Roman is the first child of Everett and Winter Drayer, born at Temple University's maternity hospital. Both of Roman's parents were professional Quidditch players, however Winter retired after she discovered she was pregnant with Roman. He was raised living in a Muggle community in Philly and enjoyed all the trappings of Muggle life. When he was five, his sister Celeste was born. He had a magical show when he was eight years old and he fell from a tree in his neighborhood park. Roman wound up hovering about a foot from the ground.

xxxRoman attended Salem Institute and was sorted into Lynx house. He made a bunch of friends and tried out for Quidditch, but only made it to the practice team despite his father being a professional player. But Roman didn't mind, since it gave him more time to practice his music too.
xxxSecond year he did make the main team and he played a pretty good year as a beater. Around the middle of the year though, he learned that next year he wouldn't be attending Salem anymore. His father had been offered a position on a team in the UK league and it was a much better paying position. At the end of the year, he bid farewell to his friends and then they moved overseas to Falmouth in the UK.
xxxHis first year at Hogwarts didn't go terribly, he guessed. Slytherin house was pretty chill and he tried out for their Quidditch team. Even though he'd previously played at Salem, he got benched again, but he was just happy to play in practice. He joined some clubs and even got to play his music on stage for a performance.
xxxDuring the summer, Roman spent some time hanging out with his dad and the Falmouth Falcons, getting pointers from the pros. When school started up again, Roman tried out for beater again and made first string this time. He'd go on to score several hits and help his team make the Quidditch Cup for the year. After the announcement of the Flower Dance in the spring semester, Roman asked Erykah Barlow to the dance.
