"...I require some.... assistance.... with removal of some extra energy I've come into, if anyone would be so kind."
That was the emergency signal that went out, along with her GPS location atop a skyscraper. It was simple, if... not quite suitable to elaborate on what the energy was, or why she needed the help.
But the moment anyone saw her, it was likely clear enough.
Carnotite's golden-white light was overpowered by the expansive strength of the purple-white lightning. It danced and crackled around her through the air, beneath her skin. Even her three eyes glowed with the same purple light, and the orbs over her head spun and sparkled as small storms of their own form. Every part of her body felt too tight, too small, like she wanted to just expand beyond the confines of her physical body, separate and become more. Join the storm, join the expanse of power.
But thankfully, she knew better than to give into that, her own call of the void.
So she watched the power flow through her, a soft smile on her face. There was no pain, no agony. No regrets. Only pure ecstasy and power that she wished she could keep with her forever.
Oh how her electricity danced with the storm's. It was such a breathtaking, wonderful sight.
But to maintain it too long... she suspected the fallout would be far less enjoyable, unfortunately. She laughed, the sound light and merry through the crackling lightning around her. Perhaps she'd found a new drug of sorts? The euphoria brought on by the lightning from these storms? There was so much power in them, it was overflowing from her. But it could be drained. She could feel it. And something told her the risk would be far, far outweighed by the rewards if she could get someone to assist her in syphoning that out...

Jet appeared almost as soon as the emergency signal was sent out. He was in the area anyway, so a simple teleport to the top of the building was no inconvenience to him.
“General King Jet will assist,” he spoke into his communicator to let anyone else listening know that the emergency was being addressed.
He moved quickly towards the half-youma woman, unable to stop himself from staring in growing concern as she glowed with way too much energy. She didn’t look like she was in pain, but to have that much energy flowing through her couldn’t be a good thing, could it? At least he couldn’t imagine it being sustainable.
“Captain Carnotite? I’m going to start taking away some energy, okay? Let me know if you feel any discomfort and I can stop,” he said quickly. Although they hadn’t spoken directly before, it wasn’t difficult to know who she was, especially given her appearance.
Jet didn’t waste any time. He held his hand out to start absorbing the overflow of energy she had. He had questions, and he glanced briefly at the sky, but his priority was her wellbeing.

The voice that responded to the call was somewhat of a surprise, but not unwelcomed. A familiarity only on the level of hearing someone around an office, knowing the name of a higher up, but no direct contact. She turned her illuminated eyes to the General King, a distant smile still on her face. The power felt amazing. Hearing he would take it away... a part of her rebelled, and the lightning in the air flickered and flashed. It faded swiftly, however, as her brows furrowed. She'd asked for help. She needed the help.
She could contain this energy, but properly redirecting it was... difficult. Perhaps if she were stronger--
"Yes, thank you," she said, shaking her head somewhat from the turmoil of her thoughts. It was a sort of high she was on, an addiction she could so, so easily fall into. But that was the danger. She didn't want anything to have such a hold on her.
As he began to siphon out the energy, she didn't feel... as if she were being drained. Not necessarily. Her own energy was untouched, but the sensation of her skin being too tight, stretched too thin over incredible power, that want to no longer be herself but be part of the storm... that all lessened. She could feel her mind clearing bit by bit, and took greater control over the electricity that sparked and skittered around her.
The energy itself was not the purest, grandest sort, but it was strong in its quality and volume. The ball of purple energy condensed and grew at Jet's hand, crackling and almost spitting with the wildness of the storm that was its origin, before starting to settle into a stabilized, normal state as he continued to drain the energy. The more he absorbed, the more the energy around and running through her eased back into its normal, golden-white glow, the spheres above her head no longer wild storms but more peaceful, spinning collections of electricity. She breathed a heavy sigh as she felt the magnetized sensation ebb away, though with it, an awareness of more if the lightning up above them. A knowing that if she reached up again, she could call more back to her.
There was something heady about that.
"No discomfort. It doesn't even feel like my own energy is being affected," she reported, keeping her mind more focused on the present and not up in the, literal, clouds.

