Solo 1

She was sure how old she was when she started but she sure liked to write. Nothing excited her more than when her Mom brought her fresh supply of pen and ink so she could play in the literary worlds she created. It was so fun. She would be a warrior and an author one day. She would write stories about her sisters under aisha and stories about the earthlings that roamed the land and the Kahi's that roamed the waters.

Life was quite fascinating and she looked at it all through incredibly young and curious eyes. Her mother and grandmothers took wonderful care of her and she was free to explore around. She had two good friends that rarely left her side and they decided they would form a sort of troupe and stay together throughout their warrior training and be warrior sisters together. How wonderful. Friends for life, she was so lucky. Their names were Suru and Naia and they had been bonded to her nearly from the start. They didn't mind her pale markings or her red hair, they were her besties and she wouldn't trade them for the world. At least she had peeps who had her back, though she didn't get teased as much as her mother did, she looked pretty alikidike so she thought that might be the thing that and the sisters were a bit more used to hybrids like her now. She wondered how long it would be before the other trees matured as hers was. Mother Aisha, she loved her goddess so much. She blessed the very air they breathed and Aisling had been created to experience it, experience life to the fullest!

And then she would write it down so she could create stories and relive that moment again and again, immortalized on paper. Ugh it was such a beautiful system. The other thing she liked to do was garden and she would often paint the flowers that popped up in their massive garden. It was something they all enjoyed doing together as a family. Her life was truly blessed. She enjoyed helping in the garden. Growing things brought her closer to mother Aisha she felt and she loved that there were new little changes each day. From new leaves to buds to flowers and fruit there was always something happening, always something to bring a new flash of joy and if not then it was a learning experience and to be tried again. Sometimes things will wilt or die and there was nothing she or her Mother could do about it. It was a fact of life and well there wasn't a plant type elementalist around their vacinity. Her mother split her time between her, the forge and the garden.

Aisling was starting to get obsessed with tea, it went well with both writing and gardening and she had been shown how to grow it and how to harvest the leaves and then dry them. She raised certain flowers too to go with the dried leaves for a little extra pizzaz. She really loved the whole process as labor intensive as it could be. And she was extra proud when she was able to drink a mix grown and processed completely by herself. She made little tea packs for her friends, packed some good reading recommendations in there and gave them as gifts on the regular.

Solo 2

A bright blue sky greeted her and she was filled with a wild kind of hope. Something felt strange and different today and she just couldn't put her finger on what it was. Hoping they would inspire her she found Naia and Suru, her fellow young daughters of Aisha.

"Maybe its a sign from Aisha you feel." Suru imparted.

"Thanks, maybe you are right, I'm not sure how to find out, maybe I will toss the knuckle bones. Since I don't dare go to an actual priestess." They were scary ladies in her opinion. And they were the most respected in their society perhaps with the exception of some of the best warriors and most decorated elders but Aisling found them intimidating and didn't want the stress of any of them potentially looking askance at her hair and markings which she proudly bore from her Mom Saoirse the blacksmith. Her Mom was still young and mostly kept to herself and her few alk friends. Aisling saw why her Mom had wanted her so bad. Aisling fit in better but her Mama was her favorite person in the world and thus Sao had increased her team by one and gained a daughter a most sacred thing.

Now to solve her own mystery. If it was a blessing from Aisha, then what sort of message was it meant to carry? She pondered that for a long time, shooting ideas back and forth with Suru and Naia.

Naia was a bit vain and could at times be superficial. Suru had a sharp wit and was blunt and too the point. Aisling was the deep thinker and together they sort of covered all the bases. It help that there were three of them and that any decision they made was either a three way split or someone chose one side or another. This made them very democratic in their own unique way. Though not always did they all agree. There were times where each tried to do it their own way whatever it was and that just proved that they were better usually when they worked together.

She prayed and then she went for a walk with them, trying to find a source for the light hearted feeling infecting her. But alas a walk with her best friends on a sunny day with flowers out and about as it was in fact spring had the same sort of affect that the supposed blessing did.

"Maybe I was just destined to have a good day today? What do you two think?"

The other two girls nodded in agreement. They went and bought new books and got a special blend of fruit juice that they all enjoyed. Overall it ended up just being a good day full of hopes, dreams and good feels.

