The spot on his desk where he'd been keeping the spike was empty, the spike wasn't there, it was in the generals posession as he left his office and teleported back into the city. With the spike in subspace, and hoping nothing happened to himself, the blond hurried off to a secluded part of the city for the next step in his plans for tonight.
He'd been doing his best to meet with people, knights and senshi alike, he wasn't leaving anyone out it seemed. This was one person he'd been thinking of since his talk Laurelite - Almadel. The alien merchant who had a museum in space, which he'd helped protect and save, the man owed him a favor for that and this was the perfect time to cash in on it. He didn't have anything in mind that he'd otherwise want, he was comfortable here on Earth, but for now he needed to get to space and he needed answers. This was a serious matter which needed dealing with, and if going to space might help than so be it.
Pulling the card from subspace he glanced over the white card for a moment before flipping it over. On the back was a holographic cicle and that was where he pressed his finger - to summoned Almadel. "I really hope he has a clue and can help." He was old, ancient perhaps, and maybe he'd been alive when this serpent had even been free to roam space and devour worlds. Rene was at home, with Katya and the bunnies, he knew what Alexandre was doing because he always knew when he was going out as Benitoite. He made it a habit to let him know, peeking into his office to tell him or leaving post it notes, he liked to keep his partner in the loop about things. Taking a break he stood there, amongst several run down warehouses, a flickering light above his head as he waited. He couldn't sense anyone, thankfully, and he had notebooks and pens ready in subspace for this. If he had to do his own research, and note taking, he damn well would. If he just needed to write down what the other said it would be easier, as he had a feeling this man had a lot of books in his posession, but he really didn't mind going about things the hard way. It was all a matter of the most amount of information possible and if that meant going through a mountain of books so be it, he'd just need the time to do so.

“Ah, hm, well, this is not the most scenic part of Destiny City,” Almadel said suddenly from behind Benitoite. He had arrived silently, manifesting in a radiant aurora that faded almost as quickly as it appeared. He brushed what looked to be sparkles off his coat. “But I’m sure you’ve got good reasons for bringing me here!” Almadel’s tail twitched behind him and he seemed in good spirits, if not just a bit jittery. To anyone who didn’t know him, it was easy to assume it was just an alien’s quirks. He steepled his fingers before him, tapping each fingertip to its counterpart. Briefly, his eyes drifted to the sky before returning to Benitoite’s face. “To what do I owe the pleasure, General?”

Turning, rather quickly, the blond smiled and even bowed politely. "It's so nice of you to arrive, and I sense no auras here so you are safe." For now anyway, nothing was sensed by him at the moment, and with their aura smothered he figured they'd remain safe.
It was when he caught their gaze drifting off, upward, to space he tapped his foot. "I assume you know what's coming for us then." And from subspace he pulled the spike, and held it out to the other. "I need to know about this, anything you can tell me, as well as anything about the serpent. From where it came from, how long it's exsisted, wher it's confined to anything else you can tell me. It needs to be dealt with - for everyones sake." Including the others, because if it got out he figured no where would be safe.
"Please, this is what I want in return for helping save your museum. If I have to read books, take notes, I'll do whatever I need to." Because it would help everyone. "I can tell you where I was that I recieved this spike." In return for any informatio nthe other could provide him, of course, he figured he could offer more to the other, aside from having saved his meseum. "Though I don't know if having this talk here would be the best idea."

“Oh, so formal,” Almadel praised, but waved his hand dismissively and avoided the spike completely. He didn’t reach out to take it, nor did he claim to know of whatever Benitoite suspected he assumed. “I’m afraid you’ll have to fill me in a bit more, dear General! You give me too much credit! I have no idea what you’re talking about. But I’ll take you to the museum, that’s what you’re asking?” he prompted. He smoothed his hands out on the front of his uniform and then offered one hand to Benitoite as if to invite him along. “You can catch me up to speed along the way. I’ve always enjoyed a nice story. And I do owe you for helping me with those Kosopods,” he hummed, tapping his foot on the ground. Eventually, he shrugged. “Well! We’ll figure it out along the way, won’t we! But I have no idea what you’re talking about! Really. Truly!”

Not for one moment did he believe the other being clueless on what was going on, but he would fill the other in on things, as he dismissed the spike for now he took Almadel's hand and stood close to the others side. "I'll fill you in, I have some pictures go go along with things, I am hoping you may have information on what is going on. It is my hope that whatever is coming can be stopped, chained back down." If not outright removed, so it wasn't a threat to anyone ever again.
"The storm on Earth, the lighting we'd been having, tore a hole into the sky and pulled myself ans everal others in. The room was, at first, dark that did however change. There were murals on the wall, the first showing a giant serpent circling a planet...which is drained dry and it dies. The serpent then leaves for somewhere else in space." He would from there have to show the murals, since he hadn't seen the others. He was hoping something would get the other talking, he was sure they knew something.
"I do hope you have something to drink, something warm, so we can talk properly." Since he was waiting for them to wind up in space, looking at the other as he spoke so he could watch his reactions.

