Superheroes
xxxxxDanika grew up obsessed with comics, keeping a vast collection over the years that she maintains in well organized binders and cases, neatly tucked away in bookcases. The more personally important volumes are framed and hung up on the walls of her workroom, highlighting their clean conditions and her personal pride in them. Years later, she still loves comics and superheroes--she's got a ridiculous amount of Batman and Wonder Woman merchandise, clothing, accessories, some kitchen gadgets, purse, shoes…. the list goes on and on. While she's a bit less… blindly optimistic about the success and strength of superheroes in the real world, she appreciates the escapism into the fictional and will never stop loving the characters and stories that've made such heavy imprints on her life.
Clothing Design
xxxxxDanika's best friend is first and foremost, her dress mannequin, Charlie. That poor thing has been through countless pricks and pulls and heads untold amount of rants and frustrated huffs or energetic babbles from the seamstress. Dani loves fashion design. Drawing it out, shopping for fabrics and materials, learning new or old styles of patterns and stitching and how to work with different materials…. She'll happily tailor clothing for friends and family, or give heavy discounts on custom pieces (depending on how they ask…) when she's able. Never mind adjustments on her own clothing. And cosplays. While she no longer works in the fashion industry, Dani hasn't lost her love of it, and especially loves to take on cosplay jobs to flex her creation skills and nerd knowledge.
MMA
xxxxxA relatively more recent addition to her roster. Danika knows the value of being able to defend herself, and others. The bonus of being more physically fit from it, and that she takes classes at a gym where she can do other workouts, are just cherries on top. Danika might be less likely to pick fights now that she's older, but don't mistake that for the idea that she can't hold her own.
Kusari-fundo
xxxxxSolely because of her... well, her weapon as Themiscyra, Danika began to research methods of using a long, weighted chain weapon in fights. The main style she found, and subsequent classes was Kusari-fundo, a Japanese method that was taught in some self-defense classes using a length of chain (kusari) with a weight (fundo) at each end, also called a manriki. Most of these classes were from karate schools, which she certainly didn't mind dabbling in, but her interest with the chained weapon is... a pretty obvious one to anyone who sees her with the training, plastic version of the weapon.
Clothes:
Big part of her wardrobe is still DC-related stuff….. but the rest? She's got slacks and blouses from her time working in fashion houses and boutiques, blazers and sleek dresses to complement more formal and professional settings. She prefers cleaner, simpler looks accented with tasteful bracelets and necklaces, belts and earrings, and plenty of color with heels, flats, and boots. Off work, jeans and whatever's available are her go-to.
Scars
- ▹ Left wrist Pale semi-circles and random marks around the outside of her wrist near the bone on the back. Stretch from the back side of her hand down around the side of her wrist. Small, already starting to fade. Got them when she broke her wrist in October '13.
▹ Right elbow/forearm A jagged slash that starts an inch or so above her elbow and cuts almost diagonally around onto the top of her forearm. Stretches down around four inches or so along her forearm. Received from a fight against Captain Jarosite May '14
▹ Right side of abdomen A jagged slash just under her rib cage. Around four or five inches long. Received from a fight against Captain Jarosite May '14
▹ Right thigh A jagged slash that stretches from a few inches above her knee to the top swell of her thigh along the outside. A particularly deep gash, Danika maintained a slight limp from this wound for a little while. Received from a fight against Captain Jarosite May '14

- Resilient
xxxxxDanika's got her scars--physical, mental, emotional. She's got her trauma, her temper, her anger and fear. Yes, she's been the sort to lash out over the years, but she's begun to chill somewhat after experiencing losses and tragedies--some of her own making, some... not. That hasn't diminished her ability to just get back up. If anything, it's only strengthened her resolve to do so. Sure, she'll falter now and then, weigh options, put thought into the path she needs to take next, but she will get back up. Be it to keep going along the path she'd stumbled on in the first place, or finding a new route for herself, she won't let herself wallow and rip herself apart for the choices she's made. Not anymore, anyway. All she can do is keep getting up, keep moving forward, and if she really regrets things? Atone for them by her future actions.
Abstract
xxxxxShe's not really good with straight-forward planning. Never quite has been. Sure, she can appreciate direct routes to handle problems when others bring it up, but her own planning and approaches? Upbeat to the point of seeming damn near cavalier at times, and about as out of the box as she can make things. From refurbishing old furniture, to making cosplays, all the way to how to approach problems in her day-to-day life. She'll take the time to stop and consider the situation when she can, and try to look at the problem from every angle she can think of--all to get all the detail she can squeeze out of it, and from there? Get creative on how to best solve it. Not for a 'just because' reason, though. Dani's thought process wanders and weaves all over the place, and aware of this, she does what she can to get herself all the info possible, and let herself wander and weave all over the problem. Plus... it is kinda fun when people get surprised at the resolutions she can come up with.

xxxxxOnce she gets herself set on a target, on a problem, on a goal... few things can sway her. She'll take the time to consider all the possible approaches, gather as much info as she can, readjust her plans as needed... but Dani very rarely will let a project, a target, a grudge, go. She'll let things simmer in the background, but it'll always be held steadfast in her mind till she can push after it again. She'll achieve her goal, find her target, solve her problem, get payback and justice on her grudges, eventually. But she will do it. In her mind, failure's not an option. Careful what you put in Danika's path, she's a hound that won't let go.
Self-Sacrifice
xxxxxDanika knows she's tough. She knows what she's already survived, and after learning from it and training to improve herself... she's pretty confident in her knowledge of her limits, and what she'll absolutely make it through again. She rarely holds the same faith in others, though, especially the people she cares about. Sure, she can absolutely know how strong they are, how resilient they are, how skilled they are, how much more knowledgeable on the topic they are than she is... but a part of her still will make her linger around, just in case they miscalculated. She'll put herself into someone else's problem without hesitation, be it to help them shoulder the burden, get the job done when they've bitten off more than they can chew, or flat-out steamroll through the situation and take over herself to end things. Doesn't matter if she gets hurt. Doesn't count if she's outmatched. In her head, it's far better for her to be taking the brunt and loss of a situation, than those around her.

They are so filled with the spirit of war that taking damage invigorates them with a short surge of energy instead of slowing them down. While losing blood and breaking bones are still a danger to them, these Knights have been able to turn such things into motivation to keep fighting instead of reasons to stop.
