OHHH YEAH!
Farrah is enjoying a peaceful time urban exploring and making sketches if her findings. Next thing she knows, Stefano is there making a big entrance!

She sighed audibly and focused her gaze on the dirty corridor ahead of her. Farrah’s nose wrinkled with mild disgust at the smell of mildew that seemed to only get stronger as she stepped off the staircase and further onto the first floor. She knew it likely wasn’t good for her to be inhaling whatever was in the air but found comfort in knowing her blood’s healing properties would keep her from getting sick. The multi-story building was one of a handful she discovered to be abandoned and had it not been for the combination of overgrown garden beds and a couple of broken windows, Farrah would have overlooked it completely. The bronze plaque by the front door read:

𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔸𝕘𝕒𝕥𝕙𝕒 𝕋𝕣𝕦𝕟𝕔𝕙𝕓𝕦𝕝𝕝 ℂ𝕙𝕚𝕝𝕕𝕣𝕖𝕟'𝕤 𝔸𝕤𝕪𝕝𝕦𝕞.

The date it was established was lost to time and not even she with all of her ability to toy with metal could make it share its secrets. The inside was a different story. Broken light fixtures, cracked plaster walls with paint that was curling, flaking, and peeling off. Some of the windows were boarded up from the inside and only allowed the setting sunlight to slip through the holes and cracks. A lot of the buildings she slipped into for sport bore a lot of the same details of abandon and decay. What made them special was often the items that were left behind. Schools had child-sized desks and chairs with faded and bug-eaten alphabet banners, while broken beds could be found piled up and strewn across orphanage floors. Farrah peered into one room of the building and saw a small, stained gurney surrounded by piles of paper that lightly vibrated to an unknown source of blowing air. She grimaced when she realized what it was and quickly walked past it to another part of the floor.

The open common area was cleaner and slightly more welcoming with some chairs that were still upright and in one piece. It was in that room Farrah saw just the kind of thing she wanted to sketch: lines of an ivy plant that crawled up the wall from a cluster in the corner. There was something about the way the wild plant was stretching toward a window that bounced light off the same area of wall it was on. With most of her exploring behind her, she found a chair and took a seat. It wasn’t long before a pencil was dragging across the paper in a thick sketchbook. What started to come to life was the vine with its thick base and heart shaped leaves leaning every which way. The quiet bothered her a little but so long as she continued to have control of her body she could handle it like the champ that she was.

Professor Langali’s big history lesson continued to be a buzz across the campus even if it were days later. The Nerdbird and the Redhead came to mind and Farrah had to wonder about what happened after. She didn’t stick around to see if they kissed and made up or not. Though kind of funny now, she was not amused at the time. Her reaction was quite the emotional one, even for her. She could recall how the male struggled while begging for help.

There was a momentary pause in the shading of the ivy plant’s base. She thought she heard something, perhaps footsteps. Up until that point, she knew she had been alone. Farrah turned her head to look around but was unsure of where that sound came from.

                                                  "Speech" 'Thoughts'
The past few days had been crazy since history class! Stefano was glad he wasn’t the only one that had been stabbed during the experience but also how crazy was it that there was more than one person stabbed? Most students were pretty riled up by the experience but Stefano realized that this was an opportunity for some of them to wake up and smell the roses. Himself included, he had started getting soft. Being so easily manipulated by someone outside his crew? It couldn’t happen again.

So, to help prevent it from ever happening again, he started training each day. There weren’t many spaces for him to practice combat outside of class, but the duke tried to stay out of the way and work out in places that were abandoned. This also helped his fear of upsetting the janitor even more by accidentally destroying something important again.

Today’s area of choosing was some random building that looked rather run down, so Stefano hoped that if he lost control Mr. Janitor would be none the wiser. The workout started with him just running small sprints and doing an insane number of push-ups. But would any of this matter if he couldn’t handle himself when being sirened? There had to be some way for him to train outside of wearing earplugs every moment. How else was he supposed to hear the Bonnies’ voices? Or Bonnie Blue Eye’s brother, for that matter?

' I wonder if I can go so fast that I can no longer hear anything?' Normally, his thoughts were useless, but this one had some weight behind it! He had to at least try it, right? He threw off his shirt and started to inflate, his body swelling with each second. Getting a running start, he could feel his ankle almost reaching its full capacity, as it gave out almost immediately as he started rolling down towards the building.

' Oh no.' He thought to himself before letting out a small scream. It was always easy to start rolling, but once he was started, it was difficult unless he hit something. He had made it a good two weeks not damaging any property at Utopia but unless he wanted to hit a tree, the scary building had to go. Closing his eyes, he braced himself for the impact and rolled into one of the walls, breaking through it.

