Lazy was the best word for it, really. She had been off doing shoots in New York City for the past few months, and now that she was home in Destiny City, there wasn’t much that she wanted to do but…
She figured she should at least reach out to Zenner and Natalie and let everyone who she was trying to mentor know that she was back…even if she hadn’t been great with communicating that she was going to be leaving.
Still…a job was a job and she couldn’t refuse the offer. The money was fantastic, and New York had been…utterly outstanding.
Sadie had texted Zenner first, arranging for the woman to come to her apartment for lunch, and was setting up a snack table filled with…dumb things. Egg tarts, a charcuterie board, dumplings. Pretty much everything that Sadie was having a craving for, and when she heard the knock on her door, she bounded over and opened it. “Zenner! Oh my god I’m so sorry I was gone for so long! I’ve missed you!”