Solo 3
Aisling was at the botanical park, it was a full moon that night, which meant that her family would be having a good old fashioned fire night. She loved campfire nights. It was usually her Mom, herself and her two grandmas who would rearrange schedules to do this instead of whatever else had been going on in their lives. They would roast all their food and take turns telling stories. Even she ha some stories to tell on some nights. Of cours ethe elders always seemed to have better stories.

But as they always ended up telling her, they simply had more experience than her too. She didn't much like that answer but it was the honest truth. There was no denying that her favorite stories were the ones about far off places. She especially liked to hear about her Elarian grandmother who looked so much like her mother with a few marked differences. As well as any of the stories from her mother's travels in Matori and Oba. She had seen two Obans and a few Matorians, most of them coming to the tree to pray for a child with their significant other when she and her mother were at the mixed villages. Aisling was afraid her eyes got big like saucers and lit with unholy curiousity. They were so short and colorful. So different from her people and yet able to have kids with them. Aisha must be super magical. She liked to collect things from the two cultures respectively. Her mother had gotten her a book on their history and Aisling had memorized a few of the details.

There were many others that came to Jauhar and their overall territory but none fascinated her so much as Oba and Matori and their people. She would have been fascinated with Zena too, but she never wanted to go anywhere remotely that cold on purpose. The cold made her feelers droop which was no fun at all and she preferred to have warm fingers for crafting and such.

She helped put some of the plants raised inside during the more stormy weather, so that they could have more room for their roots and start the indoor outdoor dance called hardening off.

She wondered what the stories would be around the campfire tonight. Her mind often wandered off as she worked. She didn't have any exciting stories herself this time which was of course no fun at all. She needed to get out more. She would drag Suru and Naia for walks and they would at least see things that way. Well as far as they were allowed to go which wasn't all that far. Bah.

One day they would be prentices and able to travel on their own should they chose, though she still hoped her mother would come with them, no one was brave enough to mess with her mother who didn't look quite like anyone else, though there were a few other hybrids of her type. Come to think of it not many people looked remotely like herself either. She liked being unique but she hoped there were be more like her soon.

Solo 4

She and Suru were on the very outskirts of the village foraging for mushrooms for their families dinner. It was the foraging heavy part of the season with berries coming in droves. Unfortunately it was creepy giant spider season too and she really was not looking forward to facing any menzuri. They were told always to keep an eye out just in case as this was an aggressive and hungry time of the year for them. Gross. They had the snaptrotter with them for protection but a menzuri web would be a problem even with the large snaptrotter unless it could get a proper chomp on the web and do a head shake that was usually powerful enough. Hopefully they wouldn't be a problem today. She certainly wasn't worried about it. She was more of a live in the moment sister after all.

Suru called out to her as she had found a rather large patch of edible mushrooms to harvest. Aisling hurried over to help her best friend. Naia was cool too but she was much closer to Suru who felt like a real sister to her despite her pure blood heritage. Though her friends never ever teased her for her pale markings or her red hair. She treated them like gold because that was how they treated her. Despite the odd juvenile spat that sometimes came up between the three as was apt to happen to almost anyone. She didn't hold it against the other girls and so far no fight had been big enough to split them apart thankfully. It would be really hard to have a serious risk between her or between the two of her friends. They were the closest people to her beisides her mom and grandmas. She was fortunate to have such a big family she thought.

The mushroom sacks were getting full.

"I think we have enough for now, maybe we should head back. I have a quesy feeling that something creepy is watching us. The girls moved off without much issue and were able to make it home with their big bag of mushrooms. Ais's mother told her that it was very good that she listened to her instincts and that she could sometimes pick up intuitively on things she couldn't see well.

Solo 5

She felt quite energetic today and decided to go on a grand adventure. She saddled up her snaptrotter and promised to stay within the bounds that her mother had set for her in the woods around her forge. But as she looked up the long trail she decided to just push the boundaries a little bit and see what it was there was out there to see.