“Really? Interesting,” he hummed in surprise when she reported that she didn’t feel like her own energy was being affected. He watched the glowing, crackling orb with interest, and then at her again.
“How did you get like this?” he asked as he carefully stored one orb of energy, before starting to withdraw another.
There were thoughts whirling in his head already, but he was cautious because he didn’t want anyone getting hurt due to something he suggested. The most important thing was that she seemed to be okay. This was a lot of energy, though. And they had a lot of those shield satellites to make.
“You weren’t struck by lightning, were you?” he asked with a sudden furrow of eyebrows as he glanced up to the sky. He sincerely hoped not. It was dangerous enough to be out there, but for the storm to do this to her?
No… she wasn’t in pain. This seemed to be part of her abilities as a half youma. Something that allowed her to absorb the energy, although he didn’t know how.
But if she was controlling the energy so easily like that, then maybe there could be more use for it. Maybe they could harness it. Ah, but using a fellow officer as a tool was not something Jet was willing to do. At least not lightly and not without her consent. She would be a great asset of course, but if she didn’t want to…
Jet made himself stop thinking for a few moments. There was a lot to consider, but first he needed to find out how she came into so much power, and if there was anything they could do to make sure she remained comfortable before talking about her gathering more for them.
But if she was willing, then maybe… maybe they would be able to turn the tides further in their favor.

The more energy that was syphoned off, the less.... distant her mind felt. She could feel the energy moving through her, towards the General King... but it really wasn't her energy. It was this... other. The electricity that raced through her and lit her up anew. Carnotite could feel herself coming down from the high it caused, far more aware of herself and what she was doing. It at least helped her be a little bit more humble as he queried how this had come to be.
"Yes, I was," she admitted simply, but knew that wasn't the full answer. Carnotite lifted a metal hand, watching the purple energy zinging beneath her skin. It was waning, but for the moment she could still see it. "I intentionally reached out to it, I suppose you could say. Like I would for any electricity near me. Only this is... far stronger. I'd felt a pull to it, after I'd seen a storm over the city. It wasn't the large one you reported on, but a smaller example. I... saw something in that storm."
She was aware, of course, of the lesser reputation and view of some in the Negaverse towards half-youma, and while she found such notions childish and rather silly--were they jealous they didn't have this level of power? Ha--she... was aware she wasn't helping her case here. Oops.
Her third eye opened, and she gestured to it, watching the world through that double-layer of electrical charges. Oh the air was glowing around her with it... "This eye, it can see electrical charges. Pretty, but annoying when trying to use technology. When I looked at the storm with it, though..." Carnotite tipped her head up slightly, watching the clouds above. She could just see it, other flashes of lightning above, those serpents...
"The lightning looks like serpents racing towards the Earth, their mouths open and fangs bared. They almost look like they have arms? But I'm not certain, they move too quickly for me to be sure of any additional features on the body. But they..." She hesitated slightly, closing her eye and looking back to Jet. The energy was almost all properly drained now, and she felt like herself again... unfortunate as that almost was. "I... realize this will sound odd, but they look beautiful when I see them like that. I can feel it's power, and I had a... a certainty that if I reached out to it, that I could take that power for myself. Which, I suppose in a way is true... but when it flowed through me, I felt like... have you heard the term, the call of the void? It felt like that to me. That if I absorbed too much of that power at once, I would be throwing myself into the storm, and I... would not be any more, I do not think."
The concept made her skin crawl, and Carnotite crossed her arms loosely. She wasn't cold, but a chill of sorts did run through her. "But I feel fine right now, I assure you. The amount of energy I absorbed with that strike wasn't enough to tip the scale, so to speak, but I believe if I had tried to take in any more, it... would not end well."
