Drink Name: Grinch punch
Recipe:

One year looong ago I had come across a recipe for grinch punch (before Grinch became popular again, and wow there's a lot of way better recipes out there now). We also improvised a bit.

Vanilla Ice Cream
Lemon Lime Soda
Green Food Coloring

And all you do is put some ice cream in your cup and add as much soda as you prefer. Then it gets nice and frothy (it is a float after all), and you add a few drops of green food coloring for the grinchy-ness.

It's definitely not my favorite holiday drink (raspberry cocoa is but I usually do premade mixes) BUT it was definitely my favorite drink to MAKE. We had a blast making these simple drinks.

Maybe next time we'll try it with cream soda instead!

Preferences: Cocoa, Tipple
Drink Name: Crem de Vi (Cuban Eggnog)
Recipe: 1c. simple syrup
1 can evaporated milk
1 can condensed milk
6 egg yolks
cinnamon to taste

All of that goes into a blender and you blend it until it's well mixed.
You can add rum or whatever you might like if you want a boozy version, but I think it's just fine without.

It's a *very* sweet drink, but you can modify it a little by making a simple syrup from sugar substitute, etc.

Enjoy!

Preferences: Cocoa, Tipple
Drink Name: Sweet n Spicy
Recipe:

This recipe is basically eyeing the amount, there is no measurements. My grandmother used to make this when I was a kid. It is her hot cocoa.

Milk
Cocoa Powder
Cinnamon [sticks you will grate in]
Vanilla Extract
Cayenne
Bakers Chocolate [you will grate in]

Marshmallows Toasted
Powdered Sugar

Optional Toppings:

Peppermint
Gingerbread Cookies

I was an oddball still am, I added butterscotch discs candy to mine still do.

You bring the milk, cocoa powder to a boil. Slowly add in the cinnamon, vanilla and cayenne. Stir til well blended then add the chocolate and whisk til its completely melted. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, while that is simmering you can toast the marshmallows over the stove top to get them nice ang golden brown.

Once simmered and its nice and hot, you pour into mugs and you can add the powdered sugar to the top with the marshmallows and/or the peppermint and gingerbread cookies.

Sometimes we used candy canes to stir the cocoa and give it the peppermint flavor.

MY FAVOURITE HOLIDAY DRINK
Username: belloblossom
Preferences: Cocoa, Tipple
Drink Name: Boozy Peppermint Cocoa
Recipe: This is usually a drink I go out to get, rather than make at home, so I don't know the exact recipe beyond there being hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps in it. However, this seems to be a common enough recipe and after some hunting, the following seems to be the best I could find:

- 3 tablespoons Cocoa Powder
- 2 cups 2% Milk
- 3 tablespoons Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 pinch Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Semi Sweet OR dark chocolate chips
- 2 ounces Peppermint Schnapps (30 or 60 proof)
- Whipped Cream
(Optional) - Crushed peppermint candies to top

Instructions: Place a saucepan over medium heat. Add the cocoa powder and ¼ cup of the milk and whisk until the cocoa powder is mostly integrated. Whisk in the remaining milk until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and heat over medium heat until the chocolate is melted, about 2 minutes. Do not boil. Stir in the schnapps. Serve immediately, garnished with whipped cream and peppermint candies.

MY FAVOURITE HOLIDAY DRINK

Preferences: cocoa, tipple
Drink Name: mistletoe margarita
Recipe:

How To Make Mistletoe Margaritas
INGREDIENTS
Cranberries: I create sugared cranberries with fresh lime juice and sugar—they’re so easy to make, and add the most adorable garnish.
Lime: Fresh lime juice is used in multiple ways here: in our cocktail, on the sugared cranberries, and on the rim.
Sugar & Salt: I like to create a sugar and salt rim for these margaritas, but if you’re all about the sugar, you can skip the salt.
Cranberry Juice: This is what adds that holiday flair to our cocktail. If you prefer a sweeter drink, go for a cranberry juice cocktail instead.
Silver Tequila: Use your favorite silver tequila, or consult our list of the best tequila brands.
Triple Sec: I use simple & reliable triple sec in these margaritas, but if you have a preferred Cointreau you’d like to use, feel free to swap it out!
Ice: Adjust the amount of ice based on how frozen you like your margarita. If you want it on the rocks, skip blending with the ice.
Mint: Some fresh mint really completes the holiday and mistletoe vibes, but you can skip it if you don’t have any.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
First, we’ll create our sugared cranberries by squeezing fresh lime juice over the cranberries. Then, drain the extra lime juice, and add on the granulated sugar. Toss to coat them well, then add to a baking sheet to dry.

Then, we’ll create our rim by combining sugar and salt on a shallow plate. Then, use a lime wedge to coat the rim of each glass, then dip in the sugar-salt mixture.

Now, our cocktail is as easy as combining all of our ingredients in a blender, and blending! Depending on the size of your blender, keep in mind that you may want to blend in batches. Blend with the ice until your mixture is smooth.

Once the texture is to your liking, pour into your glasses, then garish with a sprig of mint and your prepared sugared cranberries.

MY FAVOURITE HOLIDAY DRINK
Username: SpaceDadDisapproves
Preferences: Cocoa, Tipple
Drink Name: Hot Spiced Cider
Recipe:

This is from the D&D cookbook, Heroes Feast, but I enjoy it. The recipe is as follows -

Ingredients - Serves 4

1 Large Orange
8 Whole Cloves
1 teaspoon whole allspice berries, coarsely crushed
2 cinnamon sticks
3 cups apple cider or unfiltered apple juice
2 cups pure cranberry juice
3 tablespoons light brown sugar, or as needed
Pinch of kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Fresh cranberries for garnish (optional)

Directions -

Using a vegetable peeler, remove the zest from the orange in wide strips; reserve one strip for each drink and refrigerate, covered, until serving time. Stick the cloves into two or three of the remaining zest strips and set aside (Reserve the orange for another use).

In a large saucepan over medium heat, warm the allspice and cinnamon sticks, stirring, until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and carefully add the cider (it will sputter vigorously), cranberry juice, brown sugar, and the clove-studded orange zest strips. Adjust the heat to medium-high and bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve the brown sugar. Adjust the heat to medium-low and simmer, partially covered and stirring occasionally, to infuse the cider mixture, about 20 minutes. Cover the pot completely, remove from the heat, and let steep for 20 minutes more.

Set a fine-mesh strainer over a large heatproof bowl. Pour in the cider, discard the solids, and return the mixture to the saucepan. Over medium heat, return the cider to a simmer. Add the vanilla, stir, taste, and adjust the seasoning with additional brown sugar, if necessary.

Fill one small mug or heatproof glass for each drinker with hot water to preheat them, about 2 minutes. Empty the mugs/glasses, ladle some cider into each, garnish with one of the reserved orange zest strips and a couple cranberries (if using), and serve at once.
