Hobbies:Hiking -- While Zayaan isn't exactly an outdoorsy person, he does enjoy hiking as a more solitary activity. He's never afraid to be alone, and there was something about walking down a path in the middle of nature, just him and the sounds around him, that creates a sense of tranquility that he wouldn't ordinarily get if he were at home or in office. He doesn't go hiking often but he usually tries to do it at least once a week.
Model Building -- Ever since he was little, Zayaan has had a fascination with building toy models. From older cars to Gundam, he has a room dedicated to the various models he's built over the years. The more complicated a model is, the more he enjoys building it. He has gone to the mall every once in a blue moon to the local anime shop and has come out with at least 1k worth of model kits. Its his most expensive hobby, but at the same time, his most prized one.
Anime -- This is a hobby that he doesn't exactly boast about. Every once in a blue moon, Zay likes to have anime binges, its the reason why he is subscribed to Crunchyroll, Netflix, AND Hulu. There are various animes that he watches at any given time and not every streaming service has all the things. His favorite anime so far has been the Faraway Paladin, Solo Leveling (he even branched out and read the manhwa), and Eminence in Shadow as his guilty pleasure. MushokuTensei is also a favorite of his. Isekai in general is his favorite genre followed by just general senien after.
Virtues: Hardworking -- Very much like his little sister Chi, Zay knows how work and stay on task. Its this type of drive that keeps him from burning out whenever he has to pull several all nighters at the hospital (something he has done more often than not.). This mentality is also what got him through the many years of school till he got his medical doctorate in pediatrics. Sometimes this type of mentality can lead him into trouble to where he works too much.
Patient -- This is something Zay has had to develop and its the reason why he is super good with his patents. He takes time to listen and sometimes when you work with children, that is all you need. There are times where he has to deal with patients that are more demanding than others and where any other medical professional would lose their top, Zay usually stays calm and tries to diffuse and listen the best way that he can. His mother has often said that he was just a reborn again saint. Zay refutes that with every fiber of his being and usually tends to roll his eyes whenever she says this.
Composed -- It doesn't matter what environment he is in, everyone can count on Zay to be the most level-headed person in the group (not that he goes out at all unless invited and even then its almost a grantee that he will say no). He's not the one people look to for decision making, but when you need some one that isn't easily intimidated or swayed, Zay would be your guy 100% of the time. Due to his calm nature, this has gotten him out of fights, or from being baited into saying something he shouldn't.
Flaws: Workaholic -- The downside to being so hardworking is the fact that Zayaan works too much. He can be so dedicated to his work that he will often forget things like eating or sleeping (hence the bags under his eyes). When he was staying closer to his family, his mother would often stop by just to make sure he was taking care of himself. Of course he has switched hospitals since then, but this is more apparent now more than ever, and he could care less. Zay enjoys working, he knows this means he doesn't have much of a social life, but he isn't really a social person to begin with.
Distant -- When it comes to close relationships, Zay could literally count on one hand, even then, no fingers would be held up. Because of his more solitary nature, he tends to keep a wall around him when it comes to getting close to others. Its not due to trauma or anything of the sort, its more due to the fact that he just never wanted to bother with it all. Because of this he isn't really close to anyone and this makes it even harder for others to get to know him and to break past that barrier. Even his family has difficulty sometimes with the exception of his two year old baby sister.
Sharp Tongue -- Let it be known that Zay will not hesitate to either put someone in their place or quickly come up with an insult to hurt their feelings. Whenever he finds himself in an argument or debate, he is quick to cut some one down with sharp words and a quick delivery. At work he has caused some parents to go home crying due to the quick delivery of his words. He does not do this willy nilly, but only if he is pressed to do so or there is someone or something that managed to get under his skin and past that barrier.
