Omen was pleased to have Lorcan’s home all to himself for the afternoon, Kioshi had let him know that he could have free reign of any of the rooms with open doors which was a good enough compromise after the offer had been made alongside a breakfast of bacon. The bacon hadn’t survived long once it had been left for him and he’d been pleased with the offering from his human. Most of the morning was spent lounging and stretching out on the couch, kneading the pillows until he felt they were comfortable enough to nap on. He did at some point paw at the controller until something started but he didn’t really mind what was playing, it was just for noise as he settled in for a bit. This place was bigger than Kioshi’s was, at least in open space. There were still some boxes not put away at the newer home they’d moved into which he was a bit kerfuffled about. If there were things in the boxes that meant he couldn’t use them to hide in and pop out to hunt things. Kioshi encouraged him to do it and he had fun with the toys they gave him. Purring slightly, he knew someone was supposed to stop by but Lorcan had been vague. As long as they knew that he was the mau in charge here while the other two were gone, then he’d be fine though.

Katya liked to come and go from Lorcan’s, sometimes the peace and quiet of his home was needed, not that she could hear Rene and Alex from across the house but still…it was simply nicer. He also had a lot of things she could, and did, tinker with though most was medical equipment of some sort. She’d already planned this trip over with him, knowing he was going to be out for a while, so she was safe to let herself in and work on whatever caught her fancy.
She had been told there was another mauvian in the house, one she hadn’t heard of, and they were new to things. She assumed that Lorcan was telling her this so she wouldn’t be surprised, nor would they, and perhaps in the hopes of her helping and guiding them some? From what she could remember, as it had been many years back now, she had needed her General to help her with many things in the beginning. This one too might need help, and perhaps some which only another mauvian could provide. Smiling to herself, a rather self satisfied kind of smile, she let herself in with ease and decided to call out and let the other know she was here - did they know the guest arriving was another like them?

Hearing a key in the door, Omen lifted his head up and looked over towards it. The woman who stepped through didn’t look like someone related to the blonde or Kioshi so he was slightly confused. Stretching out, his tail twitching as it curled and uncurled with his long stretch, he then hopped up on the back of the couch to stare at the new person.
What was it that Lorcan said? Oh yeah, it was about not talking out loud to humans. So instead of his usual spoken greeting, he meowed loudly at the new person and stared them down as they called out.

“You don’t need to meow at me, I know you’re a mauvian.” Katya responded as she stepped into the house, taking off the long fur coat she wore, and finding a place to hang it up before her shoes came off and she padded further into the house with bare feet. Perhaps it was because she was a mauvian, maybe not, but she didn’t like socks really. She was used to bare feet, or paws, so her boots had been worn barefooted.
“I’m Katya - also a mauvian.” She spoke while approaching the large dark cat, he was larger than she was in her mauvian form, and reached out for him to sniff her hand. “I can take on my mauvian form if you’d prefer, but I’m here to look over his clinic and tinker on some things. Lorcan also asked me to keep you company, you’re new to being a mauvian.” Where as she had been like this for years, she couldn’t even remember how many, and she’d been loyal Lorcan’s cousin that whole time.

Straightening up, Omen looked at them closer and sniffed her outstretched hand. “Omen, that’s my name, the one Kioshi gave me.” Trilling slightly at the mention of his human, he looked towards the boots they’d left behind and was confused as to why they weren’t wearing socks.
“How are you like them if you’re a mauvian too?” Tilting his head before headbutting Katya’s hand, he could at least ask her to make or order him lunch if she had human hands. Fiddling with the phone with his paws wasn’t something he liked doing, it was clumsy and had him more frustrated the more he tried. Not that he tried often in front of Lorcan or Kioshi, he didn’t like the idea that they might think him a fool.
“What do you mean tinker? Lorcan keeps everything locked up.”

“There is a device we can build, it allows us to roam around for a short while like this. You can do it too, in time, I suggest learning to take on an in between form first. Human body but tail and ears as you have now, it’s useful in some ways but it will throw a very large energy signature. Like this…I have none and I cannot do anything which a normal human cannot do.” She was the same in nearly every way really.
Petting the other on the head she smiled down at him. “Kioshi….so you are not Lorcan’s mauvian. Kioshi is who to Lorcan?” Though she could guess it, she couldn’t picture the rather stiff doctor letting anyone into his home unless he was close to them, very close, so it left only a few options really.
“He lets me in so I can work on some of his machines. I’m not as capable, technology wise, as other mauvians but I’m still more capable than most humans.” Which said a lot she supposed, it also placed her down towards the bottom amongst her own kind, at least she figured as much, though she hadn’t met too many others who served chaos as she did. So perhaps she did rank higher than she thought.
“I’ve been working on updating his equipment, within reason, for whatever reason he doesn’t want any upgrades that seem..impossible as it were. Now, do you want to join me and we can talk, you can tell me about Kioshi and his relation to my general's cousin.” As Lorcan was cousin to her general…and she wanted to know how this Kioshi was to them.

