User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Name: Emer Donlevy

Nickname: None, really

Gender/Pronoun: He/they; Elkurudans had multiple genders, but the markers for them tended to be much subtler than most other species could recognize and they generally appeared very androgynous.

Age: 1,035

Birthday: July 26, 989

Sign: Leo

Gemstone: Ruby

School/Occupation: He’ll probably end up working for the Earth post office!

Hobbies:

Journaling || Emer has always been a keeper of meticulous diaries, notes, journals, etc, but Earth makes it so much more fun. There are gorgeous notebooks. There are stickers. Washi tape. Emer is going to make the prettiest bullet journals and they will be written in the most incomprehensible encoded shorthand.

Cryptography || Considering his espionage work, an affection for codes and codebreaking is really just natural. But even outside his work, Emer has always found it fascinating, and he loves to study codes and codebreaking and will be gleefully diving into the history of it on Earth, thank you.

Puzzles, in General || Sit him down with a logic grid and a series of clues and Emer is content for however long it takes him. Please let him solve your riddles. Give him a Rubiks cube and that is an afternoon of glorious enrichment. Jigsaw puzzles are great, but only ones with lots of pieces, and take the box away so he has to solve it mostly by himself, thank you! Emer just loves puzzles. Great for the brain, good fun, a little competition between him and the puzzle maker.

Virtues:

Organized || Emer is meticulously organized. A place for everything, everything in its palace, and detailed systems to make sure it stays that way. He can always find what he’s looking for, keeps up to date on his scheduling, and generally makes sure that everything is sorted so it goes as smoothly as possible.

Cooperative || Emer is really, really good at working with people and getting them to want to work with him. He knows how to bargain, is good at smoothing over personality conflicts, and is always happy to work as a go-between for people that might need a third party to make them cooperate.

Analytical || Emer is good at looking at things from a logical angle and reasoning through problems. He doesn’t let himself get tripped up by complicated issues, and instead often finds them to be puzzles worth solving, which makes him more excited to tackle them.

Flaws:

Fighty || Sure, Emer tries to be easy to work with, professional, and casual, but push him the wrong way and he will absolutely gladly throw down. You wouldn’t know it looking at him, but Emer is very angry and very scrappy, and seeing his world destroyed and being forcibly separated from everyone he cares about has only made him moreso.

Ruthless || If something needs to be done, Emer will do it, even if that “something” is messy. Sure, he may look cute and delicate, but once upon a time he sat at the center of a world-class web of espionage and secrets, and he will not hesitate to demonstrate how he got there. And no, he doesn’t care if other people think he’s wrong for it. Let them judge.

Suspicious || Emer would insist it’s a survival skill. A thousand years ago, he might have been right. Now, being suspicious of everyone unless they’re thoroughly vetted mostly makes him standoffish. Sure, he’ll cooperate and get people to work together, but he’s extremely careful about who he lets know him and generally assumes that betrayal, cruelty, and harm are always just around the corner, and he is constantly on the lookout for it.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Round, soft blue

Hair: Long, vibrtantly blue, worn in various cute styles

Face: Round and freckly

Skin Tone: Pale

Body Type: Lithe and androgynous

Clothes: Cute things. Especially anything pigeon-y. Yes, it’s cliche. No, he doesn’t care.

Uniform Color:

Main Color: Gray
Secondary Color: Green and purple

Uniform:

Concept at right~

Attacks:
Sailor Scout Attack: Pigeon’s Resilience!
Elkurud speaks the name of his attack, and a rain of pigeon feathers falls from the sky in a 6-foot radius. Allies within the radius find that they are more resilient against attacks, with pain and damage from physical strikes being reduced by 10% for the duration. This spell lasts for 25 seconds, and can be used three times per battle.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Pigeon’s Adaptability!
Elkurud speaks the name of his attack, and a rain of pigeon feathers falls from the sky in an 8-foot radius. Allies within the radius find that they are more resilient against attacks, with pain and damage from physical strikes being reduced by 15% for the duration. Magical attacks of Super level or below also have their impacts reduced, but Eternal or Royal magic hits with its regular force. This spell lasts for 30 seconds, and can be used twice per battle.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Pax Columbae!
Elkurud speaks the name of his attack and touches his hand to his chest. Two ethereal pigeons fly away from him, drawing a circle with a radius of 12 feet. Everyone within the circle feels more peaceful and less inclined to fight, like any violent urges are smoothed out. This magic lasts for 45 seconds, and can be used once per battle.

Deep Space Senshi:

Physical Features: Feathery, tufted ears and freckles that are larger and blotchier than human freckles usually are. Elkurudans also have a very good sense of direction instinctively, helpful for couriers!

Backstory/History:

Once upon a time, Elkurudans, with their unerringly good senses of direction, were popular couriers across the universe, delivering letters and packages and whatever else might need to go from one place to the other. However, as magic and technology advanced, the need for physical couriers became less and less and Elkurud, once a prosperous planet, began to go into economic decline.

One thing that never went out of demand, however, was spies; for a long time, Elkurudans had happily carried confidential correspondence, and some branched out to wider espionage activities. As the demand for their courier services lessened, demand for their spy services grew, but the latter was always wrapped in the premise of the former.

By the time Emer was chosen as the Senshi, the Senshi’s role as postmaster and, unofficially, spymaster was long established. And he took to both aspects of his job well and eagerly. He made a reputation for himself and for the people of Elkurud, and worked hard to ensure that when people wanted things done, they would look to Elkurud—information brokers, couriers, retrievers of lost things, finders of missing people, nothing was beyond a brave pigeon being adequately compensated for the job.

One job brought Emer his future fiancé, Sailor Amateru, when he rescued him after a kidnapping.

Another, however, brought his planet its doom.

Emer was hired to transport a dangerous, Chaos-infected artifact from one world to another, with a stop home along the journey. But the client had lied—angry about Emer working for a business rival, they conspired to have the artifact stolen and then unleashed on Elkurud.

It brought with it a plague.

The first infected were those closest to where the artifact was shattered, and it drove them mad, making them violent and making them turn on their neighbors. But as the infection spread, it became clear that violence was not the first symptom. Instead, it was much subtler changes in behavior, and a fever that simply would not abate, until the fever obliterated all thought and the sufferer became erratic, violent, and dangerous.

The infection began to make people paranoid, make them distrust each other. Anyone might be a carrier. Anyone might snap next. And as paranoia grew, amplified by the very Chaos disease the people feared, violence broke out.

Emer was forced to flee the capitol for his own safety, and over the next thousand years, he sought any solutions he could find to slow the progression of the disease. But as time wore on, he found himself encountering fewer and fewer of his fellow citizens, and he watched the world itself begin to die. Plants withered, animals starved or found themselves infected by the disease too.

Eventually, Emer found himself alone on a withering world. But he kept searching, in the pipes that if he found the answer, he might one day be able to escape. To regain contact with the rest of the universe.

And finally, a light and a call brought him to Earth.
