Whatever Kamacite had been expecting that night, it hadn’t been this. He knew he could have attempted to teleport away, but he was trying to collect pieces for whatever project was being worked on, and he already had a handful of potentially useful pieces of scrap metal.
Oh, and he couldn’t teleport easily, because while he had his dark hair tied back, his robes had gotten snagged in some of the extra pieces of junk lying around.
On top of that, the barking of dogs had startled him, especially with how close they were. He nearly dropped all the pieces of junk he’d collected in his attempt to rip his robes free, but still ended up toppling over what seemed to be an old fence, effectively pining his leg. So even if he wanted to teleport, there was no way he could concentrate with the pain from his leg and the sudden arrival of dogs that would surely eat him!
In his panic, he shot out his simplest flash of light before the dogs could descend on him. Heart racing, he tried once more to wiggle himself free and escape. He didn’t want to hurt the dogs! Just scare them a bit so they wouldn’t hurt him instead.

A flashlight waved nearby, and a firm voice called out a commanding, “Hey, hey, hey! Come on, back off.”
A few of the dogs continued to bark and try to push closer, but the cacophony halved in volume, and shortly after died away almost immediately except for one very determined, very protective shrill little bark. “Earl, I said back off,” the voice warned, and the incessant squeak of a bark suddenly shifted from ground level to arm level.
The flashlight landed on Kamacite, and Earl squeaked out one last, pathetic bark before falling mostly silent. He seemed to be trying to growl but it sounded like little more than a purr.
“...Kamacite?”
The flashlight moved again, away from the senshi’s face and to where his leg was pinned.
“Hold on a minute, let me get you out of here. Are you okay?”

Just one more thing that Kamacite hadn’t expected -- someone who knew him.
He’d shielded his eyes with his hand when the flashlight was on him, but it wasn’t like it was blinding him for long. Despite his own magic, he wasn’t immune to other bright lights.
He eyed the dogs cautiously. He was more powerful as a Senshi, but if this person already knew who he was, and Kamacite had seen him then…
The long dark hair and colorful robes disappeared as Yuuri powered down. Instead, his hair was shaggy but short, especially when compared to his long Senshi hair. And even though it was still relatively warm out, Yuuri wore an oversized sweater and comfortable pants.
He knew he could have probably helped with moving the metal pinning his leg easier with more strength, but he couldn’t even twist enough to push it up.
Oh, but the dogs…
He cringed away from them, but eyed the man curiously.
“I’m sorry. Do you work here? I was just-- I thought some of this could be used. I wasn’t going to steal it! I mean I guess I was, but…” he glanced at the pile of scraps with a wad of cash crunched under them. He had every intention of trying to leave some money. Before he had to try and escape from the dogs.
“Yuuri is fine,” he mumbled awkwardly, feeling weird that this man knew who he was but not the other way around. Of course, the sudden dread that he'd so willingly powered down in front of someone who knew him as Kamacite, when they could have been from any other faction. Oh... he really needed to rest. He was too exhausted to even think about his own self preservation, which he was usually pretty good with.

“Ah!" he answered, in a pleasant and conversational tone. "Yuuri, huh? Well, we were bound to meet eventually. It's nice to meet you officially. I’m Samir. Lopezite. Just give me a second.” He sounded to be in good spirits, despite the commotion poor Yuuri had caused. There was even almost a laugh in his voice–not because of the dogs, but because Kamacite had come here to raid some scraps and intended to pay for it.
Samir probably wouldn’t have even noticed them missing.
“I’ll tell you a secret–don’t let the dogs scare you. They’re not junkyard dogs, we’re getting ready for bed. They keep me company while I do my last rounds before turning in, and when I'm done out here, they all come back inside with me. They’re all spoiled. Look,” he said, and shined his flashlight on the three pound ratter in his arm, trembling with excitement and wearing a goofy bumblebee costume.
“Oh--I’m not one of those dog owners, he’s neurotic and scared of the dark,” he tried to explain quickly, as if he was suddenly afraid of Yuuri judging him. “It’s the only thing that helps. The vet said to get him a thunder vest but he hates it. It's gotta be the bumblebee or he sits there and cries. I promise, he’s all bark and no bite. I’m going to put him down so I can get you out. Keep that cash, but thanks for the offer. If you ever need anything, you can stop by. There's a lot of dogs around here with me right now but they'll leave you alone while I'm here. They're good dogs, just nosey and excitable. Are you afraid of dogs, or just the ones that come running at you in the night?”
He set the dog down, and though it hummed a low growl, it wasn’t barking. The other sounds of panting or scuffling were a little further away, so while the dogs were near, Samir clearly wasn’t worried about them. He passed the flashlight into Yuuri’s hands, as if to silently ask him to hold it, and began to move the metal away so he could get out easier.