Almadel hummed as he listened, as any good audience should do to ensure others knew they were paying attention. His face betrayed no surprise or shock as Benitoite spoke to him, but before they left Earth he said, “Oh, I don’t know if I’ve got anything warm for you to drink. I can get you some water, humans drink that. But you won’t like what I have. I’m afraid I haven’t been back in a while so I haven’t restocked my supplies. If I’d known I was entertaining guests I’d have prepared sooner!” Their time on Earth was short; light sparkled over Almadel’s skin and spread across his body to Benitoite’s. A tingling sensation started from where their hands connected and rapidly expanded to pass over the rest of Benitoite. The process was warm, but not unpleasant. They lurched upward, into the sky, but between one breath and the next they were propelling downwards. It was a painless process, and they arrived in a hallway easily recognizable as one of the back rooms in the museum. It was dimly lit and a bit cool but Almadel seemed unfazed. “Maybe I can make some coffee. Oh–warm cider?” he asked, and gestured for Benitoite to follow now that he released his hand. He wandered into the first door, which was quickly revealed to be a stockroom. It wasn’t a very large room, but there were shelves along all walls, and boxes packed neatly with little space between them. An alien language was written on them but Almadel moved to one and pulled out a few dark bottles. “Sounds like you’ve been keeping busy,” he said, but that was the only commentary he had related to Benitoite’s endeavors, and he didn’t look up as he needlessly scrutinized the labels. “Do you like pomegranate?”

Ah, maybe the next time Almadel visited Earth he should bring him supplies? As well as things he may like as well? It wouldn't be a terribly bad idea, he might even find others from elsewhere in space who liked the things from Earth, it would help him host others for certain. "You should give me a list of things from Earth you like, flavors and things you like, I can bring things to you the next trip you make." It wasn't to gain favor with the other, certainly not, he didn't think it would work anyway if that were his intentions. But if the other were to be hosting people, from all over space potentially, from time to time than he should be well stocked on offerings. Those from elsewhere in sopace might find Earth thigns they liked even, and maybe a reason to visit Earth? He just hoped if they did come it would be for good things...alien grocery shopping?
Travel to space was a lot less agressive, and jarring, than he'd expected it to be. It really wasn't bad, even if the tingling had been somewhat uncomfortable. It was something unexpected, he'd been preparing for something rougher and more uncomfortable. "I wish space would do similar to this. The transport to that place in space was rather unkind, and far too sudden." Not to mention being dumped into a pitch black room, never mind the lack of magical access.
"Warm cider would be nice." That would be really nice, something warm and the apple flavor, it would be perfect. Ohh, it sounded good and had him nearly tasting it as he stood there at the others side. Following the other into a storage room, at least it looked like such, he tilted his head at the next question.
"I love pomegrtanate." It was one of the things he always had in his espresso, at least when the small place he frequented had. "I've been trying to learn what I can about this issue. I can show you the pictures." His tablet was summoned, of course, and he pulle dup the pictures to show them to the other. "The floor also had markings, the spikes I'm assuming. I'm just wondering where this place was located, since we didn't see the outside of the...facility." He wished he had a better name for the place, knew what it was for certain. "I thought it was a tomb in the start, marking the achievments of the one who headed the handling of the serpent. But then I figured it might be the actual place the serpent is being kept...telling the story, as a warning, to people." But he wasn't entierly certain of that now either.
"You've traveled, a lot, and you are far older than myself. I'm hoping you've heard of this place or were around when this serpent was." He was putting a lot of stock in this, in the hopes it would pay off. Things had not gone well with Valhalla, something he'd not been expecting, so he was hoping this would pay off with a lot of information.

Almadel tilted his head as Benitoite made the offer to bring him supplies, but before he could graciously accept, Benitoite was back to business. So, Almadel held his tongue. It would have been rude to step away, so he placed one of the bottles back in the box and then began to roll the other bottle between both hands quickly. Benitoite was between himself and the door so it wasn’t like he could escape. A few times he tried to look elsewhere, like he really wasn’t interested in the tablet, but finally he caved and, exasperated, dipped his head a bit so he could see it better. He continued to roll the bottle of cider between his hands with great expertise; from the tip of his finger to his wrist and then back again. “General, you’re very charming, but you really need to practice the lead in. You’re making my head spin! This is to much at once. I’ve not even gotten you your cider. And I’m not actually even sure where to start. I’ve never been to a place exactly like that. I’ve been around! To a great many locations with fancy murals, and I’ve seen tombs, and prisons, and whatnot–but something like this?” His expression was a bit grim as he looked at the murals again. “...Well, I can’t tell you by sight alone. I don’t really make a habit of breaking into active prisons. And something like this,” he shook his head. “No, those storms are something to avoid. I’m not really the sort to willingly throw myself into danger. A prison like that, well.” He shrugged once more. “Those things aren’t designed to stay in one place. It was probably supposed to stay on the outskirts of the universe, where no one would ever find it. Don’t you think? Where would you keep something like that? No, don’t answer that. Let me try again. Ask me one question at a time, give me time to think about it. You’ll get me tongue tied and confused. No, I have never been to the place in those pictures. And I don’t know where you could find it. Specifically. What’s the next question?”

