Godiva had been studying information for the negaverse for a while and had pretty much settled into her gen ops role for now. She'd heard about the craziness that was coming their way and decided that maybe now was a good time to see Faustite again. It'd been a while and she wanted to show him her progress, at least with being able to drain energy and maybe get some input from the general king on what was going on. She'd also learned some basic signs, she was having a hard time with it but she'd been working hard on learning sign language.
The weird purple sky, lightning and the information she could read up on had her concerned. Not to mention now General Queen Laurilte was telling them they needed hella energy to try and survive. It didn't make Godiva feel great inside about what was going on. She even looked forward to seeing Headache, the youma was fascinating as the general himself.
She had a small note book with her as well, she'd been taking notes in. It was curious how things seemed to progress.

Faustite had spent the better part of a half hour mulling over the information in their database in comparison with the information that he was soon to provide to it. He always felt hesitant about providing information from the enemy — for if they haven't proven themselves duplicitous, they made up for it in sheer ineptitude — and he was loath to contaminate their growing pool of knowledge with misinformation.
Those musings were (thankfully) cut short by a rap on the door. He beckoned, and the cloud of fireflies that decorated his shoulders bade welcome to the visitor: "Enter."
Faustite's office had remained roughly the same: comprised largely of stone and wrought metals, hardly any of it seemed susceptible to its owner's fires. A pair of bespoke chairs sported gothic filigree and ensconced gemstones, with a plush seat upholstered with a heat-resistant vinyl. They were clearly a matched set to the large desk separating Faustite from his audience, which bore similar design motifs and a thick, oval plate of glass that served as functional workspace. Much of the table was clear but for a stack of books shoved off to the side and an open notebook before Faustite. His nib pen and ink were out as well, though he hadn't touched them in some time.
Godiva, he remembered after a beat, and Headache spoke the fingerspelling into form.
Sit. He motioned to one of the empty chairs, giving one a nudge outward with the tip of his boot. What brings you in?

Godiva entered when she was allowed and took a seat when offered, "Good evening Faustite, Headache." She smiled softly trying to hide her worry as she entered.
She was looking for familiarity and maybe something that was comforting though seeing the General King and his Youma provided that if nothing else would. "I had been collecting energy as asked and thought you might like to see my progress." She said softly pulling out her notebook, "I've been trying to figure out the most optimal way to pick up energy."
There was a pause before admitting, "I'm also concerned about the information I've been reading on the approaching storm -- threat? All of that." She eventually said making a motion with her hand. She was restless, "Do you think there's more I could do to assist the cause?"

Faustite nodded when she explained herself. Energy-gathering was a prime focus for most new recruits; it made sense that she was looking to optimize her manner of doing things. The sight of a journal surprised him; he hadn't seen anyone quantify energy gathering or starseeding since he was an unwelcome ward of Umber's. It didn't sound like she was running any experiments, though, so he beckoned for her to lay out her notebook for him.
Shifting forward in his seat to be less of a slouch, he looked up at her again when she mentioned the storms. She caught herself then, reframing them as a threat. Perhaps threat was correct, but Faustite wondered if they were missing the opportunity that greeted them alongside that threat.
After a moment, he began to sign. Headache chimed in with a translation with only a short latency.
"Draining energy will always be of use. If you need a break from that, or want to diversify your help, we could use more ears listening in on the White Moon. Leverage your old connections if you can. Better that we find out what they know to arm ourselves more completely.
"Apart from them, there's the Dark Mirror. They might have some untapped perspective for us. But be careful with anyone you approach — some of them are beginning to panic."

Godiva laid the journal out, "It's just kind of basic who I've run into, who I've drained energy from. I figured keeping data like that might be helpful as I go through the motions more."
She explained as she was showing him what she'd been doing. She wasn't sure if she wanted to try to experiment yet or yank out a starseed. "I'm using some of it to try and gauge if they deserve their starseed pulled." The corrupt senshi added.
She nodded as headache translated about draining energy will always be of use. She seemed to think about her old white moon connections, "I think I have some dark mirror connections I can reach out to, and then I'll see if I can figure out who I want to reach out to on white moon... assuming they don't try to drag me back." She'd fairly settled into things here and was finding her place, plus the benefits actually were way better than she remembered white moon ever having.

Faustite observed the journal without touching it. There wasn't much use in putting black marks into her journal where he held onto a page for too long. It was curious that she would bring up deservedness; it had been quite some years since he thought of starseeding in that manner. And back then, he hadn't found anyone that particularly deserved it. "What are your parameters for deservedness?"
It would be prudent to know — and potentially to shape those parameters — as she settled into the Negaverse. Though, maybe less prudent than in years past; the Vanguard made enough improvements that starseeding was more a preference than a requirement.
He nodded, stretching his hands and shaking out his fingers before signing again. "Dark Mirror's got some interesting plans. Got some kind of ballista. Ran into one of theirs who was draining energy to — fund it, I imagine. Might be worth looking into." Though he rather hoped they could deal with this threat in a manner more amenable to the Negaverse.

Godiva paused when he asked what her parameters were, "Well.. right now -- those who wouldn't hesitate to shoot someone after they stole form them, murders in general and similar crimes."
She paused, "I don't really think that anyone who's defending themselves or was a victim deserves it. But I know that's kind of grey area."
She watched him sign trying to translate it in her head while headache actually translated. "Oh, I will see if I can look into it and gather more information then. I wonder if it'd benefit us or could be made to benefit us." She was thinking, "Of course I couldn't let them know I was thinking that way, they'd probably never give up information if they knew my thought process there."

Faustite listened as she explained her methods. She targeted the people typically considered undesirable — a vigilante way of expunging unwanted things from society. It was a curious thing to think about, knowing there were undoubtedly others like her who wanted unnecessary violence ended in their city. He wondered, himself, at what point would he be counted among their number? Where was the line? Was it his rank that kept others from disposing of him as neatly as the rest?
But there were other matters. Pressing matters, which may mean the end of all murderers and everyone else, too.
Good, he signed. See that you do. Best to let them believe that you are concerned over our collective survival, so working together seems prudent to you. But, I like the way you think. Best we look out for ourselves, however we can.

Godiva nodded as Faustite signed he approved and it was best to let them think it was for the collective good so that working together she nodded.
"Can you think of anything else I should work on preparing?" She asked jotting down vague notes what her intentions were just in case the book was to fall into the wrong hands.
"Should I have us a stash of starseeds in case we need them?" She looked thoughtful as she asked looking to headache. "Maybe I should figure out how to make some sort of energy draining item to give away to folks and see if headache here would be willing to help me hand them out. It'd boost our energy production." She looked back at Faustite and grinned.
