Melpomene was waiting for Aloysius in an alleyway next to the building where his fiance was presently, with two people whom he’d just corrupted. He knew his fiance would need him in order to get home, corrupting for the Negaverse took a lot out of its officers, the eternal was just worried about his partner being caught by someone meeting with him. He knew Aloysius was careful though, and he did his best as well, so it would have to be enough tonight as Desiree was back home at the manor.
Leaning against the wall the black feathered wings he had were pressed to the bricks behind him, a burner phone in his hand, the glow of his phone lighting up his face as he looked over his text messages with his partner. He’d be out soon - good.
Tilting his head, a smile playing about his features, the eternal couldn’t wait to get home so he could power down and get his partner to bed. Aloysius would need some sleep after corrupting two people, he knew it, and he’d be making sure they got the rest they needed after bringing two new agents in. He’d learn more about them in the morning, over breakfast.

Aloysius had to lean against the wall as the elevator took him down from the apartment his newest recruits lived in. Walking proved difficult and he felt like he was about to pass out. Maybe he should have stayed there to rest for a bit… but he’d already called for his fiancé to get him.
His eyes drooped for a moment until the elevator dinged and the doors opened to let him out. Keeping a hand on the wall when he could, he slowly made it outside and leaned against the wall for a moment. Checking his phone, he saw a message saying they were here and close. There was a mirror in one of the alleys that he knew, and so he carefully wandered over. His shuffling and slow steps would leave people thinking he was a drunk trying to find a place to piss with how late it was and it would keep people from giving him a second glance.
Rounding the corner after a few more glances to check if he wasn’t being watched, he smiled weakly at his fiancé. “Darling, thank you. I… may have overdone it.” He couldn’t even power up now if he wanted to, he felt tapped out of energy.
Stepping forward, he leaned into them, sagging slightly from how tired he was. “It went well, though I nearly passed out after the second one. It was… odd. Powering down without really intending to.” Whispering in the blonde’s ear as he rested his head on Melpomene’s shoulder. “Home please, I am… so very tired.” And he sounded it too, but at least he wouldn’t have to walk there or figure some other way to get home.

“May have?” He questioned with a raised brow, pushing off the wall and walking over to embrace the other. “You know you did, if you were the sort to have an ego I’d say you were doing it to show off and prove you could do it.” A peck to the other's cheek as he held the taller male close. “But you’ve no ego that I’ve seen. So I’ll say you just did it because you thought it best.” For them, of course, because it obviously was not the best for him.
”I’m taking it you used up enough energy to force a power down…I know that’s possible but I know it takes a lot of energy used to reach that point.” And he’d managed to do it. Rolling his eyes he pet the others hair, ruffling his bangs. “Alright, stay with me long enough to reach the mirror. I can’t carry you.” It wasn’t a matter of the other being too heavy, though he was at a better weight now, it was how tall he was - it would be too awkward.
“When you get home - bed. You are going to sleep, worry about a shower in the morning, I don’t think you could manage a shower without falling asleep standing up.” And he wasn’t going to suggest a bath because there was no safe way to get his partner out of the tub if he fell asleep.

He chuckled slightly. He wanted to say they were wrong, but it was fine. He hadn’t considered it might be something he couldn’t handle, but then again, they didn’t see that as his ego when he just dealt with things or took on all sorts of new projects. “I think it will work out; one of them reminds me a bit of you.” Even if he had to choose his actions carefully to avoid getting knocked out by the rather protective and tense man.
Straightening up a bit with their help he nodded because as much as he liked the thought of being carried he knew it wasn’t something easy and it would draw more attention than he wanted. “I think it was exactly that, plus it was difficult to focus with the other so tense.” But everything had worked out and he now had two more recruits to fill out his team alongside the corrupt senshi he’d brought in as well. A nice little bunch of young individuals to help with his plans, even if most of them he was keeping hidden from them and even Liam or Desiree.
“True, bed first then breakfast and a bath.” Leaning his head on them as they both made it towards the mirror, he had a lot to consider now that he had so many to watch over.

“Oh? Should I worry?” He questioned, teasing his fiance, Melpomene was confident in their relationship. He was confident enough to tease his partner about such things, about someone replacing him, because he knew it would never happen. They had been through too much, and really it hadn’t even been that long if he thought about it, so much had happened and they’d made it. It was still so very odd how they’d even round up together, just a matter of chance and his persistence.
“I do hope they managed to relax before you brought them in. I know corrupting for your side can be painful. I’d imagine it’d be easier if someone were more relaxed.” Though he could be wrong, he wasn’t familiar with such things. He’d never even had his starseed grabbed much less had energy pushed into it. It was a whole lot easier for his faction, and he was glad for it.
Walking towards the mirror, supporting his partner's weight, the eternal was in no rush to move them to the mirror. When they did reach it he pushed through as he took the other with him. “Yes, that sounds like the right arrangement of things.” Because he wasn’t going to really allow for any other order of things to take place. Stepping into the manor Melpomene powered down as soon as he could while still holding onto his partner. “Alright, let’s get you to bed. Did you want tea before bed?” Tea could always come first - if the other wanted it.