Finally he did seem to realize things, and he moved to the side to let the other escape the room. Bowing his head he sighed softly. "Sorry, I've gotten a bit carried away. I suppose the nature of this has me nervous and on edge, my manners have fled from me due to that." And really they had, especially after the failed attempt at courting a knight for information and help. He was trying to make up for things, as wel las feeling some invisible strangle hold on him, there was a time crunch on things and he knew it. The question was how much time? How long till things happened and s**t hit the fan?
"Alright, so let's go slow then. Perhaps the first question, though it doesn't deal with the impending issue. It is no less important - supplies. What can I bring to your next trip down to Destiny City?" Because that was still something he wanted to know about, even as he looked at the bottle Almadel held. Stepping out of the store room entierly, rather than just out of the way, he stood outside the room waiting on the other. With money not being an issue, not that the other knew it, he could manage to get him a great many things he could offer up guests he hosted. It might even help him with dealings he had? Yes, it was still important to know. If it made him a friend in the process..well...that was just fine by him, who was he to complain?

Almadel lifted his head briefly after having bowed it while he rolled the bottle rapidly. He followed Benitoite into the hallway but seemed to drag his feet a bit as he began to guide him away from the store room and towards the rest of the museum. “Oh, I can tell. You do seem a bit jittery. What supplies are you offering? I like junk food. Because it lasts so long,” he insisted, and not because it was probably toxic and he seemed to enjoy that. “I’m not picky. I like all of Earth’s treats. Which is why, of course, you know I wouldn’t want to see anything foul befall it. Earth is very near to my heart! And I’ve spent so much time there. I was actually hoping to set up something of a permanent residence there. Well, of sorts. Semi-permanent. Vacation home.” He shrugged, “You know. I’m quite alarmed to hear that you’ve got some concerns. I thought Earth was in good hands, yes? Don’t you protect it, isn’t that the whole Negaverse thing?”

"I can offer you nearly any supplies you'd like. You could even get fruit growing plants, if you had a place to grow them here, and produce some fruits for yourself...or clients and guests. But, I can offer wine, coffee, sweets and junk food. You can give me a list of things and I'll be certain to gather whatever is on the list." He'd find a way to complete the list, take it as a challenge, and see just how hard it might be to gather everything. Oh, it would be a lovely challenge and it might even relax him a bit, keep him from focusing so much on the impending doom, he was sure it would help to have something else to focus some of his energy on.
"Oh! Now that sounds interesting, a vacation home would be nice. I am rather curious in where you'll find a home in the city, there are lots of promising areas." Oh, now that would be so very interesting. Having the merchant sorta living in Destiny City would be good for finding him, if he was ever needed for something, it would provide an alien he was more comfortable talking to since they were not a senshi or a knight.
"Earth normally would be but I suppose our lack of knowledge, not knowing what to expect and prepare for, is causing much of the feelings. I have faith in our Queen and Metalia but there is still that lack of knowledge which leaves an uneasy feeling. I'd like to know my family will be safe, or if I should be doing anything for them. Not knowing what is coming also causes that normal human feeling of fear of the unknown, it's why people still fear death." Shrugign as he spoke, hoping he might be able to get some answers from the other. He really wasn't lying, or even really playhing things up, but he wasn't going to hide his feelings and thoughts either. "I'm wondering if repeating what was already done is a good idea or if it should be killed instead...if it's even possible. So it never becomes a threat again. But is it needed for some sort of balance? That removing it entierly will cause other problems." Shrugging as he spoke, trailing along at the others side, his hands stuffed into the pockets of his uniform.

