The infirmary that had housed Faustite was the only place Fafnir could think to take his brother. He jumped straight from the battlefield to the main waiting area, barking out a command for assistance as he moved to an unoccupied bed. The nurse at the front desk took one look at his face and rushed off, probably to find someone more senior to deal with the two of them. A newly upgraded Captain, she didn't have the authority to stop Fafnir from doing as he pleased, which was to put his recovered brother down gently on the bed and begin to inspect him, head to foot.
"Its okay, you're safe now." He said as he passed his hands over Aelius's hair and the sides of his face, hissing at the damage that yellow b***h had done when she released him. "Are you hurt anywhere else?"
Step one, deal with injuries. Make sure there was nothing life-threatening going on, and address anything that needed addressing. He burned with questions, each piling up on top of the last, but first thing was first. He would get them out, but he had to keep control. Do this right. Find out what those soon-to-be-dead skanks had done to their captive.
"I'm sorry it took so long to find you..." Fafnir couldn't keep those words from leaving his lips, much as he tried to stuff them back down. "I tried so hard... I looked everywhere. The whole team was looking... I refused to believe that you'd been... Faustite couldn't summon you, so we knew you had to have been captured."

He was disoriented as he squinted against the bright lights of the hospital. Stuck in that dark room with such a small lamp, the hospital's unyielding overhead lights were almost painful. Fafnir was also moving with haste. Aelius barely managed to tell his brother about his pen before whisking Aelius away. Now there were sounds and people talking and even raised voices.
Finally things stopped moving and sounds calmed down as he was carefuly, oh so carefully, placed on a warm and soft bed. Fafnir was right there, taking up his entire vision as he fussed and asked questions. Fafnir's warm hands felt wonderful against the side of his face with their warmth. "At this point every part of me hurt." He admitted. "My face, head, ribs, wrists, ankles..."He could have kept going but figured his brother go the idea.
Fafnir was so engrossed in making sure Aelius was alright, that the restraints on his wrists and ankles kept him from moving properly. Kept him in place for his brother to fuss over as threats and curses were uttered against those who had been Aelius's captors.
Gods the torment. Aelius could see it there. The worry the utter fear that seemed to still hold the man even in his rage. "You would have had to luck to find me. There was nothing to lead you.
"Gods I can't tell you how happy I was to see you. I am so sorry." He din't know what else to say. He was overwhelmed with so much extreme relief being one of them. A heavy weariness was beginning to blanket him as the high of his adrenaline began to fade off slowly.
He was safe. Safe. Tears welled as he leaned into his brother's touch.

The tears nearly did him in.
"You don't have anything to be sorry for." Fafnir said, his voice rough and thick. He brushed the tears away with his thumbs before running his hands down his brother's arms, checking for injuries. The restraints at his wrists were a new thing to be angry about, but he knew better than to try to remove them when both of them were in this state. Aelius didn't need to be hurt any worse than he was, even if all he wanted was to rip it apart with his own hands.
"Someone get in here with something to cut with!" The eternal roared as he turned to shout over his shoulder. Damn senshi powers... damn his senshi starseed. So many things in his life would have been easier, better, if he'd been an officer instead. Like having something sharp to cut the ******** ropes around his brother's wrists.
He pushed down his anger as he turned back, smoothing over it like he smoothed over everything else in his life.
"We're going to get you looked over, make sure anything serious is taken care of, and then I'm going to take you home. My home, your home, wherever you want, ok?"
Fafnir had so many questions, but how much of it could he press his brother for right now? Should he even do that? Maybe better after he'd had some sleep and some food, gotten cleaned up... felt safe enough to talk about what had happened.