It sounded complicated, especially some sort of in-between form. But if he could do that… it meant he could get fancy clothing like Kioshi had and he really liked the sound of that.
Purring as they pet him, he headbutted her hand a few times to get attention where he preferred it. “Kioshi is my human, messy as he is, and I think Lorcan is his human?” Questioning as he moved his head out from under her hand and looked up at her.
“Oh, he doesn’t let me near things but Kioshi has tried making me use his phone. It’s kind of hard and never seems to work just right. Does taking on that human form help with things like that? I feel like it would.” Trying to maybe press for a bit of info because he wanted to run around and get into places he couldn’t otherwise get to with paws.
Hopping down from the couch, he circled her legs and fluffed his tail against her shins. “Lead the way Katya?”

“Kioshi….an officer I assume.” She’d have to look into this, especially since they were claiming their pet human was with Lorcan. She would be looking into things as soon as she got home, because it was unexpected though she did find it to be a good thing, she was certain whoever Kioshi was they were an officer in good standing - Lorcan wouldn’t accept less. Petting him, scratching gently, her nails helped in this way.
“It would yes, having fingers helps a lot. Though it also can be done in your current form, it just takes a lot of practice.” She could do it even if it was easier in other ways, especially now in this form. She didn’t need to worry about a massive aura, which would give her away, and she could do as she pleased for a while without anyone knowing her true nature. “I did wonder about the smell of another person here…I suppose I now have my answer.” And other things, things she had been very unsure about till now.
“Of course.” Smiling down at her fellow mauvian. “You’ll tell me about Kioshi, and how messy he is.” She wanted to know everything she could from her fellow mauvian, while helping him as well of course. Now she knew what Lorcan wanted her to do, she was here to teach and to assist in this one becoming more than just a simple cat who could talk. She’d build them up and help them find themself in this new position they found themselves in. Leading the way to the office, she had things she wished to work on, her bare feet silent on the floors. “I think we should work on some upgrades today…” Lorcan had earned them after all.

“No? I don’t think so, senshi I think he said?” Scrunching up his face a bit as he padded along behind her. He liked the sound of this human thing more and more because he didn’t want to put the effort in to fumble around with the phone with his paws more than he had to. It was annoying and took too much time out of his day that could otherwise be spent getting pets from Kioshi or eating.
The mention of smell had him flicking his tail with a bit of annoyance, he’d had the same issue with the blonde the first few times, even if they’d fed him as directed. “If I tell you, I want to be able to do what you’re doing. However you’re doing it, with being human.” Trying to negotiate with the woman as he followed her into the locked clinic room. So she had a key it seemed which meant the blonde human trusted her, which made him feel offended.
“They get quite loud sometimes and mate, even when it’s time to feed me. Something about Kioshi being hurt is helped by it but I’d rather them not do that.”

A senshi, so a corrupt one, and Lorcan said all senshi were witches…how amusing to think he was seeing one. Lips curling as Katya smiled, oh so glad she’d decided to come over when she had, she might have missed meeting Omen and finding out this bit of information. Looking over the other mauvian Katya took her time before responding, he was looking to make a deal with her, and while she would be giving him more than she would be getting in return it was a fiar enough deal. She had no reason to deny him the information he wanted, not really, and she was far too interested in this. After all Lorcan was her little generals cousin, and this Kioshi was someone seeing Lorcan, she wanted to know about this person.
“Fine, I’ll tell you what I can and I’ll even help you.” She wasn’t looking for more than information, wasn’t looking to drag this all out, she had a simple want and while he wanted more it was all fine with her. She could negotiate better if she had a want, or a need, to do so but she didn’t this time.
“Mate…you mean they have sex. Of course humans do that, my own general and my corrupt do the same thing.” Because Kafka was her corrupt, as much if not more than Benitoite was her little general. Kafka was a corrupt senshi and her job was supposed to be more geared to dealing with corrupt senshi, it had just hadn’t till he’d entered Benitoite’s life, now though she had Kafka and she could help him and she had - he was an eternal now! She’d helped him gain his wings.
“Pain helped by sex…now that is interesting, and he is a doctor, so he would care about that.” And she would question Lorcan about it, she didn’t mind putting him on the spot, she was rather curious about this. To think he was dating someone…and engaging in certain activities, she was rather surprised by that, he didn’t seem the sort really especially a corrupt senshi! Moving towards one of the machines Lorcan kept in the room, situated on a desk, she got tl booking it over and seeing just how it all worked. He needed some upgrades and she would provide them, of course.

