warmer days have melted frozen lakes and the snowmelt coming down from the mountains seems greater than previous years (perhaps credited to the blizzard). New rivers and streams are being created from this snowmelt and lakes and rivers are widening and rushing.

How does your soquili react to the changing landscape? Do they stake claim to one of these new bodies of water? Does the creation of a new stream put their territory at risk? Do they have to relocate?

Write an RP responding to the above prompt telling us about how your soquili responds to the changing soquili lands.

The weather had began to clear, Zuri had made his way from the frozen place he took shelter in and now he was walking into the thaw. Everywhere he looked there was patches of Green, the beginnings of new life once again appearing to celebrate the seasons change.

The air felt cool but comfortable as it rippled across his back and swished his mane about his face. Snorting, he shook his head and kept on walking at a nice, leisurely pace.

He was in no particular hurry to return home, he in all honesty did not miss it. It had become monotonous and he was tired of being in the same place all the time, which is why he took a trip in the first place. Unfortunately, he got more than he bargained for with that devastating blizzard. He took that as a sign it was time for him to move on and settle somewhere new. He didn't have family or a mate to worry about only himself. His possessions though sparce held special meaning to him. He would find where he wished to settle, lay claim to it and move his precious belongings.

The blizzard made him truly see the outlook of his life and he realized he had changes he needed to make in order to be happy. He was not one to settle down and do the same routine for very long before he became restless. That restlessness had already caught him in several mishaps before the blizzard, but that blizzard was the final nail in the proverbial coffin as they say.

He had been pondering this for a time now, never landing on what he wanted exactly. The blizzard forced him to choose and now he had. It was time to find a new place he could call home and enjoy his surroundings. He didn't like to be very near others, neighbors were of course unavoidable, but he was standoffish when the need arose.

As he walked, he took in the sights. The landscape before him was beautiful. Patches of green grass peeked through snow; small flowers of varying colors dotted the landscape in a dizzying array of non-symmetry. Small bushes showing signs of fruit growing, and trees along the distance with leaves slowly returning to vibrant colors.

A soft splashing floated to him on the wind, stunned he stopped and looked around. Seeing nothing he tilted his head in an attempt to figure out which direction the sound had traveled. After a few moments, the sound came again. Turning to his right he followed the sound until he came across a body of water that was not there when he travelled this way before the blizzard. The sound he heard was the ripples of water that seemed to be moving quickly hitting the side of the land as if the water had carved itself out a place.

Intrigued he looked around and noticed nothing. No others were about. This was once a beautiful small plain field with a small. wooded area behind it you had to pass through to get up and over the mountain.

As he assessed the land around him, he saw something that made him stop and stare. There was an area that was higher than the rest, as if the water had hit a dead end and due to the rushing waters raised up the ground some and just stayed that way.

He studied that area for a few minutes, imaging building his home there. His keen eyes scoped out the best place to put his house, his work shed, his storage shed and where he could put his outside food barrels since some of his food could be stored that way. His eyes hungrily passed over the rest of the area trying to gauge if this was truly the best spot.

He walked over the part of the land he decided to claim for his own, turned himself around and stared ahead of him. He saw what appeared to be a small beach beginning to form. The water would stop part way, but the land was giving away a bit as if carving out the sandy part.

Looking around he saw shiny things scattered about the dark, wet dirt and decided to investigate to see what these were and possibly where they came from. As he slowly walked, he noticed all kinds of rocks, glass fragments, wood pieces, shells and possibly animal bones. Several of the rocks caught his eye. They were almost see through but very clearly rocks. He thought to himself "These would make a wonderful decoration for my new place" and he set about gathering as many as he could find. Occasionally a piece of colored glass would catch his eye as would shells.

He was so enthralled in what he was doing he didn't notice the sun starting to dip below the horizon. He realized he needed to find shelter quickly and he remembered about 2 hours away was an Inn he could stay the night. Taking the items, he collected and placing them in a small pouch he always carried, he started the 2-hour trek to seek a place to sleep comfortably.

His mind wandered about what type of wood he would use to build his home, what furnishings he would decorate with. If he needed 4 or 6 windows as he loved fresh air and the feeling of being outside and inside at the same time. Yes, he knew this was weird, but he didn't care, he knew he was a different sort of male. If you didn't like it was your issue not his.

He did want something different from what he has now, he would not destroy the home he had built. He would simply abandon it, and whomever found it was welcome to it. He felt the need to move on and found the perfect place to do so. The beginning stages of a plan was forming, a list of needed supplies to complete the home and to decorate and furnish it, as well as the garden he wished to plant. He loved to tend to a small garden, having fresh produce was to him almost magical. The fact there was berry bushes not far from where he planned to build also was also a factor in him moving here. He can make all sorts of jams and sweets with those.

He was getting ahead of himself, first he had to get through this night. Then make a full list of what supplies he would need and get them to the area he wished to claim before someone else stumbled up on the majestic tranquility of that area.

He knew his friends Feck and Fick would be happy to help him if he was inclined to ask. They can be a odd sort but since they were twins, they tended to act similar and not at the same time. They were the dependable sort though, he knew he could rely on their help anytime. He really didn't want to share this spot with anyone but to get his plans done quicker he would ask.

As his mind wandered down a mental checklist, he began to add small things he suddenly thought of. Seeds, soil, cheese. Yes cheese, he used it in everything he ate. Yes, he knew that was bad, but he didn't care. To him it was an explosion of flavor he couldn't live without.

Before he realized it the inn was right in front of him. He shook off his stupor and went inside to inquire about a room for the night. The innkeeper, friendly as usual, greeted him. After their transaction was completed showed him to a nice, spacious and clean room. He inquired about getting a meal even though it was late, innkeeper nodded of course will be within 30 minutes. He turned to leave and said "If you require anything else please don't hesitate to ask, someone is always at the desk" and with that he left.

Before he ate, he decided to clean himself up. When finished he settled down to go over the mental checklist when a knock came at the door. He got up, opened it and saw a young mare bringing him food. He stood to the side and motioned her in. She placed the tray down and asked him if he required anything else. He shook his head and she stated, "When finished please leave the tray outside the room, I will collect it later as not to disturb you. Good night" and she left.

Tomorrow his plans would begin as would his life anew.
