There seemed to be little he could glean from knights and senshi, he'd been trying, most just knew there were storms up in space just like on Earth if not worse. But anything further, anything about the serpent itself, was just impossible to come by. He knew he should find out more about the spikes, find out where they'd been made, if they could be replicated just incase this ever happened again. But he didn't like not knowing the enemy and what it could do, the unknown bothered him, so he wasn't really seeking out senshi and knights for answers tonight. He was wandering though, his hands in his pockets, as he moved down the sidewalk. It was past midnight, he'd only left his home a short while ago, Rene was sleeping peacefully and he'd left a note incase he woke up. He just needed to clear his head, which was true, he'd been nervous and almost on edge this whole time. It was Rene who kept him calm, kept him from pacing too much, but nothing was happening!

This felt like the calm before the storm but the calm was stalled...was hanging over them and he was on edge as he knew the storm would hit. It was just a matter of when and how bad, what it entailed, and the he didn't like how it was causing him to feel. Worst was he couldn't even fight anyone...he needed to vent somehow, he was considering options, a walk was his first attempt to calm himself. Perhaps if he tired himself out he could sleep peacefully tonight, he'd worry about tomorrow and tomorrow night when they came.

Walking as he was the blond wasn't even focusing on signatures around him, though he did idly note there was one not too far off, he chose to ignore it for now. Too much on his mind as he tried to calm the mounting worry he was dealing with. He needed to keep calm, needed to be remain in control, and he had been doing well at it. Rene had been helping him focus, giving him plenty to do, but it only helped so much when so much hung over all their heads. If he could he'd bundle his whole damn family up and send them all off to space...but alas he could not, nor would he really. If it hit here, if it won, it would eventually find them anyway.

This was not something he'd ever figured would happen...and he hoped nothing like it ever would again, assuming they survived this of course. If they did, which he hoped they would, he would treat Almadel to dinner as a thank you...and an apology for bothering the merchant as much as he likely had. Sighing he tippe dhis head up towards the night sky. Something deadly lurked out there...somewhere. And yet the night sky looked so damn innocent...so vast and alluring. There was so much out there.

While the storm seemed to have calmed slightly on Earth, Spasskaya wasn't really focused on things down here. It was a blessing in disguise and for whatever reason this storm bullshit was giving her a bit more oomph to get back up to her wonder.

Now that it seemed to be ticking again, that meant she could try and look around more with the main issue seemingly solved. Whatever was going on outside her little bubble didn't really matter in her opinion. Something about her wonder felt more important when it boiled down to it, it was a quiet place away from this shitty city and her even shittier ex.

With her bag of tools and supplies slung over her shoulder, she was nearly ready to head out until she felt a very big and very not great signature nearby. Reaching to rub at her signet ring, she had a bad feeling about things as she turned and saw a smaller blonde male walking.

With her staff in hand, she held it tightly and called out. "Stay put, don't come any closer."
It was worth a shot, at least now she had a bit of range with her staff to hit someone but right now she didn't really have back up since she hadn't let Aaru or Halicarnassus know she was heading out.

Oh how amusing...a nlittle bity knight with a staff pointed at him. Normally he'd have attacked a knight for drawing their weapon on him like this, especially one lower in rank, and shown them their place. But he was on orders to play nice with order and so he would, that however did not mean he needed manners. "You might want to put that away, it's unwise to pull a weapon when you're out classed." Rolling his eyes as he spoke calmly, one hand finding it's way to his hip as he stood a few feet away from her. "Unless of course you're looking to die, than pick another night to pull a weapon on me." Because tonight wasn't that night, nor was any night till the issues were dealt with, but she didn't need to know that.

Stepping closer, casual and unbothered really, a gloved hand moved to touch the end of her weapon and move it out of his way. "Honestly, such toys you knights get handed. It's a shame really. Now then, I have a simple question...it's a yes or no question. Are there nasty storms at your wonder? Anything unusual?"

Looking at him coldly, she simply tightened her grip on the staff even as he went to move it out of the way. Taping the ground with the other end, she knew a few seconds of time would help her get out of the way if needed but she also knew these assholes of chaos could teleport.

The question he asked had her pause, though, and she gave him an odd look. "Yes? But I would say it was a welcome occurrence." Why was there an interest in weird weather, though? She narrowed her eyes at him and took a step back. "Why so curious about a bit of odd weather?"

