After her last visit, she'd been itching to go back and work on things. Once the last of the customers had left for the night, she packed a bag full of supplies for the work she was gearing up to do. With the floor fixed in the main room, tonight she was planning on looking into the clock's mechanisms and seeing what she could figure out between it and the schematics that were in that other language.

Locking up, she circled around the backside of the building before powering up. Hefting the bag over her shoulder, she started down the street with a set pace. The storm or whatever had been going on seemed to ease up, which was great because she didn't like the idea of getting rained on. Something else was up with it, but for now it didn't matter to her, other than the fact it seemed to take longer for her to power up. There was almost a hiccup to things, it felt like, almost like the connection was smothered but she didn't know what might be doing it.

If it persisted, she'd send a letter to Aaru through her ring, hopefully he would know something since he'd been at this longer. Fiddling with her signet ring as she walked, she only needed to get a bit farther to get to the clearing she liked to leave from. It was normally quiet and rarely was she bothered while heading to Pluto from there.

Kinsey had over time come to see the watch shop and Luciana as a refuge, a safe place where he could go for a few hours and learn something which would prove useful to him in life. He hadn't thought he'd ever find a place like this, or let anyone into his life, and yet Luciana was closer than anyone alive was. His own father wasn't even close to him like she was, he doubted his father had a clue what skills he had. Sometimes it all made him wonder why his father had lived and his mother had to be the one to get sick and leave him, though he supposed it was so his mother could gift him her wonder and being a knight. He was convinced the wonder came down his mothers bloodline...something he wouldn't have if she were still alive, this was her final gift to him. She wouldn't have made a good knight anyway, she was far too kind and loving.

Luciana was not like his mother, she was harder and colder, but he could handle a little cold..he was half Norwegian. He wasn't worried about it, especially as he'd gotten to know Luciana. She wasn't a replacement for his mother but he did look to her for guidance and lessons he wouldn't get anywhere else. Tonight was one of those nights where he went to find her, to see what she might be working on, it was always interesting to see what she was doing. He still couldn't believe he'd gotten to see her working on gears and working machinary.

But when he got to the shop..it was closed. It was closed and as he went around back to look for her, to see if there was a light on upstairs, he again saw nothing. She wasn't home...and he felt himself deflate some. He really hadn't wanted to go home tonight, knowing his step siblings would be home, he didn't want to be stuck indoors with them all. He didn't want to hear them all playing a game or something downstairs. He hated being reminded of how he didn't belong, even if he had gotten used to it.

Biting his bottom lip he hurried off, maybe she'd gone out for a walk and he could find her. Tonight was not a good night to be out and wandering around, never mind the fact he was out and about, the lightening and the crack in the air with each one...this wasn't normal for this city. He'd lived here his whole life and never had this happened. While wandering, looking for Luciana, he finally spotted her in the distance. Calling out he stopped, her name half past his lips, as he saw her powering up.

"Oh!" A knight, he thought, he wasn't sure but she was certainly magical and that might be a good thing. Deciding to risk it, because what could she do to him that hadn't already been done, he rushed towards her. "Luciana." Calling out to her.

Tapping her staff to the ground, she was startled as she heard a familiar voice. It was later than usual, so she hadn't expected them, and she didn't expect them tonight. s**t. They'd seen her power up, this wasn't good, was it?

She reached out to take his hand, but the next moment, they weren't in the city anymore. This was her turf and it gave her the time she needed to figure things out as she looked at Kinsley sternly.

"Spasskaya, not Luciana." She said firmly, not leaving room for them to say otherwise. "Did anyone else see?" She squeezed his wrist, only gently, to make sure they knew this was important.

This was a mess but at least it was someone she knew, someone who had been good at listening and seemed to enjoy her presence. Now was the time for them to prove they were a good little puppy and not get her in trouble. "No one can know, not anyone."

Then she let go and looked back towards her clocktower. Something was different this time, the air felt heavy instead of stagnant. "Something's... different. s**t."

