Something was still up, it was plain as can be as she stepped out of another mirror with much difficulty. This time she carefully dipped out from behind the fire escape where the mirror had been hidden and made her way the few blocks to the overlook.

With a view of much of the city, it gave the opportunity to see more of what was going on, and more of the storm as it rippled across the sky. It was, in fact, very weird, but in a way that looked pretty from a distance.

Out of habit she pulled her camera to take photos, capturing the crackling pattern of lightning against the dark clouds. Something wasn't right, Rem had let her know that much, but she wasn't sure how much she wanted to play a part in this.

She still needed some more photos for her project and DCU was running as normal, people weren't stopping their daily lives with whatever weirdness was going on. More and more she wondered if it bothered her so much because she wasn't raised here, she hadn't gotten to grow up and just deal with it like some others did.

Watching another crackle, she brought her camera up to take a few more photos as she thought she felt someone approaching.

The storm had done nothing to put a stop to the insistent voices in the back of Sailor Tempesti’s mind, needling her with constant reminders of her inadequacy as a senshi every time she considered a break. If she couldn’t be truly useful in combat she would have to find some other way to prove that she deserved this chance.

She could rest when she was dead.
After all, death was apparently at least a semi-regular occurrence for her. But there wasn’t time to deal with that and its implications right now.

Too much to do.

The weather was doing everything it could to prove that it was apocalyptic and documenting that was something she could do. Tempesti lacked access to the more important sources that everyone else seemed to have, so all that was left was to do what she could. In the embarrassingly tiny, confined space this situation allowed her.

The notebook she’d taken to carrying with her was half full of her observations, each carefully labeled with the time and date. And, the voice reminded her, each was a woefully useless nothing not worth uploading to the database. She continued to contribute what photos she could in the hopes that someone else would find some clue or pattern her untrained eye had missed.

Tempesti felt a twinge of concern at the presence of another woman out in this mess before realizing it was another senshi. Based on her appearance, her uniform lined up with descriptions she’d heard of Dark Mirror Senshi. Hopefully this was one of their number who wasn’t immediately hostile to Order.

So they weren't going away, but also she hadn't had some magic or anything thrown at her so that was okay too. She preferred the knights, at least that's what she thought they were called anyway.

Turning to look down the hill, she could make out a white colored outfit so it was a senshi she figured. "Sup? This storm stuff is really weird ya? Oh, and like don't worry about like me not being one of ya. I don't like... do that fighting thing unless youma are attacking my classmates. Heckin' rude things they are."

Looking down at her camera, she checked the photos she'd taken so far. The pattern wasn't quite like normal lightning, that she knew from all the other times she took pictures under an umbrella during a storm. But so far, there wasn't a lot she knew but she already didn't like any of it so far.

"Ya alright though? I think I heard like weird stuff is happenin' all over."

When the other senshi spoke, Tempesti released a soft exhale she didn’t realize she’d been holding. With everything else going on, it was a relief that she shared her disinterest in fighting. She wasn’t entirely clear what exactly Dark Mirror Senshi wanted, but she hoped that the fact that she had heard less about them than their Negaverse counterparts meant that this could be a pleasant conversation. As pleasant as it could be during a supernatural death storm anyway. Approaching cautiously so as not to appear hostile she gave a slight wave.

“Er, hello! I would definitely categorize this as weird,” she wondered how much the Dark Mirror Court knew about the whole world devouring serpent aspect of this situation. She doubted that information sharing between the factions was on the table, but given the nature of the threat she didn’t see why it shouldn’t be, at least until this passed. Even so, given that her own allies had no clear leadership hierarchy she had no idea how they would even start to broker an arrangement like that.

“I’m not about to start a fight. It’s not exactly something I enjoy. I mean. Self-defense is one thing but it looks like we both came out here for the same reason.” She gestured at her notebook. “I’m alright. I did get struck by lightning the other day but that wasn’t as bad as I would have expected. Are you alright?”
It wasn’t quite run of the mill weather based small talk, but these weren’t exactly run of the mill circumstances.

Well, that was a relief, though she was pretty sure making them dizzy would have worked just fine at stopping a fight if it had started. She'd rather not either way though.

"Ya like I dunno what's up with it, I saw some weird like eldritch horror stuff and it was mid-tier at best." With the photos pulled up, she still hadn't really liked it but whatever it was it wasn't anywhere close.