“What?” Almadel nearly snapped. “What ‘balance’? No, kill it. It’s just a pest, anyway. LIke the Kosopods, but bigger. If a brighadon breaks into your house do you just let it–wait, no, those aren’t from Earth. What do you have? Bees?” he shrugged dismissively. “The point is, you don't just let a predator in and worry about the ‘balance’. What are you, a Knight?” He huffed but seemed to quickly remember his manners and smiled sweetly instead. “I’m sorry, forgive me. It’s been a bit rocky lately. What were you saying about a list? I can do that for you. I’ll just give you one of my shopping lists. You can probably read my handwriting.” He hadn’t stopped rolling the bottle between his hands, but now they were passing through the end of the hallway and into the wide expanse of one of the exhibit rooms. The museum was notably empty of guests but the lights turned on as soon as he stepped into the room. This room was filled with strange artifacts–tools and artwork that had an undeniably inhuman touch to it. He stopped by one case and flipped the glass lid with his elbow. Only then did he stop rolling the bottle and snagged two intricately carved cups from the display. The case was lowered quickly and he set the glasses atop them. “I don’t think you should focus on repeating what was done before. It didn’t work the last time. How do you know you won’t repeat their mistakes?”

Laughing at the others responce, because he really couldn't help it, the responce of the Almadel was unexpected. Bright eyes landed on the other, a hand at his own cchest as he continued to laugh. "Hardly! I'm no knight. But I do know there is a balance in things and I worry that killing this might throw the balance off...and something worse will happen. But if you are saying it needs to die than I will side with you knowledge." Because the other was far older and knew far more than he did. "It's a pest though? Like those insects...that makes it sound more annoying than downright apocalyptic." And he was so sure it was, and maybe it still was, but ti ear it being downplayed and called a pest...that was amusing and even lightened things a bit. Perhaps that was what he needed.
"That's fine, I understand thigns being rocky. But yes, a list would be lovely. That way I can be sure to shop for what you want."
Surprised at them so casually grabbing cups, which he'd think worth so much, to see the cider poured into them he shook his head smiling. "You use the items in your collection, I like that. At least they aren't just a decoration." They stil lserved a purpose, as they always should have. Leaning on the case, glad they looked sturdy, he tilted his head and stared for a moment. "That was nearly my exact reasoning. I just fear that even if we manage to seal it, again, it'll fail in the future and with no replacement spikes they'll be damned in a way even we aren't. But the question remains...what can it do and what weaknesses does it have - essentially..how to kill it." And did they have the man power and strength to do it. Glancing about the blond wondered just how many items in this place might actually be useful in the slaying of a world eating serpent, how many weapons were in here.

“Things were made to be used,” Almadel insisted, and once the cider had been poured he passed one cup to Benitoite and kept one for himself. “Besides, these were getting dusty. I’d have to clean them anyway. I’m just kidding, it’s not dusty, you can drink from it,” he said, and seemed amused with himself. The cider in the cup was warm, as if the ministrations he’d given the bottle on the way over had actually been quite effective in heating it up. “I’d call it a pest. Just a big one, yes? Humans are very quick to label things with such grandiose titles. Sometimes it’s cute, but you must give yourself ulcers by thinking about things so seriously. ‘Apocalyptic’ is just so…” His voice trailed off and he shuddered; his tail twitched uncomfortably. “But you have to think–if they could handle it before, why shouldn’t you be able to handle it again? It’s not some undefeatable god, it was subdued once. And there are so many of you on Earth–that has to count for something, yes? Surely you have weapons…?”

For a moment he eyed the glass, as if expecting to see some dust floating across the liquids surface. No dust found, and the others words assuring him of the joke, he took a sip. Finding it warm, and pleasing, he smiled appreciatively. "Body tempature to warm it, that was a good idea." It made him wonder if the other ran a hotter body tempature than a human did, he didn't question the other though. Sipping slowly the blond nodded his head a bit.
"I suppose the word pest works, though I've not been using that term myself. I'd normally use the word pest for something which is annoying...not something which kills planets. That seems a bit more...dramatic and intense." A lot less annoying and a lot more terrifying if you asked him. "Maybe we over inflate thigns, and use bombastic terms, because we haven't had the time to mature and realize there are far bigger things out there? That something like this is, as you said, just a pest? The lack of experience and lacking age as well. Part of the problem being human." Making a rather vague gesture with his hand. After you saw enough things it did sort of numb a person to other things. But it would take a lot to numb a person to this, and he wasn't sure a person could fit enough into their short lives really.
"Yes, but I'm going to assume they had more knowledge about the thing back then as well. What it can and cannot do, weaknesses, we're guessing here and winging it. Not something I enjoy much." Another sip of his warm drink, letting the warmth spread and fill him. He was almost a bit chilly, it was just how he was, but this was nice and warming. "Yes, weapons we have and the senshi and knights have magic. I stil lcan't help but worry...I don't like not having every bit of possible information, it leaves chances for mistakes to be made. I worry we are ill equipped both in information and in strength." It was, for him anyway, no secret that order and chaos did not work well together or that order lakced order often times.
"I wish I had more strength for this, that I knew more so I could worry a bit less." Another sip as he set the cup down gently.
