Tianyi clutched the ledger he'd found on his world close to his chest. It wasn't much, he knew, but it was something--and maybe if he brought it back to Murikabushi and the others, someone who had a better understanding of how things worked might be able to do something with it.

He was useful. All the feelings going back to his world had dredged up--they meant something. And maybe they could mean more of something.

He was practically running, crossing the cute little park he'd cut through on his way to find somewhere to power up, and very much not paying attention to his surroundings, or to his senses, or anything--which turned out to be a mistake, because he very much nearly collided with a stranger, and trying to stop in time made him stumble and nearly fall.

Oh, that would have been incredibly embarrassing--especially because.

Oh.

Oh, dear, Tianyi could definitely feel a Chaos aura, and the person in front of him was definitely wearing the base dark colors that he'd been warned were a signifier of Chaos. He clutched the ledger a little closer to his chest, ears wilting.

"I'm very sorry!" He said, "I wasn't looking where I was going--um, obviously, I just....I'm sorry?"

When the Senshi nearly crashed into him, Jet quickly reached out an arm to catch him from falling to the ground. And if he wasn’t actually needed to stop him from falling, he at least kept his arm out to give him a moment to steady himself.

He was a General tonight. It was easier to traverse through the city like this. Fewer people kept their distance, which was ideal in these dire times. And he was stressed. Desperate for answers. To find anyone who could help isolate what could give them an upperhand in things.

He didn’t care what it was, as long as they could keep the Earth safe. Or at least not devoured.

“It’s okay,” he promised, straightening up to get a better look at the Senshi. At first he was frustrated, if only because did the White Moon not realize how much danger everyone was in? It probably didn’t help that he had slept very little since the incident.

But inhuman features meant--

“You’re one of those aliens not from Earth,” he observed.

A pause, and then Jet decided it was worth a try.

“Do you know what’s happening? The storms? This world being in danger? I’m trying to collect information to help but…” It was difficult to find White Moon that would trust the Negaverse enough for a conversation.

Tianyi would gladly swear that he had listened to everyone's warnings about how dangerous Chaos was. He wasn't stupid, and he liked to think he wasn't quite so naive as he'd once been. He knew that the man currently keeping him from falling over was definitely dangerous, even if he was being polite so far.

But surely not everything had to be about fear. Surely if he was expressing concern about the storms, at least this man had some genuine concern.

Maybe he was fishing for information, but it wasn't like Tianyi was holding any kind of secret key to the universe.

"I am, yes," he said, like it wasn't completely obvious. "Sailor Tianyi. And I actually do know something." Here, immediately, were the fruits of his expedition. Surely they were all residents of the same planet. Surely they could all work together.

"This, um." He extended the ledger. "...You won't be able to read it, it's written in my people's old language and the person who wrote it had just the worst handwriting on top of that, but...." He flipped to the relevant page, tail swishing excitedly. The lettering on it was somewhat similar to Chinese characters, but Tianyi's description of the handwriting as pretty terrible was clearly accurate--the characters were ill-formed, and several were distinctly smudged. "Here he talks about a delayed meeting with a trading partner. Because their planet was experiencing strange electrical storms. And then, later, when they went to the meeting, it was just...gone. I know that's not much, but--it has to be this thing, right? Whatever it is?"

He hated the idea of working with the White Moon for anything, but his priorities were clear, and the Queen was clear. They needed to find a way to save Earth, or at least protect it.

Jet was grateful that Tianyi seemed trusting (and foolish) enough to so openly share what he knew. Although maybe if the White Moon was taking this impending disaster seriously, they would realize that they needed as much help as they could get. From all sides.

“So there’s just… records of storms and planets being completely gone?” he asked, trying not to sound frustrated. He lifted a hand to rub at his temple and took a step back just to give the other a bit of space.

“Sorry, I haven’t been sleeping well,” he explained as an excuse for the shortness in his words. “In your book… is there anything that describes preparations for an unknown danger? Anything that could help us either deter this thing, or lure it into a trap?”

He was exhausted. He’d had energy drinks but they only did so much.

The fact that there were strange electrical storms and then the planet disappeared…? It was clearly not a good sign.

Tianyi wilted, a little, and he closed the ledger, holding it back against his chest.

"That's all, yes, I'm sorry," he said. "I suppose it's not very helpful at all, is it?" It wasn't as if they weren't well aware of the threat. All Tianyi had was further confirmation that it had happened before, or at least, that was all he could really pull from it. "There's nothing about preparations--I don't think anyone really knew what it was, or what happened."

He hugged the ledger tighter, ears dropping.

"You must be under a lot of pressure, and here I am, taking up your time with barely anything to show for it," he said. "I'm sorry, I hope you get a chance to rest." His own chronic sleeplessness wasn't related to any particular immediate cause, but...well...he understood, certainly.

No, there wasn’t anything helpful about the information the little alien Senshi offered. Jet was agitated, but it was because he knew time was running out, and there was still a lot to try and uncover.

“Whoever you need to tell… whoever you were bringing that information to. Let them know the Negaverse is willing to negotiate for information to help protect against the threat to Earth,” he said, tired but sincere.

“Tell them Jet is willing to talk to them. Please.”

Even if it meant setting aside his dignity when it came to talking to more Senshi and Knights… What was the point in dignity when the Earth could be destroyed?

Oh. Tianyi knew that name. Of course this man looked terribly haggard; of course he was carrying an incredibly heavy weight. He'd been one of the ones in that strange place--one of the people trusted with the information that was the only reason anyone even knew what was happening.

"I'll tell them," Tianyi promised, "and based on how Murikabushi has spoken of you--he's the one I was heading back to--he'll be glad to hear it." He gave a brief bow, and paused before turning to leave.

"I hope we can meet again, when things are less dire," he admitted. "I have...questions. But I won't bother you with them right now. You've got much bigger concerns."

At least Jet was as reasonable as Murikabushi had made him seem. And so far, Tianyi hadn't really had a chance to ask anyone about Chaos that didn't...well, that didn't have some sort of negative bias, bluntly. And he'd had enough of only getting one side of the story.

His friends here on Earth meant well. But he'd always thought that of his family, too, and they'd still kept him carefully in the dark. Better to be more proactive. To seek out his answers for himself.

"Good luck! And--if I do find anything else myself, I'll do my best to get it to you. We all live here now, yeah?" And if he ended up trusting the wrong people all over again, well--

He'd deal with that if it happened.
