There was, as ever, work to be done. And, honestly, given everything with Simon? Nasgyagite actually felt more motivated to do it than he had in a long time. He only sort of cared about the fate of this world, in general, but the fate of a single person he actually gave a s**t about? Who had seen him for what he was and accepted it?
Yeah, that was a lot more important to him.
And the air crackled with energy. Breathed it. In the darkness, his serpentine features were mostly hidden, unless someone got close enoguh, so he looked like a bored twenty-sometihng lounging on a bench and listening to music otherwise. It was all too easy to sit on a park bench and pull, and if he took some from the people that happened to walk by? Beign a little extra tired seemed a fair price to pay, to Nagyagite, for protection from the actual end of the world.
And surely no one could object to that. Surely.

Aruna had had a bad week. A very very very bad week. She had been batted around like a rag doll by a pissy youma, had her starseed fondled, and pissed off a corrupt senshi that, rather than fighting with words at the end, told her she was disappointed in her. There was too much going on to be this damned tired and this stressed. So when she felt the familiar prickle of chaos, she was not going to have it. It didn't take her long to identify the source. Not long in the least. Narrowing her eyes, she closed in just enough that her attack would hit. Her foot hit the ground and she watched with no small amount of satisfaction as a wave of magical rocks and debris hit Nagyagite out of nowhere, blindsiding him. Quote: Base Attack: Rocky Sweep!Aruna stomps her foot and the ground beneath her targets becomes unsteady, as if it were eroding and they were trying to balance on sand. For the duration of her magic, targets will be pelted by a small, ethereal stream of baseball size rocks and debris sweeping towards them. The magical landslide can cause the sensation of mild bruises or scratches and targets will feel unsteady and have difficulties finding their footing. This attack has a distance of 15 feet in a cone in front of her and can be used three times per transformation. Terrain change lasts 30 seconds. The effects of the magic will fade when the magic ends, but players can choose to take lasting or more severe damage.

Nagyagite was not, obviously, prepared to be slammed into by a sudden cascade of rocks. He tumbled off his bench, landing on his back on the ground, and felt a surge of pure, unadulterated rage.
Oh, he knew that magic. He knew that magic very, very well.
He remembered the interfering little Senshi, and having her show the ******** up out of nowhere left him feeling absolutely, blindingly furious. Was she seriously doing this right now? Now, when their whole ******** planet was at stake? She was going to get precious about draining energy?
He pushed himself to his feet, storming towards her and glad, suddenly, that he was a very physical fighter.
"What the <********> is your problem," he demanded, furious. "Is your head so far up your self-righteous a** that you can't put aside whatever moral objections you have to energy draining when we're doing ti to save the stupid ******** planet we all live on?"

Watching someone get blindsided by magical rocks would never not be funny, though at least this time Aruna managed not to laugh her a** off. Instead, she frowned. "Doing it to save the planet? I think you're the one with your head up your a**. It's hurting people." She frowned deeper and slammed her foot against the ground again, sending another Rocky Sweep his way.

"Hurting people? Are you serious? It's just energy! They can sleep it off! And I think they'd rather have to take an extra long nap than get eaten by a giant snake monster form outer space!" Was she not aware? Or did she not understand that the Negaverse needed energy to fuel its response?
"Most of the energy I'm getting is from these storms anyway. But hey, if you want to see me hurt people, I can ******** hurt people."
Honestly, he was at his ******** limit with this. So many other people had been able to shut up, play nice, and let Nagyagite help move them all towards not dying in a miserable, stormy apocalypse. And maybe he was just one Captain. Maybe he wasn't ******** important in the grand scheme of things. But he was ******** trying, and here was this self-righteous jackass getting in his way.
"Stand still," he said, voice calming and hypnotic. He would just need her to stay in place long enough to put his hand in her chest, and then he could be rid of this nuisance once and for all. "Relax, and stay right there."Quote: Hypnotic Voice: Nagyágite can make his voice very calming and soothing, making an opponent want to follow his orders (as long as those orders would not lead to death or an identity reveal, unless otherwise plotted). This mild hypnosis lasts for 30 seconds and can be used once per battle.

"How in the hell is draining innocent victims helping literally anything? That's just causing more problems!" To her, it seemed as if he was just using it as a convenient excuse. A very very convenient supposed rationalization for why siphoning energy might be acceptable. And that absolutely did not fly with her. Before she could admonish him further, she felt herself go still, shoulders relaxing as her eyelids drooped. This was definitely not her week, it seemed. She stood there pliantly for him, almost seeming dazed by it all. This was the second time someone from the other faction had caught her off guard, and she was going to seriously have to have a talk with herself about it later.

It was too easy. Nagyagite walked forward, casual as you please, and his hand sank into her chest with basically no effort at all.
"Sorry. But we need energy to power a weapon to stop that monster. And I'll bet a starseed will help us, too. Sucks for you, but you're helping save the whole planet, so that's pretty good, yeah?"
He pulled her starseed from her chest, and carefully lowered her body to the ground. Really, it sucked for her, but like he'd said--this was for the good of the entire world.
Plus, if she was going to keep being self-righteous and charging in out of nowhere, this was bound to happen sooner or later. Better that Nagyagite end her with some gentleness than some other officer who might make her suffer.
All of that sounded very good in his head, and he tried to tell himself that it had to be right, staring at the shining starseed in his hand.

Aruna didn't think it would end like this. That a snake guy would pull her soul from her chest and it would just be over in a blink. She thought, if anything, that she would go down fighting. That if the time came, it would be her fighting tooth and nail to survive or to protect someone. But this? This was so wrong. She felt the hand sink into her chest, and a tear rolled down her cheek. Seriously, twice in one week? Lady luck really, truly was a fickle b***h. Her words came out in a whisper, barely having it in her to protest. "Please don't..." Her eyes met his in a half dazed, pleading look... and then it went dark, the sparkling little jewel of her soul gem now firmly in his grasp.

Then, he teleported away rather than try and deal with what he'd done.

When Aruna's eyes opened, she was alone. She sat up, disoriented as she looked around and tried to understand what had happened. Had he.... given it back? She frowned as she touched her chest before getting to her feet. That was.... different. But welcome. Very welcome. Finding somewhere to hide and let her henshin drop, Halia took a second to make sure she was steady on her feet before making her way directly to the cafe. This needed a hot drink and one of her two idiots to come to terms with this about.
