Out and powered up, Chang’E was following the crudely drawn map Brioche had made for him so he could find his way around a bit more than just the block right near the apartment. So far he hadn’t had much trouble, a few run-ins with things that were related to chaos, even if they were in far different shapes than he’d known from his own world.
Wandering and keeping his focus on the world around him, he was surprised that the humans weren’t nocturnal, at least not as many of them as he thought might be. Honestly, he would do the same and sleep back in the warm apartment with Brioche curling up on him. But he figured he might be able to get a better view and understanding of this world while less people were out to start at him for not immediately knowing what things were and where he was going.

Hamal was out and patrolling tonight, she didn’t have anything to do early in the day tomorrow, it was a good night for her to be out and so far it was even better because she hadn’t run into anything bad. No youma and no officers and that was the way she wanted it every night, but she knew that meant no Negaverse and that was impossible, tonight was a good evening though and she would take the good nights she could get and be glad for it. Smiling as she wandered, her slippered feet tapping lightly on the pavement, she was keeping to areas she knew would be devoid of most people due to the late hour.
Her clothing stood out, and couldn’t all be hidden by the long puffy coat she wore, so she tried to avoid busy areas. She figured these areas were more likely to be hunting grounds for youma than officers, due to the lack of people here, she didn’t figure youma would wander very public areas so if she wanted to find some youma this would be a good area to look.
Instead of sensing a youma though she could sense order…another senshi, though they did feel a bit…strange. But nothing too different, nothing chaos, so she headed that way to see who was out tonight.

Hearing someone drawing near, he felt an aura that didn’t feel immediately wrong to him. So he slowly turned as they drew closer, it was a woman, or at least he thought they were as they came into view. Then he noticed something else but he wasn’t sure what it was at first.
It was almost like one of the cans with garbage in it had moved, and something he didn’t recognize feeling started to nudge at his sense. Part of him thought he’d seen a glint of a metal coin, something he knew existed here even if they weren’t like the ones on his planet.
“Hello.” Bowing his head slightly to what he could only assume was a senshi or something from this world, he kept watching the area behind them for any other movements.

Seeing a person, a senshi, bowing to her she returned the gesture. She didn’t bow too low but she wasn’t too shallow either. “Good evening, I hope you’ve been well tonight.” Sensing something, something dark, Hamal turned her attention to glancing about them. “Something is here…” But she couldn’t see it, it was harder at night to see some youma.
“A youma…” Trailing off as she continued looking, she caught movement finally and stared. “You might want to be ready, I’m thinking we’re in for some sort of an attack…” And she wasn’t sure how big, or small, the youma was or what it could do. Small did not mean weak when it came to youma. What finally came out of the shadows, where she could see it easier, was a youma the as big as a medium sized dog but it certainly didn’t look like a dog. No, it looked like it was made of…cords or wires…twizzlers…how strange.
She couldn’t see anything which looked liek a head or eyes and she wondered if that was because of how it moved, having a distinguishable head or eyes might make it’s movement harder…or altogether impossible. It was creepy in a way not even a spider could be. It was just…strange and she was staring at it as it moved.
“Damn it.”

“Youma?” Looking at the thing he stepped back, his eyes narrowing as it moved closer in such an unnatural way. “Is that what is it? A youma?” Asking the woman as she stood closer to him. At least there was someone here who knew what was going on.
“I can help if you know how to handle it?” Clapping his hands softly, he felt his magic working. It was sluggish though, like stretching an out-of-use muscle as he stepped lightly with the sounds of a crowd. It sounded off, or maybe because he hadn’t tried his magic in awhile but still it was nice to see it still came to him when he called for it.

“Yes, but not all youma look the same. Some are stronger than others, some weaker, and there is no uniform look. The feeling though…” She answered, hoping to teach the other a bit, as it seemed they didn’t know anything on youma. “Yeah, my magic is attack oriented.” Which at a time like this was good, even if she didn’t like fighting, it was useful to have attack based magic.
“I got this!” She spoke sounding a bit more sure of herself, more confident, as she smiled brightly before putting her own magic to use and calling on it. She didn’t use it often but she knew it would handle this youma and end things quickly! Normally the super senshi was not this perky, didn’t feel this confident in herself, she wasn’t one for fighting and knew she lacked in skills but right now she was very sure of herself and her magic.

Taking what she said to heart, he knew it would be better to learn about this too alongside learning about Earth as it was now, he needed to make sure he kept out of trouble so that Brioche wouldn’t worry. That mauvian was so very kind and he didn’t want to worry them.
Brightening slightly, he was glad to see the woman jump to action. Watching the slips of paper appear, he was reminded of the ceremonial talismans he’d seen in ancient China but he wasn’t sure if the writing on them matched or not. It wasn’t like he had much time to see what they said before something else happened and he watched in awe at the use of their magic.
“Amazing.” Speaking slowly as he watched the orb hit the mass of moving wires or vines, sending it curling back much like a spider that had been killed. Its form curled up and twitched for a moment before turning to ash and falling towards the ground. “What are they? Masses of chaos?” Asking curiously as he moved closer to where the dust pile was before it too disappeared. He wondered if things would be this easy to manage back on his world… something that he wished he could do if any of the things had decided to come towards him. They’d avoided him like a plague and he wondered if it was for this very reason.