"S-sorry, I didn't know what to call you." He didn't have a clue and he'd been in shock to see it. He never would have guessed she was a knight, though he was sure she wouldn't guess he was one either. He supposed that was the whole point of it...you never knew who oculd be a knight - it was all a mystery.

"No, no one saw. I just didn't want to go home tonight, too early, and I thought I'd go to the shop..." And she hadn't been there and she hadn't been home. Watching where her eyes went he let his own eyes follow hers. "What's wrong?" Something was wrong, at least according to her, he didn't know what or how but he would take her word on this.

Should he let her know that he was a knight also? Did he tell her? He could trust her right? He hadn't told her about his family...so he didn't trust her that much, but would he ever trust anyone that much? Did he trust her enough to trust her with this? Maybe...

"So..umm...where are we?" Best to act clueless, though he sort of was anyway. Where they were, aside from somewhere in space, he didn't know.

"It's... fine," she sighed and then started off as lightning crackled across the sky. Only looking back once or twice at them, she motioned for them to follow before returning her eyes to the sky.

"Well, you can stay here for a while tonight, I need to work on some clocks. But nobody needs to know." With another flash, a bolt struck the metal spire coming from the top of the clocktower. "s**t." Cursing more and more as she picked up the pace, reaching back to pull Kinsley along.

"Spasskaya is where we are, my clocktower, my workshop now and then." Smiling slightly at that knowledge, even if it was still getting pulled together with the flashes that came with her visits, she pushed the door open with a smooth motion just as another crack of lightning came.

Then she froze as something started to move. "It... ticked." Speaking softly, as she saw one of the large hands on the floor shiver slightly. One small sound breaking the silence she'd been used to.

"Is this normal?" Watching the sky, because it really didn't seem safe, the lightening seemed rather strong and a bit wild in fact.If it didn't hit the clock tower it might just hit one of them, or something else, the fact it hit the clock tower had him jumping right before he was being grabbed and pulled along by the other.

"I won't tell anyone, don't worry." Once they were inside, and safer than they had been, Kinsey took the time to look around. "Ticked...?" Trailing off, had things not been working here? He supposed that made sense, his own wonder wasn't some working mechanical thing...it was a run down shop.

"You should slowly bring more and more things here, make it a secondary workshop. You could work on special things here..." He said looking around some more, starting to walk around. "I'm trying to do the same thing..." Trailing off thoughtfully, as he wandered around, he didn't mind her knowing what he was. Why should he?

"No, it's not." Closing the door behind them she set the large duffle bag down on the floor and pulled out the large maglight that she had in subspace. Swinging the beam of light over the floor, she saw the hands of the clock shivering, trying to move but not making progress. It was as if something wasn't exactly in place, something she had been going to look into this evening, either way.

"Two clock faces, in synchronization. The one here on the floor and one up in the tower. I fixed this one last time, but I need to look at the mechanism again. I made some springs and gears, but I can only get time away so often." It wasn't their fault, but she couldn't get back here more often because of something else. It was annoying but she couldn't do much about it.

Eyeing Kinsley, she wasn't exactly sure what he was saying. "So you do have other places to go besides my shop and home when you're not in school?"

Walking across the floor, her heels clicked on the repaired stonework as she carefully stepped over the shivering hands of the in-floor clock. Her flashlight beam slowly trailed up the glass backwall, looking over the gears that all seemed to be jostling and shivering. Something was jammed but it was powered now. Progress even if she wasn't sure she liked that such unnatural weather had struck her clocktower. "Something up there or in the workshop up top. I fixed the holes in the floor so you don't need to worry about that. Just watch for the clock hands."

Turning back, she looked at him and then flicked her light to land on the bag. "Bring that along, I guess tonight's lesson will be up there. The stairs are solid but uneven, so watch your step, I've fallen twice so far while moving things between the floors."

