It was such an odd feeling, to feel familiar with a space one had no memory of. Ako’s civilian memories had all but been erased, though she remembered a good deal as a senshi. It was confusing and frustrating, but she was doing her best. She reminded herself that, according to the journal she found, she had wanted this. That she had jumped at the chance to forget, apparently.
A heavy sigh escaped her and she sat atop a large dome shaped jungle gym. It was a usual perch for her, and the familiarity brought her comfort. After all, this was where she had met Chal. Maybe it was something of a lucky spot for her. Maybe with any luck, it would continue to be lucky.

Parks, Akaganeite had found, were useful places to be. People lingered in them long after they technically closed, and thus made good targets. Often, there were other powered people present for similar reasons. And tonight, she was definitely not alone.
She’d idly wandered towards the jungle gym area, curious about the presence of someone else who served the Negaverse, and it was with a moment of start that she realized she recognized the woman perched atop it.
Different, now. But similar enough.
“Ako? Do you…ah, remember me?”
When she had changed, she’d lost everything. Hopefully, Ako had not endured quite so much trauma.

The sound of footsteps made Ako look up. She took in the sight of a woman walking towards her and she tilted her head, curiously watching her. She called her by name, and something stirred in her mind, a memory perhaps? She focused on it and smiled, remembering the gargoyles and the warm feeling she had from the interaction.
“Akaganeite, right?”
There was a warmth to her eyes and smile that hadn't been there in their previous interaction. The transition had been disorienting, for certain, but had been mostly kind to her.
She uncurled herself and hopped down gracefully, smiling warmly at the taller woman. “I had hoped I'd get the chance to meet you again.”

Ah, good. Ako hadn’t forgotten her. That made this far easier, and…well. She was going to ignore that the very idea of being forgotten had set something of an ache in her chest, because that was silly, and unnecessary.
“Akaganeite, yes. Kaga will do.” No need for the full mouthful of her name.
“I’m pleased to see you like this. You seem much happier.” There had been a shadow about Ako, before. But that was gone, now. “The Negaverse has been treating you well, then?”

Ako laced her hands behind her back, smiling up at her as she nodded. “Kaga, then. That's cute.” She felt so much lighter, though she didn't have much to compare to. All she remembered was a feeling so overwhelming that it felt like drowning and being smothered at the same time. This? This was easy as breathing.
“Very much so. Chalcanthite has been wonderful in helping me make the transition. I owe him greatly. I feel …..lighter? It's hard to explain when you can't really remember what it was like before, I suppose. But I know I was sad for a long time.”
There was a bounce to her, almost. Vibrance that had long since been dimmed, now coming back to her.
“It really is good to see you again.”

“Mm, not the only cute thing here,” Kaga said, almost idly. It felt natural to flirt with the pretty girl in front of her, and so much easier to do it since Ako was now on the same side as her. And anyway, there really was nothing more attractive in a person than seeing them come into themself, and Ako looked so much happier now.
“I don’t think I’ve met General Chalcanthite,” she said, “but I’m glad he’s helping you adjust. It can be…complex, doing so. Finding a new way for yourself, with little memory of what came before. But it is very worth it.”
Or at least, it had been for her.

Ako’s cheeks colored and she grinned up at Kaga. “Oh~? Well thank you~.” She flipped her hair jokingly, feeling like this was natural. Had she been a flirt before? Or was this a new found confidence? She would think about that later, maybe. Right now, she was enjoying the moment.
She winked playfully at her, her heart beating just a little faster.

"Merely observing the truth," Kaga said, but she sounded--and looked--thoroughly pleased with herself. Honestly, it had been such a pleasant, lucky little thing, to find Ako again, and to see her so much brighter and happier.
And perhaps it was lucky in another way, too. The Senshi had been lovely when they were enemies, but a risk. Flirting with someone on the opposite side...that was not a risk that KAga was willing to take, not when she suspected her unwilling introduction into the Negaverse might make her more suspicious. She doubted most would believe her, under those circumstances, about not being bothered by the situation--truth be told, she likely wouldn't have believed someone who told her that story.
But now, they were on the same side, and Kaga felt no particular reason to hold back. Especially not when Ako seemed so thoroughly receptive to her charms.
"It's good that you've found your place so thoroughly. Do you...have plans, looking forward? Or are you taking ti day by day, for now?"

A warmth spread across Ako's cheeks as she smiled at Kaga, feeling almost a little giddy. She didn't know the last time she felt genuinely excited to talk with someone, to be in someone's presence, but she had a feeling it had been a while. At the question of plans, the senshi became thoughtful. "Nothing specific. Mostly just taking it one day at a time and doing what I can to be useful to Chalcanthite in thanks for everything he's done. He's gone above and beyond to give me a new start, and I want to make sure it isn't wasted." She shrugged, though the smile remained on her lips. "I... don't remember much, but I remember being in a really dark place when he found me. I was ready to give up and I had stopped taking care of myself. He...offered me a way to start over and to have a purpose again. And then he went above and beyond by even giving me a place to stay. So I just...want to do what I can to show him that it was worth it, I suppose." She didn't remember much beyond that, her first meeting with Chalcanthite and Voce vague beyond the certainty of hope he had given her. "It's... strange to not remember an entire life though. And to know or like something but not have an explanation of where it came from. It's like having to get to know someone from scratch, except that that person is yourself. Was it the same for you?" She tilted her head curiously, looking up at Kaga. She didn't quite feel comfortable asking Chal about such things, at least not yet anyways, but something about Kaga made her feel at ease and want to keep talking.

Kaga nodded, thoughtfully. "A good place to start. But there are few ways to go wrong with a new beginning, I think. Except for going backwards, but that doesn't seem to be a concern." Not for now, at least, when she clearly had a good relationship with her General and a reason to look to the future instead of the past.
Perhaps theirs was a more potent starting over than others might get, but it was still a starting-over.
"It was very much the same for me," Kaga acknowledged. "I lost...everything. My past before the day I found myself clad in black is a blank. I know I was a Knight, once. And that it was not my choice to join the Negaverse. But I have made it my choice, since." Putting one foot in front of the other. Going forward, never looking back. "I have enjoyed determining who I am for myself, though. Whoever I was before is gone. At least...that's how I've come to see it."

The fact it could have gone wrong only seemed to just occur to the senshi and she frowned. She had so hastily agreed that it had never even crossed her mind. Perhaps she truly was quite fortunate. "Do you... ever feel like you want to learn about the person you were before? I... admit that sometimes I'm curious myself. Sometimes I wonder what sort of person she was to have been so desperate to start new with such a strong conviction. But... then I think of how much pain that person must have been in, and I think of how free I feel now, and it makes it easier to not care, I suppose." Ako shrugged, a smile still playing on her lips. "I admire you for coming to terms with it so resolutely." Truthfully she admired her in quite a few ways, though she worried saying so might be too forward. At least for now. "When I met you the first time, I had already decided on my course that I would take, that I would accept Chalcanthite's offer. I wasn't sure how much I should say back then but... I'm really happy to have met you again, Kaga." She looked up at her, giving her a vibrant smile that she wouldn't have even been capable of a few months back.

Kaga exhaled. "I wondered, sometimes. But there seemed so...little purpose in pursuing it, when it was something that I could never get back. There were bits and pieces of that person left to me, and I've made use of what I can, but in the end--what would I be, except a ghost attempting to inhabit a life long gone?"
She shook her head. No, who she was had long since stopped being a concern.
Still, she smiled, fondly. "And I am glad to have met you, as your new self. I hope we can continue finding each other."
It was a sincere hope. Kaga liked Ako quite a lot.
