After that talk, if one wished to call it a talk, with Riker he'd taken his words to heart. They weren't the ones most people would take to heart, like the offer for help and who to see about it, but rather how to hide the marks on his face better and what to do about his castle project.
Once he'd gotten it all finished, finally after months of work, Kinsey had decided just where and how he was going to handle it. He couldn't leave it at school nor could he bring it home, he also wasn't going to go cutting it u p in order to bring it somewhere. He had to do something and space was the only option. He'd been there once weeks ago, nearly a month, and he was ready to try this and get his castle up into space. The thing was heavy, it was huge, and he knew it but he had to try somehow. He didn't know anything about this teleporting with items bit but he was sure it was a thing - it had to be. He needed to get it up there so it could be safe, because his wonder was safe.
He'd stuck around, wasting his time, as he hung out in the back of the tech classroom waiting till it seemed most of the sports clubs were outside and other clubs were running and professors were elsewhere. The professor who used this classroom to teach in had wandered off, to the teachers lounge for something, and he was to mind himself though they weren't concerned for him. That was good for Kinsey as he sat there looking over the item, wondering just how he was going to manage this.
With the door closed, and himself out of view of the door, he finally pulled out the letter opener and powered up. Time to see if this would work.

Staying late to finish off his table's chem project had been a good choice, but walking through the empty school halls as the sky began to darken reminded Jason all too much of his Hillworth days. Thank god he didn't have to transform on campus or deal with sneaking out anymore. With a quiet sigh, he opened the door to one of the larger tech classes that had ended up one of the school's favourite project warehouses. His radiowave presentation had been graded over a week ago, and it was time to take it home, maybe test it out in... "....Novella?" That was a page in the room. A page he knew. Hurriedly, Jason stepped into the room, closing and locking the door behind him. A quick glance at the classroom camera showed that...yes, it was still blocked "accidentally" by some of the perpetual junk that rotated around the room as student projects came and went. "What are you doing here?"

He was not expecting to hear that - to hear his name. Novella turned for a moment to stare before silently turning back to what he was doing...trying to lift the impossible. He'd done a good job, all manner of detail giving life to this project of his, it wasn't something which was to be graded but rather it was a personal project of love and amibition. He now needed to find a way to get it out of here. He wasn't planning on being here longer than need be so he figured it a good idea to ignroe the other, as he moved to bend and try and lift the three foot high castle he'd built. It was heavy and big.
"You can leave." He spoke finally, after a moment of struggle, the thing wasn't lifting so easily, setting it down before something broke, he really wasn't sure how he was going to manage this but he had to. There was no where else for it to go and he couldn't leave it here...even if here was safe, here was also public and someone might ruin it or it could be thrown out.

For a moment Halle stood there, stunned, and then sighed with resigned frustration. With another glance toward the blocked camera, he summoned the power of Halle, donning his own knight persona. "Novella," he repeated more firmly this time, "what are you trying to do here like that?" He looked at the project, knew who it belonged it to, and so knew exactly who Novella was as a civilian. A thing that others could find out nearly as easily. "If you mix around your civilian like and yourself as a page, it can go very, very badly. That's what got that guy, Aelius, kidnapped in the first place." The lecturing had already begun, and who knew when it would stop.

Well, now that made more sense. It explained how this person knew that name and he really was not interested in what seemed to be the start of a lecture. He'd never encountered one from his father nor his step mother, neither cared enough to lecture him about things, but professors did give lectures as did other people who worked here in the school, so he knew a lecture when he hard one and this was going to be just that - and he wasn't interested.
Turning, the castle left waiting on the floor, and headed his way towards the other. He was hoping to put his height to his advantage here, as he was taller than most his age. "I'm not interested in a being told what to do and not do. I'll handle myself just fine." Because he always had, because he had to, he was jsut fine. Who would want to capture him? There was no one who knew him and thus no one who would come for him. He wasn't tied to anyone with influence or power, as it sounded like the other person had been, so he wasn't a prize someone would want to capture. He was a no one, a ghost, someone who could be killed and not missed. It might be a poor way to look at things but it was reality and he was one who accepted reality, not dreams and fantasies.
He'd already been kissed by death, touched by it, danced with it even but he'd been allowed off the dance floor and not hand in hand with death. He didn't want to die, he didn't have a death wish, but he also didn't care as much as he perhaps should. Was that a bad thing though?
"No one is going to go kidnapping me, unlike that one." Keeping his voice low, harsh as it was, he stared at the other. "And I am not leaving my things here." And it was obvious what he was planning on doing with this project, a project enough people knew was his - knew was Kinsey's.
"As I said, you can leave." And he was turning back around and heaving back towards the large project of his. He would make this work, because he had to.