"So then the lightening is being casued...by something. Something not normal." A glance towards the door they'd entered from. "I don't like that idea. Something that can alter weather, and like that." That strong, that much lightening. It didn't exactly give off a very safe feeling, he did wonder for a moments thought to his own wonder and if it was in a similar state. If he looked out a window if he'd see the sky looking like it did out here.

"No, I go to the library at times, to work on projects, but no - not really." He could go to space but it wasn't that often, not as often as he wished, if he could live there he would consider it. It was a shame he couldn't....but he did also have school to attend...and he wouldn't fail in school. If he could go to space and school and that be it he'd be fine with it, he really would, he'd just need to find a way for the internet and technology to work in space. He was one of thsoe teenagers who loved the internet, it offered leeons in things and an escape fro mthe real world. It gave him project ideas and more.

Looking from her to the bag he nodded his head and went to grab the bags handle and follow after her slowly. "I'm glad I can help, a second set of hands might come in handy tonight." Considering it looked like a lot of work, even if there was some movement from the clocks hands.

Did he tell her he was a knight as well? Did he tell her that he did go to space at times? It might redirect her away from his family and home life...and that would be good, he didn't want people knowing about that part of his life. Though he did suspect she had a good idea on things...just like the one from school seemed to. "I have gone to space before...so I can go there as well, I just wish I could stay there more." He wished he could live there, thats what he wanted to say, he wished he could attend school and once the day was over he could power up and go back to space - to his wonder. If he could then wake up in the morning and prepare for school, going down to Earth for classes, he would be happy. It would cut out so much which he didn't need in his life...that he didn't want in his life, liek his family. It would give him the safety he wanted and no one would find out about his home life either, especially since he wouldn't be 'home' anymore. It would be perfect.

"I can't see how normal lightning could be here and on Earth, something about it has been giving me trouble going out." Like she'd been wading through sludge to power up.

"I don't like it either, which was why I wanted to check on things here." Looking back periodically as she climbed the stairs, she made sure the flashlight gave them both enough visibility so as to not trip. The last thing she wanted to do was fall and eat the stone stairs in front of them.

Reaching the top, she fought with the door for a moment before stepping into the upstairs workshop. It was still dusty, though not as much as it was before she'd hit it with a mop. Everything still smelled of old paper and oil though.

But that was when she caught what he was saying and turned to look at him closer, leaning in as she looked them over much as she looked over any of her projects. "Where? This is Pluto and I know of a fellow Russian who is of Saturn. Do you see things there as well?" Though she still was conflicted on how vulgar they were, something that reminded her too much of her ex. She did wonder if they had the same sort of sleep walking visions that she had, times where she felt like she was pulled into the past and another life. They weren't as easy to differentiate from reality sometimes, which was bothersome when it happened while she was on the stairs, but she'd quickly picked things up as she went.

"Staying isn't so much of a problem if you prepare. It was a few days I stayed last time I was here cleaning, but I packed food and water, aside from all the things I needed for cleaning and repairs. But I also don't have school or parents to worry about."

Crossing her arms, she had an idea that parents weren't the thing that needed to be worried about for them. Not after they'd mentioned not having grandparents around. Family might not be something they focused on, which was fine in some ways. If anything she'd played pawn to her family's requests, going as far as even entertaining that shithead ex of hers until he'd ******** everything up.

"The issue I have is the delay between visits, though it gives me time to get things together and get parts machined and ready to replace."

He did trip, twice in fact, but caught himself before he could faceplant on the stairs. He didn't need to get injured here and with things so out of sorts, it would just hinder the other and without a doubt gain her ire. He didn't want to burden her, not when she had thus far been kind to him, she was teaching him and took him in...in a manner of speaking anyway. She gave him a safe place to go when he didn't want to go home, and something to do at that place. He could go the the library, he knew that, but he didn't like to always be there. Kinsey could even just lock himself away at his home, he did that every night when he went to bed, but that didn't mean he wanted to do that more than he already did. At her shop he had some form of freedom, though not as much as most people did, he still felt on guard and like he had to watch what he did and said. But it was better than being home.