Thankfully, there had to be no one else here. He was sure he had checked before training here. He dusted the dirt, wall dust, and brick from his clothes and started to let himself deflate as he walked around. Stefano hadn’t seen this room before his workout, so he started to panic. He hadn’t squashed anyone, but there was a chance he could have! The duke knew he had to go and check the rest of this building and apologize in case he might have injured them. As he made his way down the hallway, he discovered he was, in fact, not alone; there was a soft-faced beauty passionately drawing something.

Stefano wanted to know what. But how was he to approach her without it seemingly like he had followed her here? This place was unknown to most so the chances of both of them being here at the same time had to be fate, but would she see it that way? " I apologize for the noise, I just like to make an entrance," He remarked, looking back at the rumble behind him before looking back at the beauty before him and bowing, " Stefano Gonzales," An uncomfortable laugh escaped his lips as he thought about how to navigate through this conversation.

Farrah lifted her head and stared intently ahead of her. She was not looking at anything, but instead listening. Brows knitted together to the sound of destruction in a space nearby hers. ’There was no demolition crew outside…’ If she remembered correctly, there weren’t many people loitering about in this part of town when she came around. She relaxed her upper body once the residual sounds died down, and she wondered if that was her queue to leave. Red eyes looked about the room as she tried to find any kind of change in the structure after that large crash. If the floor beneath her went out, it would be the second time in a month she fell through an upper story floor, nevermind that the first time was a hallucination. The last time she was lucky to have a squishy, asthmatic bone bag to break her fall. ’Poor bone bag.’

She made the decision to leave but only after she found a good stopping point. It was already a bit of a gamble coming into an abandoned, decrepit place like this but the red-eyed princess wasn’t as worried as she should have been. Her two year disappearance created some kinks in her yarn ball of a brain, but it also gave her some hard-won confidence in her abilities to care for herself. She fleshed out the shape of the boarded up window to one side of her sketchbook, making sure to at least reference the things about it she wanted to emphasize when she got home to finish it. The rest she would pull from memory.

"I apologize for the noise, I just like to make an entrance". Farrah’s upper body tensed up and like a feline the hair on the back of her neck stood on end. She wasn’t as alone as she thought she was in there. Her head turned with clicky movements to see who spoke to her. The man was tall and blonde with a face that had her squinting. She recognized him as one of her classmates in history class. ’That’s the guy who sits by the door…’ She put her pencil down beside her sketchbook and turned around to face him, which allowed her to get a better view of the rubble that was behind him. A wall had been there but now there was a gaping hole in its place. Eyes fixed back on to him in disbelief. He did that? ”Stefano Gonzales.” He announced.

After a moment of observing him she stood from her spot and approached, her body having already started to relax from the initial scare. She offered her hand to Stefano for a shake and leaned her head to one side. He was shirtless and she only noticed upon moving closer to him. It was a fact she was more concerned about than him being there in the first place. ”Farrah Willahalm.” She introduced herself and made a light smile in his direction. The initial tension left her body.

She was standing in an abandoned building with a man laughing in the face of safety with his shirtless body, who had indirectly confessed to blowing a hole into the wall… in some way. This would not do. Farrah went back to grab her book, then walked back to Stefano and took ahold of his hand with her free one. ”We need to go before someone comes in and thinks we did that.” She didn’t know about Stefano, but she had a feeling Xena would have chosen elder-sisterly words for her if she found out she was involved, even if temporarily. With a tug of his hand she started for the stairs that went down and to the side entrance she had used to get in there earlier. With luck, they could escape the building without being noticed.

Farrah. So that was the name of this absolute ten. Getting a closer look, he recognized her from class, but she mainly kept to herself. Similar to the Bonnie Blue Eyes. At least it wasn’t another Bonnie for him to come up with a clever nickname for. This had been the first Farrah his eyes had ever had the pleasure of laying eyes on, and for that, he was grateful. Despite the potential concussion from crashing into the wall, he was pretty sure the hearts he seeing surrounding the woman were real.

Thankfully, those hearts complemented the redness in her eyes. Stefano had never seen anything like them. They were absolutely breathtaking to behold, and he couldn’t wait to get to know her better. His crash was a blessing in disguise! " Pretty eyes," He garbled as he thought about what she might have been sketching before his arrival. Hopefully not a fiancé, but given how many arranged marriages there were, he could never take the chance. Stefano debated whether or not it was best to retract his hand, worried she might be afraid of his germs, remembering not everyone was as eager to make contact as he was.

