It was early evening when Daesva spotted the White Moon aura reading on her ComTech. Immediately, she diverted towards that direction, already going through her mind about possible questions she could bring up.

Were there storms on their world? Could she accompany them to investigate and get readings? Had they been working on any satellites? Did they require assistance?

She'd already stowed away a part of one she'd been working on earlier in the day, it now sitting safely in subspace till she next had a moment to peacefully work. Working on them was... something she found she genuinely enjoyed, it was peaceful to focus on. Productive. And greatly able to assist in protecting this planet. All around win-win, really...

As the aura became more prominent on her screen, Daesva began to glance around, searching for the senshi in question...

Totoro wasn't expecting to be followed by someone it was curious. But he also didn't trust it, the chibi senshi had decided that the person who was trailing him could be a threat. So in order to confuse it he decided to duck into some bushes for a minute to get a better look at who or what was following him.

When he finally saw who was following him he frowned heavily, they had blue skin which was very unnatural and with everything strange going on he didn't want to risk it being a youma if he tried to approach like had recently happened. So he opted for the safer option he felt like "DABBLING TOUCH!!" He called as he rushed forward to try and get a quick punch in, in order to try and lose the creature.

Not that a kid rushing in wearing a raccoon oneis was very intimidating.

Quote:
Basic Henshin Phrase: Totoro Power! Make-up
Sailor Scout Attack: Dabbling Touch

When Sailor Totoro calls this attack he can choose one target. This target becomes sensitive to being touched. This attack causes them to be 25% more sensitive. So if they're given a normal punch, that might would cause them to say 'ow' this would hurt 25% more than it normally would. This attack also increases the sensitivity to magic that touches the target's skin - however, it doesn't increase the damage. There's also a small chance this attack could backfire on Tortoro and not work, or hit someone other than his intended target (including teammates).

Totoro can use this attack 3 times and the effect lasts for 15 seconds.

The energy signature was coming from somewhere near here... wasn't it? She frowned down at her ComTech, unsure if the thing was somehow mistaken--had the electrical strike on Mercury damaged it..?

Her attention was diverted to checking on the status of the device on her wrist, rather than on the physical world around her, which really... was incredibly irresponsible of her. But then, she also genuinely hadn't expected a senshi to attack her... especially not a small child in a... strange creature costume..?

When the voice rang out, Daesva jerked her head up, aware of a sudden shift in herself though unsure of what... till a small human child came racing towards her, and actually punched her leg.

"Hey!" It actually hurt, which surprised her more than anything, trying to shove him back with one hand in return as she snarled down at him. "Why are you being hostile? I don't side with the Negaverse, if you believe any of that stupidity."

He was still trying to swing as she pushed him away but something caught his attention and he paused looking up. "You're blue, and you're following me. Why wouldn't I think you're a youma?"

He asked her as he looked up at her still trying to be as intimidating as possible. Just in case she was lying to him. "Besides if you're not a youma what are you? I've never seen a blue human."

Well he'd seen those deep space senshi with tails but they had energy signatures and all that so he could tell they weren't chaos aligned.

What the child said gave her a start, sea green eyes widening for a moment before narrowing with a scowl. "I was hoping to speak to a White Moon senshi about the status of their homeworld, and..." She lifted her hand, looking to her ComTech on her wrist and snorting. "I believe you were the energy signature it was leading to me to."

The redhead continued to scowl down at him, disbelieving at how this child ran at her like this--though to be fair, she respected the bravery. As she considered that, and noticed him still in what seemed to be a sort of defensive, fighting stance...

A slight smile flickered across her face. Yes, she respected the bravery. Foolish child, but brave.

"I am a Velencian. One of the Vanguard. Cadet Daesva, and our situation is... complex here on Earth. But we do not come from this planet. Our own is... it needs help. So we have come to Earth to try and find a way to help it, and our people. We are not enemies to the White Moon, or... I do not wish to be." There was a slight wince as she said this part, aware of that being... especially complex if she were to try and explain their sort of arrangement with the Negaverse... not that she even fully understood it all.

When she explained he relaxed a little but his arms crossed his chest as he was looking at her trying largely to hide the curious expression that was trying to creep across his face.

However, it was difficult when she had a fancy thing on her wrist and was talking about homeworlds. "Oh?" He was looking at her wrist, "Probably I suppose it picked up my Aura. But . . . why would you follow me without saying anything?"