"Ganymede." He answered, without too much thought. No one had told him but he knew, somehow, it was just something he knew. "A moon of Jupiter..." In case she didn't know where Ganymede was, because he hadn't. The study of stars, planets, moon and space in general was not his thing...it never had been. He didn't care now either...he just cared about his wonder, because it was his and only his. It was, at least he believed, a connection to his mother and her family. There was no way this was inherited from his fatehrs family, he was certain of it.

"Yeah, I can't stay even if I wanted to. I have school and I can't fail any classes, I want to get into university on a scholarship." He wanted to earn it, he wanted to use as little money from his mother as possible, there was also the matter of pride and earning something for himself.

"I wish I could go more often..I want to clean more and make it a workshop and a place for my projects to be stored. It looks like it was a millinery so it has some tools but nothing I really need or can use." But the options were there. If he ever got into fashion he could focus on hats...he'd have plenty to work with and the space needed.

Fiddling with his hands as he stood behind the other he finally stepped forward, finally having decided it might be a good idea to power up. Instead of the small letter opener he had a walking stick now. His clothing a lot finer than the others, too fancy really, but it also felt nice...he had always liked nicer clothing. He liked to get clothing he just didn't get to often, since he saved for more expensive higher quality items, this was a bit too fancy for him but the quality was there and he felt more like an adult. He could even, in a sense, be someone else for a bit..escape things for a while.

The bag still in his hand he glanced about slowly. "Do you want me to clean a bit while you work?" He didn't mind cleaning, he was good at it, he went to find a place to put her bag down just incase she did want him to clean.

Rolling the name of that planet in her mind, she wasn't sure if she knew it, but then again, she only knew a few others so far.

"I see, can't say I've heard of it but..." Trailing off as they powered up, she noticed it seemed to lag a moment just as things had for her. It was.... an interesting look on them as was the cane.

"So... well then. Guess if Rene tries to cause me anymore trouble, then I know you won't get in trouble for stepping in." Smiling slightly, she tapped their hat with her staff.

"From what Aaru told me, as we get stronger the time between visits gets shorter. So there is that to look forward to for you." If they did need more time away, she could understand that, after al,l with all the work she needed to do it would be easier if her trips were more often.

Taking the bag form them and setting it on the desk, she pulled out the LED lantern and popped it open, illuminating the entire room with its cool and bright white light.

"You can clean if you want but, I thought you might want to look more at the clockwork, see the whole wall here used to be glass. I finished cleaning it up but really, I have no way to replace it, so I'll need to figure something out. But this isn't a tourist attraction so it might be fine to remain open as long as I keep oiling it and looking for corrosion." Pulling the few parts out of the bag, she wandered over to the wall and started looking for a stuck or trapped gear. It wasn't particularly safe but it would need to be managed before things would be able to properly move again.

"And Novella...for my name, it's short for a longer name." It was simply easier to use Novella, especially in a pinch where taking time to say more could get someone hurt. "I already made second rank, so I can go more often, but al lthe old fabric and no where to throw it all away." And the smells from the old shop, it was a nightmare to work with. He was just glad for no bugs or mice or anything of the sort.

"I'd have to bring it all back down to earth and find a place to dump everything." And then redo things, like the curtains, he would like better curtains so no one could peek into the shop. He didn't think anyone would persay...buuuut assuming there were other knights, and a senshi? He didn't want to risk anyone wandering by and seeing into his shop. It was his and he didn't want anyone seeing in or walking in or anything else. He would need to check the front door, and any back doors, for locks and see about getting knew ones with keys for them. Something antique looking, so no one would know the difference, he also could get latches to install on windows. He wanted to secure the place and redecorate, with the same old fashioned theme in mind of course, he would pay tribute to the style the place originally had, while maintaining a place which served his currant wants and needs. It would be a bit of a balancing act but he was up for the work.