“Thanks, it really is a lot more flashy than I like but it’s fitting I suppose. Talismans…” Shrugging a bit, though she was smiling, it really was fitting that it looked rather fancy, all the magic and such. “I’m not sure exactly what a youma is…or what it was…I’m not sure if I should be saying is or was with them. I’m sure someone knows, or at least I hope so, but perhaps only chaos knows what they are.” And she was fairly certain no one in the Negaverse was going to go around filling them in on that, assuming it was a secret or something they knew Order wouldn’t want to know…something which would rile them up somehow.
“You sound like you’re new here…to this fight and to here - to Earth.” She spoke softly, stepping over to the other senshi’s side. “Your first youma…get used to them - they are common and not all of them are this weak and easy to take out.”

Getting a closer look at the woman, he felt the edges of his magic fade as he took a few steps to look around. “I’m from Chang’E, I’ve been here before but… from what I’ve learned it was longer than this current place has existed.” The country as well from what he had gathered. This place was new comparatively and it left him in an odd space of things, where the little he did know was far out of date and led to more confusion than understanding.
“So that pull, was a call to aide?” Speaking more to himself as he looked back up at the sky, it sounded like more than he should get into. At least not until he talked to Brioche about it, after all the mauvian worried over him and he was fond of them. The only reason he was out looking into anything was because they had told him of some things here.
“I’ll keep that in mind, would there be a way that I might contact you again? I wasn’t one of the guards back home, fighting is far from something I understand.” Not to mention he was still weak and worn out from the cold weather and the many years he’d wandered without the necessities he’d needed to keep from wasting away.

“So…ancient and not from here, visited but a long time ago. Do you know when, and where, you visited? That might give me an idea..” Looking over to them at the request she nodded and summoned her phone. “Yeah, you can put your number into my phone and I’ll do the same with yours. I can help you assimilate a bit…I know another like you - a moth like senshi.” She didn’t know anyone else but if there were two of them than she was certain there were more like them.
“Hamal, though you can also call me EunKyung.” Bowing once more to the other. “Senshi of talismans.” deciding to introduce herself properly now, since the youma had been handled. He was very interesting, certainly not human, and perhaps he knew of the other one like himself. Just how many of these alien senshi were there in Destiny City?

Looking at the phone he offered a look of confusion in response and pulled out a pen and paper to offer to them, it had some of the scrawled characters he’d learned so far of the English language next to older much less clear characters he remembered from back then.
“Brioche is helping me, a mauvian. He’s very nice but still teaching me things. He knows about the technology? I think that’s what he called it. Chang’E, of Elation or… well this name is from here but from a long time ago. Shānlóng is what they called me.” Returning the bow as he offered the paper, he figured whatever she wrote down would be something Brioche could help with.
“A moth? I don’t think I’ve seen such a thing. Or maybe I don’t know what the word means exactly. Is it a planet name?” Asking as he rested a hand over the scales on his hip, trying to warm them slightly as a cold wind blew threw him.

“Oh!” Surprised she took the pen and paper and wrote down her number. “Have you met a mauvian yet? If you have you should ask them for a senshi phone, it’s a way to keep in touch with other senshi. If you haven’t met one I’m sure I can help you track one down for some help.” Because it would be so much easier if he had a senshi phone. Writing out her number, and adding both her names next to it, she even wrote her name in Korean after seeing the ancient characters he’d written in already.
And there he went, mentioning a mauvian. “Oh perfect! I’m glad you’ve met one already and they’re helping you.” That was perfect than, a mauvian who could help him and assist him with the technology of this time…because he sounded old and that meant a lot had been invented since he’d been here last.
“Shanlong.” Repeating the word she took a moment before nodding slowly. “Chinese then…I only know that word in relation to a dragon…wind and water it controlled. How long ago were you here…in China?” She questioned the other, if she could figure out when he was here, in China, then that would give her an idea on the dynasty and what he knew and was used to and what had happened since then. “You were in China a long time ago I’m guessing. A lot has changed - especially in China. It isn’t the empire you once knew, so far from it.” It was a shame really.
“No, moth isn’t his name…Erinome. I’ve met him and he’s like you - he isn’t from here.”

Taking the paper back, he looked over the string of numbers with a bit of confusion but with the mention of a phone and other things like that, it gave him a direction to go in when he got home. Things he could ask Brioche to help get set up as he figured the rest out.
"Well I have no real recollection of the time then or if it used the same style calendar. But yes, that name makes sense then. An older merchant guild gave it to me when I was here last and said it was easier on them to call me that." Tucking the paper and pen away, he needed to get back to the apartment and figure things out while it was fresh in his mind.
"We can talk about it more in time, I need to talk with Brioche before he worries about my absence. Next time you can tell me of this, Erinome, you said? I've been to many worlds before, so many that I find it difficult to remember them all in fact." It was a bit embarrassing but he figured it was more to do with the time he spent wandering and lost on his world, cut off from everything else.
Waving slightly as he wandered back the way he'd come, he kept away from where the youma had come from, just in case more might pop out. "We will meet again soon, Eunkyung."
