Welcome to the festival of Dionysus!
You've arrived after a short trip on the ferry to Cythera. They're celebrating Dionysus at this time of year!
Except on arrival you're concerned... what... happened here?
Human men and women lay passed out in the middle of the streets, broken glass covering the dirt pathways and what looks like wine draining away into the soil. There are decorations... there were decorations but they are in tatters, some trampled, others ripped and the worst ones looking like they'd been burnt to ash.
The silence is deafening but you're glad to see people are alive and well just... inebriated and taking a short nap.
You hear something in the distance and make your way to a large open field. The grass sways in the wind, seeming to follow along with a soft melody of hooves. Adjusting your vision to further in the distance you see a herd of Hoi Hippoi dancing and laughing. They trot in circles and rear in sync as if they've done this so many times before.
On closer inspection you realize they're dancing for a reason. Behind them, a shrine of Dionysus littered with different grapes, wine bottles and several different species of ivy. Somehow you just know they're dancing for him for they believe his blessing is one to remember.