While his habit would be to hop up on the counter, he knew the counters here were off limits and decided instead to sit on the floor and wrap his tail around his paws to keep them warm on the linoleum floor. It was easier to clean apparently, compared to the wood floors of most of the home. But he hadn't seen so much as a single dust bunny so he had no idea if it was true or not.
"Yesssssss," he trilled again excitedly at her response. It meant he could get to new places and maybe see what Kioshi thought about maybe bringing him out to lunch somewhere that wasn't here or at the apartment.
"Ick but they're so loud about it, especially my human. I don't know why he would bite the other, wouldn't that hurt?" He couldn't understand it, not at all, so he was curious if she might know considering her humans did the same.
"If doctor means someone who listens then yes. My human panicked when I started talking but Lorcan seemed to know what to do without being so distressed. They also haven't cried or snotted in my fur like my human does sometimes." It hadn't happened as much since they started coming over here more often, but he still was a bit offended that it had happened at all. While he adored Kioshi, he didn't like getting his fur all wet and messy.

"While I work on this I'll tell you abotu the key you'll need to make. The materials are up to you, each key is different, it'll be somethign which suits you." She stated, thinking how she'd had Kafka help her with her own key. Not only had he helped her but the materials ahad come from him and his shop, it had been a good way to spend time together. She spent a lot of time with him actually, as he liked to read as much as she did, the only downside was he didn't like to be as involved in things as the blond general did.
"That goes hand in hand with humans and mating. Animals are not like that." She didn't think any animals were loud like that, though she could be wrong, it was not something she'd ever looked into. It was not something she'd look into either, she'd wind up having to read a lot which she didn't want, there was the potential for Rene finding out what she was looking into and she wasn't going to explain that to him. She did not need to know that Omen's human ,the corrupt, bit Lorcan - she absolutely did not need to know! "It can...but I've heard with mating it doesn't always." Again, nothing she would look into and was guessing at. She had caught her humans at it a few times and seen thigns she was sure would, and should, be painful and yet seemed to not be.
"A doctor can listen to things, there are some doctors who do that, but Lorcan is not that sort of doctor. That's just his personality." She spoke while starting to get the tools out which she kept here, so she could work on things, and got to work. But helping manage pain....that was a doctors thing to do but she didn't understand this, and she was glad she didn't.
Wrinkling her nose at the idea of her fur being snotted on, and being cried on, was just gross - so very gross. She was so very glad her little general, and Rene, were nto the sort to get so emotional as so cry and sniffle on her. "You can contact me, when they are mating, and you can come stay at my humans home. Even if they are doing the same the house is big enough to avoid it." Where as here was not large enough to avoid the noise.

"Something that suits me?" Tilting his head as he mused, he got up and moved closer to Katya. Maybe something Kioshi had here might work, they wouldn't mind if he borrowed some things right?
Noticing the bit of awkwardness, he abandoned that topic in favor of the mention of the blonde human. "I want to do that. Can you teach me how to go around as a human, too? Does that mean I can buy nice things and fabrics to wear? Kioshi has such soft fabrics but they won't let me on them because apparently they're fragile or something to my claws. I don't mean to make holes in them, they just feel so nice." Pouting as he plopped down on her foot, he whined more about how unfair it was he couldn't have nice things.

"Yes, that would mean you could go around and buy nice things, provided you have the money for it. My little general, and my corrupt, let me use their money so I go out with that." Because she didn't have a normal job, though she supposed she could do some sort of a job from home, the two didn't mind letting her shop with their money. Rene even went out shopping with her! Oh it was so much fun, and he had such good taste in clothing.
"How about we work on getting you to this stage, so you can pass as a human, and we'll go together. I'll ask one of my humans to come with us." Because she was certain they'd join them, at least one of them would, and everything would be covered. It would allow Omen to also get his paws wet and see how humans lived and how to blend in with them, because she felt like he'd stick out too much otherwise. Another person, aside from herself, would help cover up any akwardness he might have on that first trip out.
"Oh, I know what you mean. Alexandre has expensive clothing. So, since I can't use his clothing to sleep on I went and nicked a few things and stuffed them into subspace and only took them out once home. I keep a long fur coat in subspace all the time, it's the first thing I took for myself, but really what else is a mauvian expected to do? We're cats essentially and don't need clothing like humans and we're like pets to some. So of course I decided to help myself - I deserved it." Because she worked hard, now more than ever, but also she was not just some simple house cat. She was better than that.
"Human clothing is expensive, so I can understand that. You just need to get your own things. Perhaps have a blanket, or two, made of some soft fabrics." That way he could knead at it and roll about on it all he wanted, and make whatever mess he wished to. It was the best answer really. "Now, lets go over what you'll need for your key." Since he seemed really interested in the idea, and wanted to get to it, she would let him know what she knew so he could get on his way to replacing four paws with two feet.
