Theme: Tarot Card

Comments: I have been playing a lot of games lately and the different styles of tarot cards I have seen across them inspired me to do this one. I originally intended for this to be "The Empress" but it may also be considered "Queen of Swords"

Comments: I was so convinced that Ariel's top was blue and not purple that I went on a deep dive for an hour to see if it was ever blue. Nope, but she did wear a blue dress. I did leave the movie on in the background while doing this and it was a lot of fun. I have been on a chibi kick lately and thought Ariel would be fun to do.

Theme: Medium Challenge: Ink
Time spent: 1.5 hours for drawing, 30 minutes grinding ink

Comments: I forgot how long and tedious grinding ink is. I have forgotten how to do wings, it has been far too long since the last time I picked up a brush. I failed to get the right consistency as it did spread on the rice paper. I still had a lot of fun getting back into this and did some calligraphy practice, which is not pictured here because they were bad. To keep my privacy, I did a drawn hanko suitable for this account (猫 , neko).

Comments: I've attempted this before and it took forever. Why I decided to do her a second time I have no idea. Her style is so pleasing to look at. I have been swamped with work the last few days and this was honestly pretty relaxing and a good way to wind down. I only did the lineart and am saving the coloring for another challenge/makeup day. If anyone wants the full res lineart for anything hit me up (´｡• ᵕ •｡`) ♡

Comments: I very rarely do actual pixel art anymore but when I do I try to learn something new. This time was water! It was a lot of fun but I ran out of time so a lot of it is mixing texture and coloring. I'm still late, but I had fun and will put this on the list of ones to finish on a later day.

I really enjoy doing anime screenshot style art but I don't get to do it often because I generally don't get inspired or asked to. I suck at drawing lips and armor so I focused on one of those things today. I'm happy with the result even if it was wrong.

Theme: Pick a previous unused theme (see below, Day 42: Baldur's Gate)

Comments: I have reading issues lately. On the website I went to "all themes" to see all of the themes not realizing that it had themes from the previous year there too. I went to the bottom and scrolled up until I saw a theme I liked which in this case was Baldur's Gate. (Day 42) Unfortunately, I did not double check the date on the theme until I was done and came here to submit. I lack the time to do another, so I am still submitting this.

My failings aside, this is Astarion! A friend recommended a new brush to me and I am obsessed. It's such a fun brush to use and it will now become my go-to brush for sketchy things like this. Today I messed around with mouth poses and hair/eyebrows. I had a lot of fun with this one and learned a lot. I resisted temptation to draw a hand in this one. ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧
