Keeping up with her musician, Desiree was in her civilian glamor for the moment as they made it over to the townhouse. Things would shift shortly after, but she found it easier to get around like this for most things. Looking over at Aloysius, she was glad for this promotion for the girl, even if it may be a bit rushed with how things had been with the storm. “I’m glad to see she’s doing well so far, well enough to be recommended for more, Aloysius. This should help her in the coming storm.” She offered a slight smile as she led the way into the townhome, taking her usual seat on the couch and stretching out a bit to get comfortable. ------------------------------------------- Walking at his usual pace, he shook his head slightly at Desiree. He knew that Sakura had covered for his muavian’s poor decision but in the end he was glad the fresh corrupt had kept his little old lady mauvian safe. Desiree always kept plans to herself, much like he did so he was relieved to have someone else keeping an eye on his scheming mauvian. “Yes, I think she earned it even if she is new to things. She has proven trustworthy so I was fully aware Axinite would approve of us to get a crystal for this. It may also be due to things coming up.” The bandage around his hand was still itching, as were the nicks and cuts on his face and arms from the glass he'd been well acquainted with the day before. He was also looking worse for wear, tired after the constant running and organising of things to chase what leads he could. “Desiree and I are here Sakura, I apologize if we are a bit later than I mentioned in my text to you. I am sorry for being sparse with my communications over the past two days considering the storm.”

The house was comfortably warm and perfectly spotless, having been cleaned too to bottom recently by Sakura. In the time since she had started living at the townhouse, the dark circles and bags beneath her eyes had all but vanished, and she no longer looked sickly pale. She had become vibrant and full of life, instead of the walking shell of a person Aloy had first met.
Hearing the door open, she made her way down the stairs with an anxious smile, though it quickly turned into a frown when she saw the bandages and the small cuts on him. "Are you alright?" She originally had just been relieved to hear from her boss, to know he was alright, but now she felt that worry creeping back up as she looked at him. Sakura followed Des over to the couch and took a seat beside her, looking between them as she chewed the inside of her cheek and waited patiently.

Blinking slowly as she watched Sakura come downstairs, Desiree was more than comfortable with them taking a seat next to her. “He's alright.” Looking over toward Aloysius before stretching once more and shifting back into her fluffier form.
Curling up on their lap, she purred and got comfortable. "Given the oddness of the weather lately and what is coming, Aloysius and I reached out about getting something for you.” She was a bit coy as her feather-duster tail flicked with just the smallest bit of impatience. It wasn’t directed at Sakura, no not at all, but more at the fact that things needed to happen quickly in order to make sure this newest corrupt of hers would be safer from what Aloysius had seen.
-------------------------------------------------
Sighing and smiling towards his mauvian, he took a seat as well, on the other smaller couch across from the coffee table. “Tired but alright. As she said this is related to the storm. I know that Laurelite said that everything is normal for now, but something more is going on. There is just no reason to send anyone into a panic or perhaps making rash decisions."
“Desiree and I, as well as Axinite, believe you are deserving of a bit more power now. Given your growth and the upcoming potential for missions and information gathering, we thing it would be best to promote you so that you may be able to better protect yourself and move across the city. This time we can avoid all that hand in chest business of course. I know that it can be unpleasant, even with a gentler hand.” From time to time he still felt that phantom pain from his promotion to General, so very long ago now. Laurelite had been gentle, probably gentler than Axinite, but those were vastly different times and his situation was just as delicate then as hers was when this began.
Fiddling with the bandage on his hand, he looked around and smiled slightly over how much more lived in this home looked now. It was much cleaner, he felt, than it had been when he'd just been doing mild dusting between the visits he made here to teach private lessons.

As Des made herself comfortable in her lap, Sakura smiled and ran her fingers through the thick, plush fur. She was admittedly a little jealous that Aloy could pet the fluffy mauvian anytime he wanted, and momentarily wished she had her own, though quickly banished the thought. Des was more than enough of a delight for her.
Her eyes lit up at the praise, her smile lighting up her entire face really, and it momentarily banished the worry in favor of pride. She strived to do well, to make sure she wouldn't be a burden or a regret for him, which was a recurring worry that she just couldn't seem to rid herself of. So to hear him openly praise her made her absolutely delighted. And to hear Axenite thought she deserved it as well? Well that was just the cherry on top. Though as he mentioned the corruption process, her hand absently moved from the fluffy mauvian up to her chest, rubbing absently at her chest from the memory. It was awful, and she most certainly did not wish to repeat the experience if at all possible. “If we could possibly never have a hand in my chest ever again, that would be the most ideal outcome please.” The only hands being around her chest that she was interested in belonged to her girlfriend, thank you very much.
As Aloy fussed with his bandage, she frowned. "Tell me. I can't help or be prepared if I don't know what's going on." She hated not knowing, hated being surprised or caught off guard. Her voice took on a softer, more gentle tone after she took a breath, realizing she sounded a bit demanding. "I trust you without question or hesitation, but I also want to be as useful to you as possible. And I can't be useful to my full potential without knowing what's going on." She had people she cared about now, people she would do anything to protect.

“I can agree with that whole heartedly, so if you would be a dear, can you hand me your henshin? Of course after a bit more right here?” Shifting to get a few more rounds of petting under he chin as she stretched out and spread her paws. It didn’t take more than a moment for her to pull that little crystal from her subspace, letting it gently roll off Sakura’s lap onto the couch next to her.
She knew that they were worried and went to knead lightly on Sakura's lap. She couldn't say it would be okay, not really, because she didn't know much other than what she'd heard from Aloysius and Liam. She hadn't been there when they'd met up with Alexandre because of the little game she was playing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“That crystal Desiree has so kindly procured, will do the job that Axinite would otherwise have done. I would say I am a bit jealous of that loophole senshi have but it has been a long time since I have had to experience it myself.” Not that it didn’t mean he still sometimes had phantom pains from the experience, even with as gentle Laurelite was.
He watched Desiree pander for more attention and couldn’t help but smile at how much she seemed to have taken after his own habits. Maybe that’s what eleven years of being around him meant even if being awakened was new comparatively.
Fidgeting with his engagement ring, he wondered if he might wear it on a chain once he replaced it with the wedding rings he’d made. There was still a lot of planning to do and time before that happened in late spring, but it seemed so soon just the same. It was something to look forward to, something just past this storm and all the things that came with it.
"What I am about to say needs to be treated with the utmost discretion. The three of us here, and a fellow general of mine are the only ones who need to know some of this. I have filled Liam in on most things otherwise. But shortly after I sent that message out to the team, I was pulled from the city. It was some sort of prison meant to hold a creature that used the storms we are experiencing now. Benitoite, the general I mentioned, has an artifact we acquired from there, but to keep him from being targeted by order or others who might not see him qualified to hold such a thing, we need to keep that information hidden."
Pulling a hand back through his bangs for a moment, he sighed slightly. "We need information from order, anything we can get. There will be no hostile actions taken for interacting with them but we need to track any information we get. That in mind, we cannot say that order will treat us amicably even with the current crisis that may be coming our way. If you need to get out of there, teleport. I would rather you unharmed above any small scrap of information."

Sakura laughed softly and happily obliged the mauvian with ample chin scritches She adored Desiree and absolutely would never say no to showering her in more affection. Once she seemed to have her fill, Sakura pulled her henshin pen from her pocket and held it out. It was something she always had been a little bit enamored with, something so fragile and delicate yet held such enormous power.
She frowned, her mind immediately going to Akaganeite. Her brows knit further at the idea of her girlfriend going through something so unpleasant. “Maybe someone will figure an equivalent out at some point.” She would definitely make an effort to at least look into it later. For now, she returned her attention back to Aloysius.
The next words from Aloy had Sakura sitting up straighter, listening intently as he spoke. By the time he finished, she was fairly certain that there was a permanent frown on her face. "That's what that lightning was?" She knew it was more of a concern than it was being let on about. "As far as cooperating with Order, I actually met a rather.... amicable senshi the other day. I'd been meaning to tell you about it but hadn't had the chance. She called herself Aruna. Second level senshi. She actually was the one who approached me to talk. Asked why someone would willingly join chaos, and wanted to understand why someone would leave everything behind." Sakura shrugged and continued. "She sees it all as shades of grey, similar to how I do. That there are good and bad on both sides, none of it being truly clear cut black and white. I think she might be... a good one for you to talk to, to try and use for information."
Taking a moment to let him think about it, she spoke softly but with clear conviction. “No matter what comes, you will always have my power at your disposal without question. Before anyone or anything else, I am loyal to you first. I trust you and your decisions implicitly.” It was not a statement that she made lightly, nor one she would likely ever make to anyone other than Aloysius.

Taking the henshin in her mouth for a moment she hopped off of Sakura's lap gently and laid the pen down on the couch. Then with the crystal, she watched as it dimmed slowly, something she knew meant the energy was going into the henshin. It wasn't the first time she'd done this, at least in general, but she was glad it would help things run smoother for everyone. "If they do, I know it would be the more popular option for certain." Once she was done, she popped the dimmed crystal back in subspace and pawed at the henshin lightly. "The next time you power up, you'll be stronger." It was as simple with that, no added step of going through a mirror or anything like that to make sure it stuck like with Liam. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Listening as Sakura spoke, he mentally added the senshi to his list of possible leads for things. Somehow he needed to find out about the other people who had been in that room and four of them had been order senshi. It was just a lottery on if he could find anyone who was both reasonable and connected to who he was looking for. "I see, I may reach out in the near future after I look into some leads with Benitoite. For now, we need to report every interaction, even if things may seem trivial. It would be better to keep an eye on them during all this and given their off-world locations, some might have seen more than we can from here." It was going to continue to be a rough few days, he could feel it in his bones, but he needed to keep on top of things as best as he could. There were places to go and people to speak with regarding things. Hearing how she trusted him did have him smile slightly, it was good to hear considering that originally they'd been on the other side. It meant things were going well, something he had unfortunately had to take a chance on given the nature of lost memories and how people reacted to it. "I will keep you posted as I learn things, aside from uploading reports. It will be especially important if Liam does end up getting involved. I really doubt I can stop him so the next best thing is to make sure he can get out of a bad situation safely if I am unable to pull back from the main line." Hinting at what she might need to do, he left it at that before leaning back into the couch. "All storms pass, some are just a tad rougher than others."
