Aruna had gained confidence lately, following the disaster hostage situation and learning that another coworker of hers was a senshi, and then her friend awakening also as a senshi. She felt like more and more powered folk were popping up in her life like damned daisies and, while she didn't exactly enjoy that, she at least knew she wasn't alone. She felt empowered by that, somehow, to know that she had more and more people she could rely on, and that she now had someone that relied on her as well. She felt like she actually could somehow make a difference maybe, that she could do some good, and that she wasn't somehow drifting like a jellyfish in the current.

So when she made her way across a rooftop and her eyes landed on something wrong in a parking lot below, she didn't hesitate to make her way towards it. Especially once she realized exactly what she was looking at. A....she presumed it was a person? Whatever they were, they felt like chaos and they were draining a civilian. Absolutely not. Aruna would not stand for that.

Wanting to save her magic for now, she picked up a rock and launched it as hard as she could, watching with no small amount of satisfaction as it bounced off their head. "Hey! Why don't you pick on someone your own power level!" Not that she knew if they were the same level or not, but she was definitely more equipped to handle whatever the guy was than the poor unconscious civilian had been.

Well. Of all the things to happen to him while he was draining, Nagyagite was not expecting to be smacked in the head with a ******** rock. It made him stumble forward, and left him disoriented long enough to get shouted at.

Oh yeah, this was going to be one of those encounters. Nagyagite rolled his eyes, mostly for himself as he dropped his draining victim to the ground. Pathetic, really; these people showed up all ready to fight and left Nagyagite having to deal with their problems.

Ugh. Whatever. He hadn't chosen this, but here he was, and it wasn't like there was s**t to be done to fix it.

He turned around to face the Senshi, stalking towards her with his serpentine hood flared. She had none of the flairs of higher rank, and Nagya was pretty sure the only aura he could feel near him was a Basic, which made her a little bit of a fool, he thought.

"Trust me, if I wanted to pick on someone my own power level, I wouldn't pick you." He grinned, fangs extending, and then spit once he was sure he was close enough, venom flying.

Quote:
Nagyágite's fangs can be used to deliver a toxic bite, or he can spit venom up to three feet. His venom mimics king cobra venom, causing muscle aches, blurred vision, vertigo, and drowsiness for 25 seconds, though if players wish to plot for longer or more severe effects that is possible. He can use this three times in a battle.

This was bad. Monumentally stupid, even. She wondered for a second if the person was a deep space senshi, with their inhuman features, but quickly had to tuck that thought away as he stood and rounded on her. Oh. She definitely just ******** up.

Aruna's hands flexed as she was approached, her body tense. When he spit at her, her eyes went wide in alarm. Did she seriously just have someone spit at her?? She had thought them more civilized than that. She grit her teeth and stomped her foot down, calling out her attack. "Rocky Sweep!!" She winced as her muscles started aching and vision blurred, blinking rapidly to try and clear it. Whatever just happened, she was not having a good time about it.

Quote:
Base Attack: Rocky Sweep!

Aruna stomps her foot and the ground beneath her targets becomes unsteady, as if it were eroding and they were trying to balance on sand. For the duration of her magic, targets will be pelted by a small, ethereal stream of baseball size rocks and debris sweeping towards them. The magical landslide can cause the sensation of mild bruises or scratches and targets will feel unsteady and have difficulties finding their footing. This attack has a distance of 15 feet in a cone in front of her and can be used three times per transformation. Terrain change lasts 30 seconds. The effects of the magic will fade when the magic ends, but players can choose to take lasting or more severe damage.

Nagyagite really ******** hated Senshi magic. He also really ******** hated that he had to get so close to people in order to use his own venom, because that meant he was right in range for whatever bullshit magic the Senshi of the day had to throw at him.

Today, it was rocks, and they sent him staggering backwards, the very ground underneath him shifting and shaking and sending him off balance. And the rocks ******** hurt.

Every single Senshi seemed to have some ridiculous piece of magic to whip out, and it was absolutely not fair. Nagyagite didn't even have the great equalizer of a weapon, because the Negaverse had utterly screwed him out of any chance to be a decent threat the moment he merged with that ******** youma back in Hyderabad.

He hissed, angrily, and stomped forward, forcing himself to move despite the shaking ground, though his progress was slow and very much impeded.

"You are an arrogant little brat, aren't you?" He hissed. "I promise, I'll make you regret this." Hopefully she already was. Hopefully his venom was working, and she was suffering just like he was.

"Oh you act like I don't regret being born every single day of my life already." So maybe she was channeling Muri with the dramatics, but her body ached and she felt like she was going to puke. Good thing she was used to screaming muscles. "Maybe if you lot wouldn't drain people so dangerously bad, you'd get left alone." Because really, there had to be some alternative to this, right? It was something she had thought about a good bit lately. If they absolutely had to drain energy, couldn't there just be something like a blood bank set up, but for energy?

She would maybe talk to her friends later about that. For right now, she had a really angry snake man coming towards her. She carefully backed up as he came closer, trying to keep a respectable distance between them in case he spat at her again. "Just walk away and I won't have to drop more rocks on you." She really did not enjoy fighting. Not one bit. But right now, that might be the only outcome of this.

Nagyagite barked out a laugh. "At least you've still got a life," he said, though there was an edge of amusement in his voice. It felt good, a little bit, to watch her back up, to realize that she was probably afraid of him. Or at least, she respected his power enough to want to avoid any further violence.

Good. Smart. Because sometimes, it really was hard to convince himself that it wasn't a good idea to just kill every annoying interloper who made his already shitty circumstances more shitty or annoying.

"How about this," he said, smiling in a way that bared his fangs, "you turn around and walk away, and I don't rip your starseed out of your chest. I think that's a very fair deal when you threw rocks at me and I've only been defending myself."

"No way in hell!" She wiped at her eyes, gritting her teeth as she squinted at him. "You were hurting a civilian! I won't just stand by and pretend I didn't see it. It's my job to look out for those who can't protect themselves!" She shook her head, her vision getting just a little less blurry. "And you have no idea what sort of life I've got, thanks. You might have a s**t life, but that doesn't mean other people don't too!" Something about his words got under her skin and she felt anger bubble up from her core. Pure white hot anger. Her life had been one crap show after another, and now some snake man was taunting her? Oh absolutely not.

She shook her head again, vision finally clearing, and she primed to launch another attack if he decided to get much closer. "I firmly suggest you leave. I'll get the civilian to safety, you walk away with the energy you already took, no one needs to be bothered further. I don't enjoy hurting people." It was something she hated, if she was honest, but she wouldn't hesitate to send another landslide at the snake man if he did not back down. This was not the night to try her patience.

Nagyagite rolled his eyes, briefly gazing up at the sky as if someone up there might help him. So many ******** dramatics. That was all this was, really.

"Blah, blah, blah. You're right, I'm sure your circumstances are more tragic than being forcibly turned into a monster who has three hours a day for any kind of human life. I am so, so sorry for what you're going through. I'm sure it sucks monumentally."

But whatever. He had what he needed.

Nagyagite bowed, dramatically.

"I got my energy. I don't need anything else from you."

He didn't like teleporting, generally. It felt dizzying and weird and draining, and he tried to avoid it. But, well. It made for a dramatic exit.

Nagyagite vanished.