Right as he braced himself for the rejection, however, she took his hand in hers. Oh, they were unbelievably soft! She was fairly tall, too, which was a fun change! She was already taking control of the situation, starting to pull him along with mentions of them not wanting to be accused of breaking the wall. But Stefano had already admitted to doing so, had she not heard him? It was kind of her to try and have him avoid getting in trouble, but this wasn’t something foreign to him.

Pulling the girl back, causing the two to halt, " Just wait. I made that hole. It wouldn’t be fair if I ran away from it, so irresponsible." He pointed to the crater-sized hole down the hallway, " Maybe there’s a way to fix it. I’d hate to make such a terrible impression in front of a beautiful maiden." That was right. Stefano was here to make a name for himself. What kind of person would he be if he so callously left something worse than when he entered? Even if his entrance was the root cause of his demolition.

Repairs weren’t exactly his strong suit. But there had to be something he could do. Maybe this Farrah lady could help! It would be like a first date. How romantic. " So, how do you feel about slugging concrete for a first date? We can keep holding hands if you’d like."His eyes mooned over to the girl awaiting her response. Whatever she decided, he would respect it, given that it wasn’t she who had made the mess. Although he would much prefer if she didn’t let his hand go just yet.

Farrah thought she heard something about her eyes coming off of the blonde’s lips but didn’t get the rest of it, if there was anything there. They were a trait of her mother’s, or so she was told. With the discovery that her blood had healing properties she was previously unaware of, she liked to think that had something to do with their coloring too. Looking at Stefano, he didn’t look bothered if he heard him right.

She had started to walk but when the man pulled her back she bounced backward on her feet and nearer to him. Farrah’s eyes flicked to the wall he was speaking of, then back and up to his face. There was no denying he had a cute one with an oval shape and brightly colored eyes. He spoke of wanting to fix it but before she could ask him how he intended to do that, he referred to her as beautiful. Her lips twitched into a small smile at the complement. It wasn’t one she was used to getting but still nice to hear every once in a while. ”You haven’t made a terrible one so far.” Farrah didn’t know what to make of Stefano quite yet. As much as is was conflicting to see the wall broken, it wasn’t an unfamiliar sight. Sethos had a penchant for making holes in walls if not completely destroying them.

’That was definitely a flirt. A first date…’ She did not imagine him asking that and she frozen momentarily. She was more oblivious than she liked to be in these matters but he came right out with his request. And she had forgotten they were holding hands! Farrah looked down at them. Yep, there they were, her smaller hand in his. She had originally taken Stefano’s to lead him out of there but he had another idea. Or more that culminated in this one. Farrah’s cheeks took on a tinge of pink. Her lips parted as she worked past the initial shock of it all to process it all. Farrah blinked gently back up at him.

”Slugging concrete?” It felt like an unusual activity for a date, but at the same time sounded like a better time than the things she thought were considered usual. Continuing her training routine even while at Utopia allowed for more than enough strength to not just sit by and leave all of the concrete to him. But what tipped the scales was Stefano’s continued insistence to fix the wall he broke, which was more than she had been willing to do earlier. She actually found herself not wanting to say no, date or not ”I feel like I can manage it if you can.”

Looking back down at their hands again, she grinned and gripped it with her own and tugged Stefano again toward the hall where the hole was. ”I don’t think holding hands while we’re doing it will work out but how about after?” Holding hands with him gave her a fluttery feeling in her stomach that she didn’t know what to do with yet.

Given the flushed look on her face and small smirk, Stefano figured he hadn’t completely struck out yet. There was a mystery quality about this woman that reminded her almost of Violetta in a way, thankfully, Farrah appeared to be more into his antics, still holding his hand as she spoke. Her style left him with more questions than answers, curious if she was planning on seeing anyone today or was hoping to fade into the darkness of the dark asylum he had accidentally broken into. It wasn’t something that Stefano could see himself pulling off, but if she wanted to dress him in all black and chains, he would listen to whatever her seemingly soft lips and piercing red eyes asked of him.

Allowing her to pull him, they made their way back to the hole he had created. Was she actually going to let him hold her hand until their job was done? Stefano had dreamt of the day this might happen, but was sure that was just a silly fantasy. Unfortunately, the sweet words flowed from her mouth, asking for their hand-holding session to take a pause for a short moment while they fix the damage. A completely logical response, but Stefano didn’t enjoy it one bit, pouting slightly.

Then he realized what she had said in its entirety. After. Implying that after they were done doing the hard work, she would be willing to go out with him again! What glorious news! Stefano was sure his ears were playing tricks on him as he started to hear a few birds sing afterwards. " So. What you’re saying is the faster we finish this, the faster I get to hold your hand again?" He gave her a puppy dog stare before letting go of her hand to start inspecting the hole.

