It had been some time since Spei had gone on patrol, and frankly he was rather out of the habit. Mind, he'd been spending some time at his Wonder on the Moon, keeping the place tidy and the plants looked after and visiting with his Code Piece, but as far as helping keep Destiny City safe by beating up Chaos entities, he was just too busy. Between DJ gigs and exploring his civilian life in the past with his present-day boyfriend Holland (or more to the point, Super Senshi Gault), he'd rarely had time to power up any more. It was only the pull of his Wonder, of the Code Piece hidden there, that gave him the impetus to power up at all. This evening, though, he decided it was time for a little walk. Everything seemed to happen in and around the large park in the center of the city, so that was where he went. Cape flowing behind him, he leapt across the rooftops toward the park, keeping his awareness open to any auras he might feel along the way. Luckily it seemed to be a quiet evening. Maybe everyone was busy somewhere else. He let himself drop to the ground once at the park and scanned around for anything nearby. There were a few aura signatures, both Order and Chaos, but none close enough to be concerned over. With a shrug he set off on foot toward the far end of the park, near where the nice older part of town was, not too far from the Main Library. Lovely old houses, quiet neighborhood. Thinking as he walked, Spei recalled an encounter he'd had not too far from here with a fellow Knight named Camelot -- a Royal Knight, the first one he'd ever encountered. Seemed a nice fellow, hadn't even made him bow or call him Sir or anything. A small smile crept across his face; maybe he'd run into Camelot again. He rather hoped he would.

The Royal Knight of Earth needed distraction. It was patrol, or getting drunk in the silence of his empty house. This seemed the better option. At the very least, the better option for his liver. Unless someone with very good aim and a sharp weapon attacked him.
Then it was a no win situation from the start.
He was walking slowly, almost dragging his feet. Though things were strange and he was learning more and more about what was different since his return to Destiny City. He had not felt like he was making any kind of a difference yet. Or even knew where to start in order to try. Words were one thing, but it was action that would truly set his path into motion.
So, as tempting as it was to curl into a corner, as drunk as possible, with Hadaya purring away, he had to keep trying. Keep moving.
He felt another aura and sighed, relieved and disappointed at once. It was friendly, which meant there would not be a fight. Probably. But it was also friendly, which meant there would not be a fight. Probably. He was not sure why he was unsure what side of the fence to side on. Was he really looking to hurt someone? Or was talking what he really needed? Friendship? Antagonism?
He would have to see, he supposed. Either way, he moved toward the aura. He was powered up fully, so he was sure his aura had already been detected by the source he was now following. He was honestly relieved to see a face he actually recognized as he drew close. He waved.
"Ah, Spei! It's been a minute, hmm?"

Spei felt the powerful Order aura long before he reached the other end of the park, and he knew that his hopes had been fulfilled. Picking up his pace, he headed in that direction, still scanning for Chaos auras just in case the Royal Knight's energy signature was too attractive to pass up. As Camelot came into view, Spei returned his wave. "Camelot. Yeah, it's been a while." He strode up to the other man and stopped, pleased that his Knight's cape swirled around his ankles dramatically. Tipping his cream-colored top hat at Camelot, he raised an eyebrow and allowed a tiny little smirk to show. "A couple of things have changed," he deadpanned, "for the better, I think." There was something a little... off about the Royal Knight. Something melancholic. Concerned, Spei nevertheless decided not to pry, but to do something about it, hopefully. "Actually, I was just going to head up to my Wonder for a bit. Would you be interested in coming along? I don't get to show anyone around the place very often."

Camelot perked up a bit at that, nodding his head.
"If you don't mind dragging me along, I would be very interested. I have not visited a wonder outside of those on Earth, and connected to my own, in some time. Hell, I haven't even gone back to Camelot for too long. I hope Kilgharrah isn't upset with me."
He looked thoughtful for a moment, wondering about the dragon that stayed on his wonder. Of course, he could just summon the beast, but that was in dire situations only. He did not want to give the dragon the wrong impression, or have him attack poor Spei for no reason.
Dragons tended to be 'attack first, ask questions later'. When they were capable of asking themselves anything, anyway.
It would be a good distraction from how miserable he was letting himself be. Not that he lacked good reason, considering, but he knew he was duty bound to be more available. More helpful. An upbeat attitude was part of that, and he was busy wallowing in his own complicated emotions. There was no helping others that way, he chided himself. He had to drag himself, kicking and screaming if he had to, out of this dark hole.
But just thinking it did not make it as easy as he would have liked.

"It wouldn't be a bother at all," Spei said, tilting his head slightly. "I wouldn't have invited you otherwise." Taking Camelot's hand, he focused on his Wonder, mentally reciting the mantra to take them there. A slight whooshing sensation followed, and in an instant the Moon Knight and the Royal Knight were standing on the shore of a mirror-like lake, the ornate white structure of Spei's Wonder next to them. Spei released Camelot and breathed a soft sigh. "Well, here we are. I need to work on the gardens outside here some -- they're getting a little overgrown. It's just been so busy back on Earth, I mean powered down civilian busy. I don't get up here as often as I should." He didn't want to admit that he didn't power up as often as he should. Not to Camelot, whom he felt somewhat beholden to, seeing as he was a Royal Knight and all. "Shall we go inside? It should still be in some semblance of order..."