"It seems everyone is being affected by this beast that's coming. So far I've not run into a senshi, or knight, without the weather being affected." Tapping his cheek lightly he tilted his head and flashed her a bit of a smile.

"Space apparently is full of monsters...and one is coming for us. This weather is a result of it." And yet everyone seemed to be experiencing such weather. How far did it's reach go exactly? Was there any senshi who had a planet unaffected? If so..how far away from Earth was it? "You might want to prepare yourself, a fight is looming and it'll take all of us, no matter what side we're on, to handle this creature." Or they might all lose, and he very much was not interested in that outcome. It simply wasn't allowed, nervous as he was over things, because he had a life he wished to continue living and he had a family to keep safe. There was no allowing this creature to win.

"Beast?" Asking flatly, she hadn't heard much about that, but it didn't really involve her or her wonder outside of the weather, so she couldn't be bothered.

"Well, I guess I should get going then. I have things to repair, and apparently, I need to make sure it can weather this storm." With a huff, she went to take a step back, not confident about turning her back on this blonde but not really interested in talking more.

While she was still sure her wonder wasn't a permanent place she could stay, she liked her odds there more than she did sticking around this city. It wasn't a place she'd been long, and honestly, she was more inclined to keep looking into that clocktower of hers.

"Yes, beast, a serpent tp be precise. It destroys words - kills them. It's headed here...and I doubt it'll stop here." Not when there were how many planets and even a star, if it could consume a star, right here for the taking all in one small system. "You might weather this storm but you, and your wonder, won't weather this beast.

"Run along little knight...but know that you should help, every person will be needed. I've no doubt about it..." And she would be needed because their fate, all of them, would be the same as hers. Even if she was in space, at her wonder, when it struck she'd be next...at some point. It would just be a matter of time.

"Also, consider yourself lucky. We're on orders to play nice right now, because the situation is that sever." Which should be rather telling to any who knew how the Negaverse was with order.

It sounded wild, delusional, if you asked her. And that was the look she gave him as he went on about it.

Tapping her staff to the ground, she channeled her magic for a moment and looked at him. Well if he had to play nice, that was on him, not on her, and she was at least going to take a pot shot at him while his time would be slowed. She didn't hesitate to reach out with her staff and smash it into his side. It wasn't with as much force as she'd like, but it was enough, and she pulled back quickly and took one more step away from him.

"I don't quite like how you're talking down to me. Seems like you're the one who has nowhere to go if that little creature thing of yours decides to gobble up this planet. Order has options, some better than others. What do you have? Some little monsters of your own and this planet." Speaking down to the short blonde, she wouldn't stick around much longer but she was curious what sort of comeback he'd have.

Channeling her staff, a glowing clockface surrounds her and enemies in the area feel as if their view of time has been slowed and that actions they want to do take a lot more time. Time itself is moving normally for everyone around them it is just their viewpoint of things. When the magic pool runs out, or an enemy makes it outside of the area of effect, they may feel a bit disjointed as things are back to normal but no harm comes to them.

Moving to avoid the hit he failed, he was moving slower than he was expecting, or maybe it was the staff which was moving slower? Either way he did feel it hit into him and it sent him stumbling back. So he was supposed to play nice with order, he'd been told as much by his queen, but surely she wouldn't have an issue wioth him striking back when some knight decided to smack him? Self deffence wasn't an issue, right? Though you could claim that he'd earned it for having an attitude, he really wasn't out to be as friendly and nice as he could be here, but he should hit her back - right?

For a moment the idea did cross his mind, wanting to lash out and strike her, but he hoped he could simply scare her enough to not try and hit him again. So rather than attack her he summoned his weapon into his hand. Bladed, unlike her staff, his was meant to draw blood and not just smack someone with. Giving it a swing, testing this whole reduced speed thing she had going on, he made sure he didn't hit her but he was hoping to play it close.

"Talking down to you? Clearly you're new and lower in rank. If you had any amount of time under your belt you'd know that what I'm saying isn't unexpected, not in this city, and you'd not be acting as though I've lost the plot." Rolling his eyes as he spoke. Really, the fact she didn't believe him was what gave her away as new. Anyone who spent even a short amount of time in this city, powered up, knew what sorts of things happened - even Rene. "Order has fewer options than you think. It can't sustain life and what can is limited. We're all at risk here." Or damn near everyone, including her.

"Go to your wonder, do as you want, but you should be prepared for what's coming."