He wrinkled his nose, "I would've been less concerned with you trying to kidnap me or eat me if you'd called out."

To be fair that was probably silly assumptions but he mentally shrugged it off. There was a pause when she said she was Velencian. So another Alien race? They weren't from earth which was kind of obvious with the skin tone. "Are all --- Velen....c..ian?" He paused struggling for a moment with the word. "Are all of you guys blue?" He asked.

He tilted his head when she said they didn't wish to be enemies to the white moon. Okay that was fair. "Well, I'm Chibi Totoro, senshi of Raccoons."

He had relaxed a bit more, "And to be honest, I don't know much about my homeworld. I haven't ventured there yet..." He looked a little sheepish admitting he hadn't been to space.

Not the worst questions to ask, and Daesva gave a small huff of a laugh through her nose. "I try not to be too loud when moving around or communicating with the White Moon. It is a safety precaution--but I do apologize if I startled you, Totoro of Raccoons."

She'd never really dealt with a human child before. She'd seen them around, of course, with their families or other guardian figures, or in groups if they were a bit older from her understanding. But speaking with one now, and a senshi at that, was... very new. At least she could respect the curiosity he held. "No, not all of us are blue--we can be green, pink, purple, yellow, red... Pastels, I think, you would call the colors? But our skin can also be darker hues, of course."

Her brows furrowed somewhat though to hear he'd not gone to... whatever celestial body Totoro was. "Ah, are you... concerned about doing so?" Given he was a child, she wondered if perhaps the notion of travelling to space was frightening..?

Totoro tilted his head when she said she tried not to be too loud when moving around or communicating with the white moon. He looked a little confused, "Is there something wrong with the white moon?"

He wondered why they'd need to take precautions as Daesva said, "It's fine though! I just hope next time we meet you just say hello instead of sneaking up on me." He smiled, "We're friends now!"

There was a pause as she described her people, they sounded really cool, "Oh wow, that's awesome and interesting! I wish we came in more unusual colors but sadly that's not how humans work." He seemed to think, "I'd hope I'd be a purple or a grey if I had a different skin color."

He looked thoughtful for a moment, "A little?" He answered when she asked if he was concerned, "Like before all the magical hero stuff, the most I knew about going to space was using Space ships and space suits to walk around. Now there's all this other stuff going on, some crazy monster in the sky that's going to eat earth and the purple lightning?"

He paused, "I'm just like Robin not even Batman so what if I go to space and can't breathe?" He thought it might be a bit of a silly concern but it was still a concern none the less.

"It's.... complicated." A rather ridiculous answer, of course. But how much would a small human understand of things? That the Vanguard were working with the Negaverse, but not really. "We need to be quiet about who we communicate with. Not everyone likes us, but we'd like to work more with the White Moon." Or some did, anyway. She couldn't speak for everyone in the Vanguard, she was just grasping at straws on how to talk about it.

So she smiles when the child says they're friends, a cute and harmless notion. Children saw things in such simple ways, didn't they?

"I'll make sure I get your attention next time, yes."

She was about to remark that she'd seen some humans use paint to make their skin other colors--though she understood his sentiment didn't match that--when he explained his hesitation on space travel.

And mentioned a... bird? And a bat-man? A person with wings? She didn't understand the references, so ignored them. Instead, she crouched down so she was more on his level, forearms resting over her thighs as she balanced easily on the balls of her feet.

"Some places, such equipment can be necessary," she agreed, and while she didn't have a way to assure him about the world-ending serpent they were trying to contend with, she could focus on what little she knew of senshi and their... homeworlds.

"Worlds that have a senshi... seem to be very different, though. I do not understand it, but..." She faltered, because she didn't know how to explain it. "Many other senshi have gone to their homeworlds out in space, and they are fine. I've never heard of a senshi being unable to breathe on their world. But... would you like company, just in case?"

She'd need to check some available tech, and while she didn't really know she could offer such a thing, she still stated, "If you would be okay with it, I could go with you. If there's a problem and we're unsafe when we arrive, I can help you get back."

Really, it was a full on bluff, but one she... felt safe in making. She didn't know how senshi teleportation worked really, but it seemed to be centered around those phones of theirs? If they did arrive at his homeworld, and Totoro's concerns proved valid, she could at least hypothetically help to keep him calm enough to activate the same system again on his phone to bring them back.