Giving it a closer look, Stefano wasn’t sure what to make of it. Admittedly, he had never made repairs to this extent. He hadn’t even witnessed how to fix something so… large. It was mostly his mother sewing holes in his clothes or his father adding a few nails to the floorboards. But that was years ago, and he didn’t see any spools of thread, planks of wood, or a hammer to help him get started. Would Farrah be upset if he admitted that to her? He didn’t want to start their relationship off on a lie, but they were getting along so well, he didn’t want to create a wedge between them.

" Farrah, my fair lady. I have a confession," He looked the girl up and down. Scared to look her in the eye as he prepared to tell her the truth. " I have absolutely no idea what I am doing." He shrugged, looking back at the hole, " I am normally famous for making holes, not fixing them. But I want to try." He bit his lip, unsure of what to say next, " You wouldn’t happen to have any ideas, would you?"

She watched as Stefano’s face went from sunny to gloomy as she questioned how they were going to fix the wall while being connected at the hand. Farrah hated to see it but fixing the wall was, unless you only had one hand, was a two-hand job and there were plenty of bricks between the pairs of theirs. It must have meant a lot to him, this hand holding. She didn’t do a lot of it herself, didn’t seek out hands to hold. It was with Lily that she held hands with last and it was sweet, innocent, and felt like a lifetime ago. If she held anything these days it was tools. Stefano’s hand was an improvement, in hand feel and because it felt surprisingly pleasant. The latter may have had more to do with how she perceived Stefano.

Rah blinked at him when he asked about linking up their hands again then made a nod of her head. She did say that. The enthusiasm was more than she expected but… geez if those golden puppy dog eyes weren’t cute and didn’t make a part of her brain melt. When he let go of her hand she put both of hers to the hem of her sweater to fidget with it. She watched him as he inspected the wall, and it wasn’t long before she was inspecting it too. Right off the bat she knew they weren’t going to make it look exactly the way they found it. So what was the next best thing?

A questioning sound came out when Stefano turned back to her and mentioned having a confession. While he said he didn’t know what he was doing, it didn’t get past her that he still wanted to do something about it. Farrah pinched her bottom lip between her thumb and index finger as she looked from him and to the wall again. A couple of ideas came to mind that involved a lot of metal work on her end but it would still be just patchwork without the right kind of tools and other materials. Who knew if they would even work without causing more damage… Farrah turned back to him and put her hand under her chin with a grin. ”We can stack the bricks as best we can then pay damages to… the town. Anonymously.” She crouched down to some of the rubble around her boots then moved a couple of bricks around before picking up two of them. ”I have some drachmas back at the school we can use.”

After brushing some of the debris away from where the wall line was, two bricks were placed down. She reached out for two more and looked up at Stefano. It wasn’t a perfect solution, but she hoped that it would be enough to help ease that scared look on his face. If not, she could always go back to the drawing board. He looked better with the puppy dog eyes in her opinion. ”Wanna join me, Lord Stefano? It'll be done twice as fast if you do.” She tilted her head as an invite to get down there with her and the bricks and dust. There was something he said that she wanted to ask about too anyways. ”Why are you famous for making holes?”

                                                  "Speech" 'Thoughts'

Ready to declare defeat and offer the woman a drink for her efforts, the lady Farrah surprised him yet again! Was it possible she had experience with construction already? The name didn’t sound familiar so it was possible she was one of the workers around the parts but given her features and her choice in outfit Stefano figured she had to be some sort of royalty. Most of the workers at the academy wore browns and tans, plus her pants had far too many holes to be approved by the headmaster.

' Truly a woman of true mystery,' Stefano smirked, starting to grab some of the bricks along with her, " Your wish is my command, my lady." . Stefano looked in his pockets before remembering he had left his wallet back in his room. A bead of sweat started to roll down his face, ' So much for taking her out of a drink, I don’t even have a shirt on.' Unsure what to tell her about the money he focused instead on stacking bricks.

Her last question left him almost fumbling the brick in his hands. " M-making holes? Oh yeah!" Realizing he had made the comment prior about his previous mistakes. " My abilities are a bit tricky to control, so when I go all out it is a bit difficult to uh- stop." He chuckled thinking about his last conversation with the janitor about the repairs from the night with the zombies.

" Sorry this had to be the start of our first date." Stefano continued his laughter, hopeful he hadn’t lost his shot just yet. Starting to feel insecure about his lack of clothes he continued talking, "After we return back to our rooms, I can put on some clothes and pay for the repairs." He offered, unsure what the cost of a wall for such a structure would cost.
