The show would kick off as the announcers would begin to get into the details of everything that happened since the last show, even addressing the time off the whole roster had received.
"But one thing did change, at the main event of Survivor Series. Omen would defend his championship against Drako Damone. The prior champion to Avari who had seen no singles failure up until he lost his championship. Success he would continue until he got back to the top as the challenger."
"This time against a different challenger that he had history with."
"Yes, the current World Champion Omen. And the two would cross paths at the main event of the show in what was speculated to be the match of the year, and it did not disappoint."
"But, a lot of people expected Drako to take the helm once more, but the night ended very different when Omen connected with a huge chokeslam and got the pinfall."
The commentary would then get cut off as the lights would shut off.
Welcome Back.
If Rain is What You Want - Slipknot
The once clear stage began to be hard to see as light would shine through the entrance tunnel and smoke would swallow the ramp and surrounding areas.
The eerie tones of Slipknot would be played, slowly building just like the smoke that became thicker.
Then, the World heavyweight Champion would emerge. Dark, worn rags would hang down along the entitys face and his extremities. Hard to make out any details of the man, even with the light shining on him. But there was one thing they saw easily, the World Heavyweight Championship that he would wear around his waist. A very contrasting color compared to the rest of his appearance.
"Introducing at this time, from Parts Unknown! The World Heavyweight Champion! OMEN!"
Omen would continue down the ramp, making it to ringside. Raising his head to stare among the people that surrounded the ring. The camera panning in on what they could make out of his face, past the mask that he wore. Catching the bloodshot and bloodthirsty eyes of a man who has been untouchable since his ascension.
Continuing onward, Omen would climb the steps, entering the ring over the top rope, and be met by a stage hand who would hand the Freak a microphone before exiting the ring immediately.
The theme of the champion would end, as well as the effects as it would leave just Omen in the center of the ring. When everything was looked at with a different point of view, this was a rare occasion. Anytime Omen spoke, it was usually within the comforts of his own. In small spaces or within the company of the CSS. Usually somewhere in the middle of the show. But this time, he was in front of the crowd, right at the beginning moments of the show, all by himself.
Omen raised the microphone, keeping his head somewhat lowered.
"At Survivor Series. I not only ended Drako Damone, but I ended the curse that Jarel had placed on me. I finally no longer have to wear the weight of the cross, knowing that I could not get the job done. Even better, this time I stepped up alone, and I proved my worth to myself. I truly am, a Freak."
He paused, dropping his head a bit further for a moment before raising his head back up and the microphone closer.
"So, now that I am unbound, entirely. At the Royal Rumble, Jay Blue Lightning, you have an uphill battle to climb. Over the last two years, I kept rising, and now I am physically and mentally at the top of the totem pole, and for the first time ever, you will have to look up and try to climb."
Omen's head raised as the strain began to build in Omen's voice.
"At the Royal Rumble. You will either reach a peak that has never been seen before, or you will fall. Just like the others, just like I had to in the past, before I truly became what I was meant to be. There will be blood, there will be weapons, anything and everything under the sun will be needed to keep me down. Like a younger man I told before, don't die on me. Because I will do whatever it is in my power to push you to your limits before I end the match."
Omen would grasp his throat for a second. Coughing for a moment before continuing.
"Tonight, I issue an open challenge during the main event for the World Heavyweight Championship. I don't care who comes forward, as long as they are willing to die to try and rip this championship out of my hands."
And with that, Omen would drop the microphone. Standing tall, facing the hard cam as the lights would dim and his theme kicking back on. Starting the show off with a bang as tonights main event will have an open challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship
