Hmm. I agree with X, we cannot fight inflation no more. It's impossible. There's too many of them and not enough of us. Sure we could try, but we'll simply waste our funds and time.

DJ - No, that is not exactly what I am saying. I have to clarify... I mean, fighting inflation is merely one part of the whole for the betterment of a gaian society. There has to be anti-inflators and this struggle must be done, I am just mentioning that the stack is against it.

To explain, in the end there are always differing sides in a society and as such I do not mind it as much. I have always expected greed and despite being against it, I accept it as just part of the package. Meaning, I intend to have fun regardless of what they do.

The listing is always fun. This is the problem for a spread-sheet nut like myself, I do crap like this but I am not sure of the legalities of publishing it. I am one of those who are pragmatic enough to be sin the middle though leaning towards and working for the under-dog. I mean, I can easily make a hidden guild like that and populate it with a "List", but that is merely an escalation.

You also have to consider that to be able to buy items, you need to still deal with greedy individuals. To be able to auction things or sell things, you will have to deal with greedy individuals, especially if you are either 1) selling art, 2) auctioning common items for status, 3) anything dealing with an auction. Why? Because more often than not, they would be the ones that have the items.

There are individuals with items a.k.a. gaian wealth that actually try to pay it forward. Where due to already being wealthy, they can do sales and give-aways, run discount stores or pull off stunts like some of us do, but they are quite often out-numbered. There are also those who have been around here for ages, but most of them are of a neutral state. So in the end, many who actually pay for auctions pay for items that are accrued through the method of "gouging".

So in summary, if I were to publish a list or create a guild that gives such a list, anything I do will be associated with that. So, I will not get a higher bidding, which in turn limits what I can do. The current project I am doing hopefully can break through that, but as I mentioned I am not happy with it, and as such it is set back again. -- DJ - Fighting inflation is a necessary thing and still needs doing. It just needs to be a counter-balancing force. Hence, I admire Lexi_Plexi's efforts as she has a genuine and solid method of generating funds to run her projects, even though I am unsure if a 1K sealed drive would do much. I mean, I did a 2 to 3 a day 3K sealed letter sale to no avail, 1K is bordering charity.

I do not mean to be rude or anything just laying things straight as I see it currently.

InnocentBlackShadow - Awww, I am sorry... I thought I was 80% done, but I found out that I have to learn a lot more first before I can say that. I ended up having to re-do a lot of things. I mean granted it seems fine, but I am not happy with it. Since I am not happy with it, I get to fool around with it a bit more.

Lucifer_Satan - With you, I am glad you finally started the art auction. One problem I have with it however is you have not fully considered what to do next. The other auction fizzled and did not end, and I trust that you will stay this time? You already "broke faith" with this place, and which is why I mistrusted it to begin with. Which is also why I tend not to follow the propaganda and those that make promises too casually.

I admit, I am way too busy in real life to be able to do anything here easily. Being a nut like myself is no help either.
Back then, the admin and mods actually bothered and were concerned about price-gouging and such. Which was why there were individuals that got banned for scamming. That is not really the case any more.

I also realized that there are harvesters in gaia, who try to make profit to sell the items on e-bay. I do not really care if they do this either, it is their time and effort, and whomever pays them, that is their business.

Just have to adapt to the reality that more and more people are finding out about these things. Which is why I bounced back and do not really care if people say what I do is pointless. The fact that I am having fun is all the point I need. I applaud the sentiments and the trial of doing this, since if not us, who else would?