“Of course not.” Teasing them back even if he was tired. The shuffle through the mirror sent a shiver through him, more so than when he was powered up.
“The first one was… extremely excited for the prospect of it all, the second one warmed up to things after the first proved to be okay after I brought her in.” Smiling a bit, he could understand it even if he hadn’t liked that thought he was one misstep from getting attacked. It would have been embarrassing to be downed by that man as a general.
“I like to think I am a bit gentler than others at it and it seems to have proven true yet again.” Which made him feel better at the whole matter, knowing that the process wasn’t pain-free.
“Bed is fine, maybe tea but mainly bed.” He could feel his steps dragging more as he walked, feeling that sluggishness from how drained he was. It had been a busy few weeks of bringing in more people on top of this matter he was trying to figure out, one that he would have to work with his partner to approach his sister over. Things always went over much more smoothly with her when his partner was involved.

“You didn’t tell me…are they friends or what is their relationship?” He questioned, wondering if Aloysius even knew the answer to that. He didn’t know, that was for certain, but at least it seemed the two had each other and would no doubt train together. It meant someone would always have the others back, a good thing when fights did break out. Thankfully Aloysius had him to cover his back, even if it did make him enemies on one side or the other. He’d earned his wings and could hold his own if someone came for him due to his relation to the general.
“That’s good, but I’m not surprised by that either. I’ve never really seen you in a battle, not the big ones, but I still can’t picture you fighting.” Distance or otherwise, not really, it didn’t mesh so well with the others personality. Liam avoided the big battles, or rather he had, things would change when Aloysius got involved in big fights he would follow.
“Alright, why don’t I get you into bed and I’ll get you tea and bring it up to you.” It would be easier that way, they could leave a tea cup on a table in the bedroom and deal with it in the morning. Normally he’d be neater, and make sure it was in the sink soon after being emptied, but Aloysius needed sleep and he wouldn’t mind a hot shower personally. Handling the others' waist Liam steered his fiance towards their shared bedroom, an arm about the other's waist as they walked. “Almost there, then you can sleep love.”

“I believe a relationship… especially if the rather... well uncouth joking meant things.” Shaking his head slightly as a bit of color flooded his cheeks. It wasn’t something he wanted to bring up right now. At least not as they helped him up the stairs and towards their room.
“Darling, you did see me fight against Alexandre and then up in the museum but then again… we did spar as well but I did want to avoid hurting you back then as a super.” With another shake of his head, he didn’t want to bring up how he’d gotten rid of that senshi that had nearly killed his fiancé. “I am glad you think of me that way, I prefer it that way.” He didn’t like to fight, he preferred to talk and twist things to get people to give him information or things he needed. But he didn’t need to do that with Liam, he didn’t need to hide most things from them even if he still did with some things out of habit.
Once they made it to the room, he sloughed off his layers of clothing onto the floor lazily before pulling the silk ribbon from his hair to let it loose. “Sleep is well deserved tonight, especially after the work I did.” Turning to face Liam as he sat back on the bed in his boxers, he yawned and ran a hand through his bangs to push them out of his face a bit. “No alarm for tomorrow, I want to sleep in if you are okay with that?”
Now that he was sitting and able to relax a bit more, he felt a little bit of energy coming back. Sleep would still happen but tea might also happen instead of him passing out while the other made it. “They will do well since they can look out for each other much as you look out for me darling.” The smile on his face was light and warm as he reached up to brush his fingers over Liam’s cheek.

Rolling his eyes at his partners decision to use the word uncouth. “And what person our age uses the word uncouth?” He questioned, teasing as he was, he raised a brow at the other. “Though I do get the point, the jokes were naughty.” He said shaking his head a bit, silently laughing as he looked his partner over. “Yes, but the fight with the other general looked less serious than I imagine a real fight - with a senshi or a knight would be. Space was a bit…busy even for me. But I did see you shooting from in the air. The other one was a rather quick kill. I don’t see you as being as ruthless as that other general - Benitoite.” He was small, far smaller than Aloysius was, but seemed to radiate danger and it made him seem larger than he was. He wouldn’t want to be an order senshi in a fight with him, Liam doubted it would end well for the senshi.
“You act as though I’d complain about you wanting to sleep in.” A shake of his head as Liam stripped down slowly, leaning into his partner's touch as he leaned down to make things easier. “Tea or don’t think you can stay awake to wait for it?” Turning his head just enough to press his lips to the other's palm. “I can run down and make a cup if you think you’ll manage to keep awake long enough.”

“Shush.” Giving them a look as they teased over his word choice. Sure some of the words he used as well as his way of speaking may be a bit outdated but that came from being closer to his grandparents than his parents he figured.
Looking his partner over as they stripped he shook his head. “I figured you would complain about me sleeping so long I skipped breakfast.” Such as he tended to do when he was drained from all the things he piled onto his plate. It didn’t happen as often, Liam didn’t really let it, but old habits were hard to break sometimes.
“In the morning then, tea and breakfast. Then I can tell you about the two.” Yawning slightly as he scooted back on the bed to get under the blankets. Once he was laying down it was harder to keep his eyes open as he got comfortable and looked for his partner to follow. Rolling over to face his nightstand, he put his contacts in their case and laid back down. The last thing he needed was to leave them in and wake up with one having moved and gone behind his eye. Even if Liam preferred not to wear his glasses, he didn’t really enjoy the added hassle and risks with his lines of work and their effect on contacts.