Just like he was up for helping, as it seemed cleaning was not on the list of things for him to do tonight. "Yeah, I'd like to see and help with the clock. If you leave it open...could dust potentially ruin it as well?" Curious as he stepped over closer to inspect it. "The glass would be impossible to replace, bringign something that big up here..." Trailing off as he shook his head. There was no way they could manage it. But he understood her want to fix it, he wanted to fix his own wonder.

"Can I come here with you - to help and observe? I'll bring you to mine as well..." Even if it was personal for him, deeply so, it would only be fair. She also might be able to assist him in various things including just providing advice, she seemed rather good at that.

"Alright, I can remember that. There needs to be some sort of magical dump, honestly." Sighing at the fact they had a similar issue to her own, but with fabric instead of glass and stone.

"I've been breaking the stone down into dust to then use in cement to do the repairs, but for fabric... I have no idea." Shaking her head, it probably smelled much worse there than it did here.

With a few cursory pokes of her staff into the gears, she noticed where there seemed to be something white stuck in the gears. It was solid but other than that she couldn't quite make it out. It looked to be the cause of things as well as the gears she knew she needed to replace so she did that first. Setting her staff aside, she pried one of the large gears out of the clockwork before setting in a new one, taking advantage of the jam to keep from losing a finger.

Grunting with the effort of getting it back in place, she ended up slightly checking it with her shoulder at the end. It wasn't as delicate as she'd like, but with a clock this big it could handle some precussive maintenance.

"You can, not every time but every once in a while. I need Aaru for the big things, useless lummox otherwise." Mutteirng several other nasty things about the man in russian, she was still glad for someone to b***h at in her own language from time to time. It also helped that they seemed to have a better idea of things too.

"I'd like to see the shop, maybe I can help you get rid of things since I have to pay extra anyway for disposing of metal and machinery with my shop in the city. I doubt they would have questions about fabric here and there."

"At least stone is reusable....the fabric is musty and eaten, threadbare, it's a mess." A disgusting mess and the musty smell was terrible. He'd left a window or two open the last time he'd been there. He could only hope the place would be aired out better by the next time he visited, otherwise he might just need to get something in there to handle the smell. There were thsoe glass containers with the sticks which stuck out from them...diffusers. He could get a few of them and stick them all over the place.

"That's fine, sometimes help is going to be needed to fix things." Because both his and her wonder were a mess and in need of help.

Staring for a moment he nodded his head. "That would be helpful. I'd like to remove it all over time and have new curtains made." And once iut was clean he'd turn the work work into a room filled with the materials he'd need for his own projects. The room where things were shown off, and tried on, would become something else though what he wasn't sure. The office he would need to come up with something for as well. And he was certain there were living quarters somewhere on the second floor but how to get there he was not sure of.

"I'll take you there as soon as I can." And he was moving to look over what had become caught in the gears, though he didn't move it right now. It wouldn't do for the gears to start moving and working right now. "A bone...?" Maybe..the color was right, an old one though. "Did someone get caught and die in this clock?"

It definitely felt like things were going smoother with company. At least company that wasn't vulgar and obnoxious. It had her chuckling slightly until they mentioned a bone and someone dying.

Shaking her head, she pressed a palm to her temple as she felt like such a thing was familiar. She felt a pain in her hand, shooting up her arm as she stepped back and gasped from the shock and sharpness of it. That usual demeanor of hers shattered for a moment as she got a flicker of something before she closed her eyes to it.

"I... maybe? I think I'm going to be sick." Shuffling back she slumped into the creaky wooden chair by the desk as she sat for a moment to collect herself. Turning her hand over and over, she didn't see anything wrong now but that didn't mean she was going to be extra careful.

"We need to get it out, we should probably use my staff to hook it if possible." Pointing over at it, she wasn't exactly sure if they should do it or she should do it herself.
