The mirrors were still weird, as were the wraiths, but she hadn't seen anything as weird as she had the first time. She still couldn't make heads or tails of things even after talking with Remarque, and given she only knew of one alien, she fiddled with the card she'd had tucked into the back of her phone case since the museum space thing had happened with the weirdo bugs.

She wasn't sure exactly how it worked so she figured the best place to try would be the hill she'd first seen him on a few years back. Her camera hung from her neck but she'd also gotten the photos off it and printed so she could see them a bit bigger. It didn't help her much but she figured it would be easier to see on paper than on the little preview window of her camera. That, and she wasn't sure if the man knew exactly how this one worked. He'd mentioned something about cameras back then, but with how weird things were, she figured they were less mundane, and there might be a disconnect on knowledge.

Holding the card in her hands, she stood up on the hill and scrunched her face up as she thought about things. "Uh... 1-Alm-adel? Or uhh Alamdel I summon you?" She wasn't sure about any of it but it was worth a try as she stood there awkwardly and waited.

“Oh, please,” Almadel sighed from behind her. He’d appeared almost immediately and was brushing what looked like microglitter off of his suit. “As much as I’d love to let you cash in that card right now, I find I’m a bit pressed with my obligations so might be a bit spread thin. I was in the area though, so I figured I might as well stop by. I haven’t seen much of the Dark Mirror, recently! Good to see you still around. Save that,” he nodded to the card, “For a rainy day. Well.”

Purple clouds hung low in the sky, illuminated by angry, silent lightning.

“A rainier day, I suppose.”

Not that it ever seemed to rain during these odd storms. At least there wasn’t lightning tonight.

“You were thinking about me, hm? Only good things, I hope. What were you hoping to cash that card in for?”

Jumping slightly as she heard a sigh behind her, she turned and saw Almadel. Was that... glitter? Blinking for a moment, she then nodded and tucked the card back away into her subspace.

"O-oh I uh... well..." Stuttering for a moment because she still thought they were kind of cute, something Malory had brought up when she'd showed him the photos she'd snapped with her cellphone last summer. Fiddling with things a bit clumsily as she pulled the photos out that she'd developed in the darkroom at DCU, she held them for a moment as she wondered if she should just get to the point or answer his question first.

It was probably better to answer first then get back to her worries. "Well... I wanted to maybe get to see your museum minus the bugs. I remember you saying you could bring me to space when ya gave me the doll a few years back. But tonight I'm kind worried about some weird space things and hoped maybe you might know something? I'm really new to all this stuff still and I really want to know what's goin on out there in the stars."

“Ahhh, yes. I should have guessed. Everyone’s buzzing about,” he gestured to the sky vaguely, “all this. I don’t blame you, of course. It makes my skin crawl. Almost as bad as the kosopods! Probably a little worse, actually. But that’s neither here nor there. I don’t have enough time to tell you ‘what’s going on out there in the stars,’ they’re all a mess. Well, no,” he corrected.

He exhaled heavily but composed himself quickly and smiled, as if that might be a bit more reassuring.

“They’re not all a mess. These storms are really getting on my nerves, though. I feel like I can’t go anywhere. I feel like I’ve been to my museum and Earth and that’s it. I’m going stir crazy but I don’t want to wind up in the wrong place at the wrong time. If I wound up stuck in one of these storms? Oh, no. No, no, no. No good for me. These storms are popping up erratically–here, there. Have you seen any in Mirrorspace?”