“I don’t mind, I understand needing to sleep especially from this. If it’s because you're doing too much work…then I have an issue. You should do less and not run yourself down - it’s not healthy. This is different.” One was just burning yourself out and leaving yourself vulnerable to sickness while the other was simply using too much energy all in one short period of time. “I’ll make breakfast when you get up.” It wasn’t that hard, he liked cooking anyway, since he worked from home mostly he’d be able to cook for his partner whenever Aloysius dragged himself from their bed.
“Do you need a few blankets? It’s a bit nippy out tonight.” And while the house was nice and warm, they had a nice heating system, he figured it might be nice to offer anyway. So tea in the morning, good, crawling up into bed he climbed in behind his partner and pulled Aloysius back and against himself as he did his best to play big spoon to someone who was bigger than he was.
“Have a good sleep love.”

“Thank you, darling.” Leaning back into them as they pulled him back, he settled in. He could hear purring under the bed, reminding him that Desiree was here too and just as curious about things as Liam was. “I know you want me to rest but I have a lot of things to take care of most nights.” Tonight was different though and he was ready to rest.
Extra blankets might have come up if he wasn’t so tired but this was good as well. It was warm enough with Liam under the blankets with him and he curled his hand around their arm as he nodded off. “Sleep well, darling.” Mumbling slightly near the end.

Come the next morning and Liam was up and early, nothing new there, Aloysius was still asleep so Liam had to slip out of their bed as slowly and silently as he could so he didn’t wake his sleeping fiance. The other needed his sleep, he still couldn’t believe he’d corrupted two people the previous night, and he was going to make sure the other continued to sleep - until breakfast was done.
Going to use the bathroom, and take a shower, Liam headed downstairs once he was done using the bathroom. Dressed in clean lounge wear, something he could wander the house in, Liam made his way downstairs as silently as he could, which meant talking on tips toes, it was awkward but he also managed to accomplish the task of reaching the kitchen without making a peep….or barely a peep. With Aloysius still asleep, hopefully for a while longer, Liam went to get himself a glass of orange juice before he started in on breakfast. Protein powder was grabbed, along with some other nutritional powders, before he went for pancake mix and set to work. He found that if he hid the powders into various foods Aloysius didn’t notice them. It was best if he added fruit, to cover up the taste, and that was what he set about doing this morning as well.

Aloysius was dead to the world as he slept, even too dead to be haunted by night terrors or visited by dreams. Just an inky blackness until he started to stir. Something felt different when he began to come around, it wasn’t as warm as it had been when he’d passed out. At first, he was still groggy and didn’t want to open his eyes yet. Mumbling tiredly, he felt for Liam behind him and then in front of him. Both spots were empty so he grumbled and opened his eyes.
Everything was a bit fuzzy, much as it always was when he first woke up after he crashed like he had. Sitting up, he ran his fingers through his hair to get it to behave a bit more. It was frizzy and all over from sleeping with it loose. Stretching slowly, he groaned at the stiffness until he woke up a bit more. Grabbing his glasses instead of his contacts from the nightstand on his side of the bed, he looked around and saw that Liam wasn’t there but he could smell something cooking.
The purring from under the bed seemed to have disappeared as well and he wondered where she’d disappeared off to as well because he knew she didn’t like pancakes or sweets at all. Long fingers rubbed over his face as he nudged the rest of the sleep from his eyes and settled back against the headboard to check his phone. Only a few messages had come in, nothing requiring immediate attention so he set his phone back down and leaned his head back against the wooden headboard as he waited for his breakfast and his fiancé.

Strawberry pancakes along with a small pot of honey were set on the counter while he worked on the cream for it, whip cream custom made by the blond, as he mixed the whip cream with the raspberry puree he’d made. Water sat in the kettle, waiting to be heated, so he could make tea for Aloysius - something floral. There were two egg whites already sitting on his partner's plate, next to the plate with the pancakes, Liam had decided his fiance needed lots of options.
Humming as he wandered about the kitchen, sipping on his second glass of orange juice, the blond went to pour out a cup of juice for Aloysius’ tray as well. The poor wooden tray was going to be covered with plates, and cups, and weighed down by the offerings for his partner. Smiling at the idea, hoping the other would eat everything, he was more than happy at the sight of the full tray as he shuffled about to get everything ready.
It wasn’t till nearly fifteen minutes later that the tray was filled and everything was done. He’d come back for his own tray, which was equally full but with different foods, and he picked up the tray and headed upstairs. “I really hope he’s awake.” Climbing the stairs the blond headed down the hall and found Aloysius awake, and with his glasses on and propped up. “Breakfast time. I’ll go down and get my own tray but you should start eating.”