Perhaps it was rash for someone so young but she had warrior bloodlines to an extent it should be expected for her to the break the rules and change her destiny as she saw fit. The decision gave her a heady sense of freedom and she was lost then to the ferality of the jungle and the strength of her beast. As she rode she imagined flashes of herself as an older woman, riding her faithful snaptrotter into all kinds of situations in which she was the conquering hero. She would slay! She would conquer those who stood in her way for what she wanted (what that was she wasn't sure yet.) Her mother said she was reading too much huh? Well she wasn't reading now was she. This was the birth of a rebel warrior princess and the jungle would shudder with fear when she was finally released upon it. To watch it, to guard it against those who didn't understand it and would harm it. Foolish outsiders that they were, always cutting and pillaging. She had heard the old stories of how the forests had been raided during the Oban war and how a few refuges had seen the error of their ways, for a short time these people had naturalized but it all seemed to have happened far back in the past when she hadn't existed yet. She liked to hear the stories said around the campfires at night but her mother warned her not to believe in everything that was said as some stories got embellished over time.

She trotted further away from home than she had ever gone before, imagining a mighty spear in her hand and feeling the connection she always had with the forest around her spread just that much further. Oh she had never met that tree before! What secret trysts had it witnessed in its nearly 300 years alive. The behemoths of the deeper jungle were small dieties of their own in her eyes. Connected below the ground with fungal networks these trees would comminicate through chemicals released and fed each other with neccessary nutrients. It was a marvel. It was sort of like how community worked. Her family traded amiably with other famiies in the area. That was how they got meat that they had not hunted or meat from far off areas as well as spices. Fruit they mostly picked themselves as their home was quite close to a grove.

She wandered further and further from home. Some of the sisters she saw gave her a bit of side eye but as she had a pouch they assumed then that she was on an important errand and capable for a youngling. They also would assume she was not going too far maybe to a neighbor down the road perhaps. She would have a bit of time to deke off into the bush and continue on her way. She wasn't sure what she was looking for out here but it wasn't an oban alk boy named Invidian who was nearby because his parents were praying for another child. From high up on the snaptrotter's back Aisling looked on at him in a sort of fascination.

"You arn't from around these parts are you? Don't worry she won't hurt you. I just well I wanted to know more about you, but I see now that that is more of an intrusion than not." She shook her head and toed her mount around. The boy had seemed painfully shy upon introducing himself after she had shared her name and well she wouldn't want to make anyone uncomfortable. So she rode home. Just in time not to get in trouble too.

Solo 6
Aisling was bored. Her mom sent her off to the book store near their house with some coin to cure it. Her mama was the best and spared no expense on new reading material. For which Aisling was forever grateful. It was so nice to escape into other realities for a while. Particularly those other realities that came from other people than the alks. She loved the Elarian books and many other things. Maybe like so few of her sisters she too would write books on the side of being a warrior woman. She was relatively sure that she would chose to be a guardian when the time came but she still had plenty of time to be sure. It didn't do to rush this things.

After all it was sort of a permanent choice. She could of course chose to be a blacksmith but something about the fight called to her, about using all of her smarts and cunning and her future power against another female. She was fierce and would become only fiercer with age. Naia in fact might be the groups blacksmith saying that her personality was leaning that way. Aisling didn't mind that her friend didn't want to be a warrior in fact she would be okay if both Naia and Suru made fine weapons, she would have the very best weapons at all times if they did. She had told both of them that the most important thing was actually to chose what they really wanted to do. Anywho this was just her preliminary thoughts on the issue.

More to the point she had arrived at the book store and swaggerd in like she belonged there. If there was one thing that Saoirse had given her daughter it was her confidence in everything she did. Her mother had taught her self defense early just in case she got pushed around by the more aggressive, young (dumb), sisters. Most were really good but there were a few bad fruits in every grove and it was best to prune them from the tree than to let them bear seed. Which was what her mother had told her and Aisling supposed she understood. Put on a good show, maybe correct bullies who thought they could push you around and then freely move on with your life knowing that they would no longer bug you.

She had been pretty fortunate though and had as of yet never had to use those self defense lessons which she preferred. She wanted to fight others based on her skill level and respect not petty jealousies and grievances that didn't amount to real problems or issues. It was a good philosophy.

She used all her coin at the bookstore and came home with four fat books ripe for the reading. She climbed the tree in the back yard and sighed with joy to enjoy the first selected novel. Again upgrading her mind and its openess for another days problems.
