When she had learned about the mortal danger they were all in, Botein didn’t hesitate to offer her help, no matter how little there was of it. She had quickly learned that, at least at that time, there wasn’t much she could do. Luckily it hadn’t stayed that way. Once the pull to the moon came she had put down the project she had been working on and went. The awe she felt from standing in the Spire was quickly overshadowed by the very feeling of Finally she felt. She would finally be of help. Finally able to do something, anything, to help even a little bit.

The young woman had quickly made her way to the Chamber of Prayer, done what she had been instructed to do, and nearly fainted as nearly all of her energy was used to help. She had been wobbly on her feet ever since, tired and lethargic. No coffee or tea could help, but she was getting stronger by the day, and yet there was still a little voice in the back of her head that said she wasn’t doing enough. What else could she do? Was there anything else? Could she return to the moon to bolster their gathered energy for Crystal Tower? Botein had tried that but had magically been rebuffed, unable to even transport to the moon, let alone gain access to the Chamber. With that option gone she was out of ideas.

So the super senshi stood staring up into the void, into the sky, the city lights bleaching out anything and everything leaving only the darkness of the night, and yet she knew that the danger was imminent. There was something out there that would devour the earth. World ending. Life shattering. And here she stood, with nothing to show other than a general ache in her very soul to prove that she did something. It just didn’t feel like enough for her. Time was running out.

Even as danger approached the city, and the world as a whole, like a freight train in space it didn’t stop the seasons from shifting. The night was still the n** of early spring but the trees were rapidly turning green. Blooms had been everywhere, but the windy night was sending a veritable ‘snowfall’ of petals onto the grass. It would have been beautiful, the pale petals practically glowing in the distant lights of the city that surrounded the park she was standing in. The urge to quite literally touch grass, and contemplate her uselessness, had drawn her out there. The stiff breeze tugging on her braid and playing with the fabric of her uniform. And even that didn’t have her looking away from the existential crisis that was bearing down on them all.

It wasn’t until a sound, a feeling, had her looking away from the sky and into the darkness of the park. Sapphire eyes trying to pick out the thing that had caught her attention. What had drawn her from her slowly spiraling dread of uselessness and imminent demise? “Hello?” She called out softly, not actually expecting an answer.

TLDR: She wants to help more then she already has, is tired but quickly shaking off the effects of giving energy to the order side, and is exceedingly anxious about the incoming danger.

Since the whole... display Carnotite did, Lameia had certainly felt a level of... requirement to amp up her work for the Negaverse. The fact her cousin had channeled so much electricity and gave them so much energy to syphon off to put towards the Queen's directive.

That they weren't given exact details, or at least Lameia never heard any, didn't matter. Queen Laurelite gave the order, and if Lucretia was going to use the opportunity to show off... well. Felicity knew she didn't have anything on the level of her cousin, but she could at least do more as Lameia and collect energy. She'd attempted to help out with the satellite stuff, but none of it made a bit of sense to her, so she more just ended up keeping the Mauvian and agent who did know what they were doing company in the Castle while they worked, and she... uh. Supervised. So, she made sure to be rather proactive on her patrols, draining folks she came across--not a lot, just enough to make them dizzy, perhaps, before she continued off on her way. There was even so much in the air itself, that she could just.... pull some right from around her. Side-effects of the storms, from what she understood.

It was actually pretty cool, but like with Lucretia's lightning display, she wasn't about to comment positively on it out loud. Plus, this was... y'know, connected to the whole... world-eating serpent. So she supposed that was to make it seem less cool to others. Her? She couldn't help it. She heard serpent and her attention was piqued and focused. That it was some alien serpent didn't change much on that, if anything that just made her all the more intrigued. Plus... were there other serpents out in space? Could she have some? The notion of keeping some alien snake as a pet in her snake room delighted her, even if she knew it was a ridiculous idea.

She wouldn't know what to feed it, for starters.

Amusing herself as she was with her ponderings, it took her a moment to register the sort of... nauseating sensation she was feeling was a White Moon aura. Her nose wrinkled as Lameia finally took notice, metal high heels clinking sharply on the pavement of the walkway. The park was a typical hotspot for people, easy to drain some idiot drinking too much, or help someone who was already trying to take a nap on a bench...