"Even if they don't kidnap you," and Halle felt fairly certain they were all on some kind of list now, "...they'll kill or corrupt you. Inside a knight is pretty powerful thing called a starseed, and they like to pull those out of people and leave them to die." Looking at the huge castle build, Halle sighed. Looked at the other page, clearly figuring out how to lift the thing, and sighed again. "You can't carry this to space, not new as you are and by yourself. You don't have enough power for that... yet. You can maybe bring along one other person...and feel like you just ran a marathon after. This is just too much without something extra to boost you." Though why Novella wanted to bring the thing to space was a bit beyond Halle. It was a cool build, but couldn't he just build another up there? Or maybe materials and equipment would be an issue. It'd taken Halle a long time to gradually build up the supplies in his wonder after all.

"I expect they'd kill me before they'd kidnap me, I'm not worth anything to them." He left out the two times he'd already nearly been killed, no point in telling the other really, it wasn't something which could have anything done about it - it was in the past. It also wasn't any of the others buisness. "Sounds like a peaceful way to go, like dieing in your sleep." Better than other ways he figured, from the sound of it anyway, and if a person had to go it sounded like a good option if one had choices they could make in reguard to how they'd like to die.
He did however now know what that female had grabbed at...interesting name for whatever it was. A starseed.
"I can bring it, I'm sure of that, but I can't lift it." It was too big, even for himself. "I'll make it work." Because he was rather set in his ways and needed this to be safe. If he brought it home, somehow, it would be destroyed. He knew it wouldn't survive a single night, he didn't even think it'd make his room before it was sent crashing down the stairs along with himself likely. Someone would push, or pull, him down the stairs and send everything crashing down the stairs. It would be too tempting to someone, anyone, in his so called family.
"So you can leave, I'll handle this. I don't need to be told what I can't do." He didn't know the word can't, not when he didn't want to anyway.

This guy really hated to listen and seemed like he'd never heard of the word help at any point in his life. Crossing his arms, Halle leaned against the door. "Fine, you know best." The sarcasm was hard to keep out of his tone. "I'll stay, though. In case somebody else notices the power signature." He looked at the page expectantly, waiting for him to handle it.

Of course, of course they wouldn't leave. Because while he was certain he could get it to space he just...he couldn't lift it. This wasnt going to go his way was it.
Finally he looked from the castle to the other. "I don't need help in the teleporting...the lifting however." He'd admit to the help he did need, much as he didn't want to, he was realistic enough to admit to that at least...even if he did dislike it. This was the best the other knight would get from him, whether he knew it or not.

With a small smile, Halle straightened up and moved to the other side of the castle. Instead of commenting on his help being needed, he chose, instead, to offer some information that the other boy may find useful. "At each stage, my brother and I have tested the strength increases." He crouched and gripped the thing one way, then adjusted slightly to hold it more securely. "As a page, your strength is at about a twenty-five percent increase. That increase is based around your strength when you're not powered-up. So if you decide to start strength training in your spare time, the results will show when you're like this too." He readied himself to lift, "As a Knight, my strength is at a two and a half times increase." Halle paused and then added, "Are you sure you want to try taking it to your wonder? You could leave it at mine for now? Bringing this much up to your wonder right now might make you sick."

Strength training...really? That wasn't something he could do, that would mean going to a gym or spending time in the school gym, it was time away from his projects andcould even pose a money issue for him. He was on limited funds already, not that the other knew that of course, he wasn't about to mention the issues with that idea. Instead he nodded his head at the others words. It would be useful to gain in strength, he was certain of it, but what did he care abotu getting into fights and being stronger? He was fine how he was, he also didn't want to sacrifice his time on projects by going to the school gym, where he might encounter other people and be stuck in a small area with them.
"I'm sure." He'd deal with being sick if it brought this someplace safe...someplace that was his. There was a determination in him, in his eyes, because he didn't like the idea of leaving something like this somewhere that he couldn't acess whenever he wanted to. "I'm not leaving my things to other people." He didn't trust others, he'd learned not to, and it wasn't a dig at the other only it was just a general dig at everyone really. "I'll be fine." Because even if he wasn't fine he'd be fine, he'd get over it, he had learned how to sheer force of will things.
"Let's go." Moving to lift the castle as well, it really was heavy, he hadn't thought much about the weight of it when he'd been building it all. Next time he came to his wonder he'd need to bring things with himself so he could clean the place, as well as set the place up, he wasn't even sure what they'd be arriving at right now....but they'd find out.
"First time for everything." First time and he was going right for the deep end of the pool.
They had said he needed to focus right? He could remember that...and some of the rest of what the knight had said during that kidnapping event.