The mention of being struck by lightning really caught her attention though. "Oh what?! How is getting struck by lightnin' not a bad time? Like I feel like I heard people get hospitalized for stuff like that with all the weird scars and stuff from the electricity right?" But from what she could tell they looked fine, at least they were walking around and talking.

"Nothing wrong with me, just some weird like wraiths but if we're being honest they're always a bit weird?" It wasn't really something she was a fan of but at least she didn't have to do a lot other than make sure she helped out if mirror stuff had a tantrum.

“Yeah, it was…weird. I wouldn’t exactly call it a good time, I definitely figured I’d be down for longer than I was. I even got a cat to the vet right after. I was a mess, but we got out of there.” She pondered again on how much information was too much to share. No one seemed to think that any Chaos faction was responsible for these storms, so a few small details couldn’t hurt. “It did leave a mark where it . Nothing permanent, but it looked like a snake.”

“Wraiths” weren’t something she’d heard of, in this context anyway, but these things were becoming less surprising by the day. “I don’t think I’ve seen any wraiths. I don’t know what they look like though, so I guess I could have.”

That got her startled. "Oh no! Was the lil fella okay?" She'd taken care of animals on the farm before, even though it was mostly her parents' job so she always felt bad when one got hurt or fell ill.

The mention of it looking like a snake had her confused and she offered her camera over for them to look at. "I didn't see a snake or anythin' like one, but yea. Some weirdo stuff if you wanna look? Got a few pictures before the mirror decided to not be a mirror anymore."

"Oh uh... wraiths are sort of a mirror thing? But they're not like bitey like youma so just kinda ghosty things that just do the thing?" She didn't want to pull her wraiths out right now after how weird the ones in mirror space had been acting, even if Remarque had said they'd be safe.

Tempesti couldn’t help the slight lowering of her guard at the Dark Mirror Senshi’s concern for Reginald. Luckily for him she’d left him curled up in his plush, brand new bed, blissfully unconcerned by whatever might be happening outside. “He’s fine, you don’t need to worry about him.” He might argue otherwise given that there was no one around to give him treats should he demand them. “The vet cleaned him right up and I took him home so I don’t think he has any complaints about being out of the storm. I named him Reginald.”

Reminders of the snake snapped her away from the safety of cat related musings as she leaned over to see Hela’s photos, she knew almost nothing of whatever went on with the Dark Mirror senshi so she couldn’t speculate on what she saw, but it only seemed fair to offer information for information. Opting to bite back the intense curiosity she felt about the wraiths, she decided not to press the issue.

“It was bizarre, and kind of terrifying.”
The admission was a bit embarrassing, but there was no point in withholding the truth about that. Focusing again on her own phone, she flipped through the dozens of photos to find the intruder burned into the skin of her forearm. It had been far beyond a relief when it vanished after the course of a few hours, but she still found herself glancing at the spot it so briefly occupied to reassure herself that it wasn’t coming back.

Hearing the cat was named Reginald brought a smile to Hela's face as she laughed. "Oh, that's a fancy name for a cat. I bet he's happy as can be for being home."

Pulling her camera back, she popped the camera lens cap back on before tucking it away into subspace. "I don't like any of it if we're bein' real." Looking back up at the sky as another crack of lightning crossed the clouds, she shook her head.

"I think it might be best to keep inside if we can. It hasn't really rained, but I don't wanna be out in it if I can avoid it yeah? If ya see anythin' else there's this vendin machine place without cameras and stuff. Leave a note on the top of the machine with the redbull from every country, and I can like check it yea?"

A pleased smile spread across Tempesti’s face at Hela’s response. “He’s very spoiled so I hope he’s happy.”

The storm wasn’t exactly her favorite thing in the world either so she couldn’t fault the Dark Mirror Senshi for wanting to take a cautious approach. It was probably a more practical approach than her own penchant for running around trying to document the entire mess. Unpleasant as the lightning was, the strike wasn’t fatal. Not that she was exactly eager to repeat the experience, but as long as it wasn’t going to kill her there was no reason she shouldn’t keep contributing what she could.

“Alright, I will, stay safe out there! She gave Hela a quick wave before heading off to finish her patrol.