She followed the aura, long hair blowing lazily in the breeze that teased petals through the air. It was remarkably peaceful, pretty even, for the literal doomsday threat barreling towards the planet. But the presence of a senshi ruined any aesthetic enjoyment she might have gotten from it. Her dark nails tapped idlily on her metal necklace, tracing the serpent's face there. A senshi stronger than her, from what the aura felt like. Even more annoying.

There was no attempt at hiding, though. She walked calmly till the lights of the city illuminated her to the other senshi, smoky blue eyes scanning the brightly colored uniform critically. It wasn't a bad look, actually pretty. The jewelry wasn't overkill, and the patterns on some of the fabrics looked delicate yet beautifully intricate... hm. She got a pass, in Lameia's book.

"Hello. What's a White Moon senshi doing out here on her lonesome?"

It hadn’t taken much for the sound of something tapping against metal drew her full attention, the aura wasn’t difficult to pick up either once she was actually looking for it. Warry but not hostile, she waited until the corrupt senshi stepped further into the light. With a sigh Botein answered, “Trying not to spiral in existential dread. You?” She might have been a bit flippant but honestly the twisting ball of concern and worry was throwing her off her generally cheery attitude. “At least the weather is nice.”

Her eyes took in the outfit of the other senshi, noting the long loose hair and wrinkling her nose slightly in acknowledgement of just how much of a pain that had to be. She loved her own long locks but the idea of it not being in a braid while out patrolling made her just shiver at the thought of the tangles and knots that had to plague the other woman. Botein’s sapphire gaze drifted lower only to lock on to the prominent tattoo the corrupt sported. The short senshi tilted her head like a confused puppy, absently taking a step closer for a better view, and asking “Is it just a representation or is it based on a particular species? The only snake I know that is that large is an anaconda but I am not as familiar with reptiles as I am with other pets.” There just weren’t many snakes or other ‘exotic’ pets at the animal shelter or the vet that she volunteered at. It was a shame really. Snakes were pretty cool.

The honesty received a slender brow raise, and Lameia couldn't help but laugh a little. "Understandable. I suppose this is the perfect weather for a walk and contemplating what'll become of this place." So she wasn't really trying to be totally helpful here, so sue her...

Still, as the senshi tilted her head and stepped towards her, the corrupt's eyes hardened, ready to pull at her magic if need be, should the senshi be foolish enough to attack her. But... no. She asked about her... tattoo. Lameia's brows furrowed a little before she stretched her leg out slightly. Only the body of the snake could be seen in her uniform--the head was covered at her stomach. "A representation. Had I gotten it more recently, I might have chosen a black mamba to fit my sphere," she said with a soft sigh. Being a snake lover as she was, with her own various scalebabies back at home, she couldn't help but eye the woman curiously. "Pythons can get that large, a number of them really. Boa constrictors. King cobras. Gaboon vipers, diamondbacks, some rat snakes... And of course, black mambas."

Yes, snakes were her absolute obsession--if that was somehow connected to her being the senshi of black mambas, she had no idea, but she at least jived with her sphere well enough.

"Not that most of those are exactly pets, mind you. They're far better left to their natural homes, unless someone wants to risk an early grave with their venom."

Botein smiled softly, if a bit ruefully. The warm spring evening really was quite glorious. Quite a juxtaposition considering the peril they were all in. Instead of sinking back into that thought process the young woman focused on the tattoo and the corrupt’s response, absently noting that since she wasn’t outright attacked maybe a friendly conversation wasn’t too illogical.

Maybe they could even be friends!

“Ooooooh, nice! I’ve only read about black mamba’s, or really any of the venomous snakes, but the tattoo looks very neat.” She grinned and started to gesture to about a foot long, “There was this little corn snake that my friend had named Ruby. It wasn’t a very imaginative name but she had it ever since she was real little apparently. Ruby was a sweet little noddle. Always loved to snuggle and absolutely adored her ‘momma’ so I do understand the appeal, even if I do agree that some ‘pets’ are best in their natural habitats.” One of the jobs Botein would absolutely love would be to work at a wildlife sanctuary, sadly though there wasn’t one anywhere near that she could volunteer at. Nor did she really have the right training for it. “It’s a shame really. There are just so many people out there that don’t seem to grasp that… the natural habitat and everything.” A dark thought, a whisper really, had her looking back up at the sky. If there was a way to just remove the ‘bad’ from the world and not the innocents, would it be worth it?

Mentally shaking her head she focused back on the corrupt, “Do you have a pet? Snake or otherwise?”