Halle took in the relative silence at the suggestion of training as soft no, which might be worse than his brother's very loud objections when it'd come up while they were pages. It's easy to argue with a loud no, it's a lot less so when they give you nothing at all. Well, hopefully this guy would think it over later, instead of being forced by the inevitable necessity. Quiet. Stubborn. Paranoid. Withdrawn. Overconfident to the point of being reckless. He was kind of a mess, but obviously not a bad person. Maybe a hurt person, though, which was a different set of potential problems. Halle would really need to watch over him. Lifting his end of the castle, Halle tried to support the majority of the weight himself. After seeing how wrecked Encke had been overextending himself that night, Santa Maria succeeding here might be worse than failing in the first place.

With the castles weight shifted, most of it being held by the other, he frowned for a moment before relaxing his features. He wanted to get u pto space, not stay down here, and up there on Ganymede was where he needed to be. It wasn't just a want it was a need, because he needed what it could offer him and what ie could become. He didn't know what was up there, hadn't been there before, but he knew he could make it into something he could love.
As he thought about it, about what Halle had told him in that house, and while he didn't remember the words they still came to him. And while they didn't pass his lips, not even in a whisper nor a mumble, he did repeat them over and over in his head before he felt something. It was startling and jarring, sudden, and the change was very dramatic and he did stumble. Catching himself he held tight to the load in his arms, his stomach churning and his head hurting. He felt light headed and dizzy and it felt like he might lose his stomach. Standing there, eyes closed, he took the time to breath thru it. His hands held to the castle as he worked himself through it, in and out through his nose as best he could.
Ok, so the other was right, he didn't feel so good. He wasn't going to verbally say it, even if it was obvious, he wasn't going to mention the cold sweat he felt as hisclothing clung to him. Nope, not a damn word from him. When he did open his eyes, finally, he didn't feel like he was going to puke and the room wasn't spinning. The light headedness was mostly passed...the headache however was not. But the room was long with wooden floors and counter tops on either side of them. Above the counter top, on his left side, was lots of wooden shelves with all manner of things...flowers made of fabric and more decorations. The issue was how destroyed by time they were, and the musty smell filling the place, the walls looked like they'd been painted some pale shade of spring green which wasn't the most unappealing color. The place was just falling apart and the window to his right, staring out towards the next building over, was closed and latched shut.
"Onto the counter top." Because that was the best place for the massive castle. The counter also was covered in decorations, feathers and flowers and sprigs of other things. Also, there were devices he didn't know the use of, ones used for hat making, this was a millanry.

Halle didn't say anything went the other stumbled, just tried to stabilize their burden as much as could as the other righted himself. Santa Maria didn't say anything either, and Halle could recognize someone needing to pause in order to figure out how to function through something when he saw it. So he waited, and if he said I told you so in his head? Well, the other clearly wasn't a mind-reader. Hopefully. It wasn't until they'd gotten the castle safely up onto the counter that Halle allowed himself to look away from Santa Maria and take in the surrounding area. "It's cool...some kind of workshop?"

"It would seem like it." Also looking around, as he took a seat on top of the work desk. He was hgoping it would handle his weight, as it seemed to be made from rather solid wood, the squire wasn't the smallest of people. Taller for his age than most he wasn't light, not that he was overweight he was just tall, even as slender in build as he was there was a weight to him. "I'm not certai nwhat sort of workshop."
Taking the time he needed, and ignoring the pounding headache, he finally got up off the desk and went to unlatch and open the window. He needed air and this place needed to lose some of the smell - it was horrendous. The fabrics which made up many decorations were eaten up by time, maybe also some bugs before time or something else got to them all, it would be a good idea to deal with the fabrics and remove them all at some point. But how and where to discard them all?
"We should leave." He'd be back, as soon as he could be anyway, the window which had only been opened for moments was closed again and latched for now. Turning to the other he stepped closer, keeping his steps measured. He should get home so he could grab something for this headache, because it really wasn't good.
