Quote: Snowy Showdown (16) : There’s something magical about fresh fallen snow–completely undisturbed and untouched by the rest of the world. It should be relaxing and peaceful–a sign that no one has been around and you’re perfectly safe. Except, the best predators lie in wait, completely invisible to their prey. What do you do when a patch of snow starts clumping together and taking shape right before your eyes? When it all comes together, it looks like a person, only there are no features, just a snowy white form. Maybe there wouldn’t have been an issue if you hadn’t seen it, but it’s too late. In frantic, panicked movements, it lunges at you with icy fists. It feels like being pelted with snowballs, but each hit lowers your core body temperature–rapidly. The creature is highly susceptible to heat and will melt if exposed to it; if you hit it, snow splatters everywhere. It may attempt to reform, but eventually it loses strength. You might not want to stick around to see if it just needs a little more time. If the creature manages to knock you unconscious, you may wake up covered in snow and with a bad cold. You may be more aware of strange, snowy figures that seem to be standing around in odd places; who knows where these things are hiding? Note: This strange snow monster is not a youma but can be used as a battle requirement for a character. It can only be used as a battle if there are two powered characters involved; you cannot write a solo and count this as a battle, and your character must be powered to meet battle requirements. You can use the prompt for as many characters as you like and it will count as a battle requirement, however if you repeat the prompt with the same character, only the first time will be usable as a battle.

Thebe was out in the snow patrolling the snow seemed so peaceful so she was just chilling and watching for anything weird going on, this was not how she thought her life was going to go. At this point she just kinda shrugged that her destiny had changed this was destiny city after all. She hadn't really thought of things around the city being weird before she had been awakened as a senshi she didn't understand why any of them needed to keep fighting this battle over and over. She would much rather have a nap than be stuck in a never-ending battle but it seemed she had a world that needed her and she had to fix that.

Isolde adjusted her sleek black coat as she wandered through the snow-covered park, her boots crunching softly with every step. The stillness of the freshly fallen snow wasn’t lost on her—there was something intoxicating about its purity, how it erased the flaws of the world beneath it. Yet, she couldn’t help but smirk at the irony. Purity was fragile, and snow was easily tainted. She had been tasked with gathering energy tonight, though she hardly found it thrilling. The cold nipped at her, making her wish for the warmth of her quarters back in the Negaverse. “Why do I always get the boring assignments?” she muttered under her breath, golden eyes scanning the park for anyone foolish enough to wander through. And then she felt it. A pulse in the air—faint but distinct. Her gaze flicked toward the untouched snow near the trees. Her hand instinctively reached for the heart-shaped charm at her waist, fingers brushing its cold surface. Something wasn’t right. ((162))

Thebe sensed the energy near her and she so did not want to deal with this, she was not an energetic person so destiny or whatever picking her to be a senshi was not a smart move in her book, she would have rather been taking a nap then walking in the snow and facing down a chaos member. She still hadn't noticed anything weird about the snow, but Thebe wasn't the most perceptive girl there ever was anyways. She figured she would have to meet the nega or whatever they were since she would have to check that they weren't draining a civilian. Man did she wish she was still a civilian too so her biggest worry would be falling asleep in class.

Isolde lingered in the shadows, watching the Senshi’s sluggish movements through narrowed golden eyes. The girl moved with a noticeable lack of urgency, as though her mere presence in the snow was an affront to her will to exist. Isolde let out a low chuckle. “So, this is who they’re sending out these days? Looks like destiny really drew the short straw.” She stepped out from behind the trees, her black coat fluttering faintly in the wind. Her heels clicked against the frozen ground, a deliberate sound meant to announce her presence. She didn’t bother hiding the smirk on her lips as the Senshi—Thebe, she assumed from the faint energy signature—turned toward her with the speed of someone who’d much rather be anywhere else. “Well, well, if it isn’t one of the champions of justice,” Isolde drawled, her voice laced with mockery. “Though you don’t look too thrilled about the title. Shouldn’t you be patrolling with a bit more… enthusiasm?” ((160))

Thebe rolled her eyes at the insult "It's not like I asked to be drafted into this war or whatever you want to call it." She crossed her arms pouting. Thebe rolled her eyes "No one said you had to be cheerful while being a senshi white moon or chaos, heck I bet there are other grumpy senshi in history too, they can't all have been thrilled to patrol and fight evil all the time." She looked over noticing something funny about the snow like it was trying to build a snow man by itself. Then she looked back at the chaos member that had been insulting her they didn't have magic right? So why was the snow acting weird? She frowned her arms still crossed "I don't suppose you have magic having to do with snow?" She asked casually.

Isolde raised an eyebrow at Thebe’s pout, a smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. “Drafted, huh? You make it sound like you’re stuck in some low-budget soap opera. Believe me, sweetheart, no one on my side volunteered either. But at least we don’t whine about it.” She leaned casually against a tree, crossing one leg over the other as she studied the Senshi. Thebe’s lack of energy was almost amusing, a far cry from the fiery resolve Isolde usually expected from her adversaries. It was almost disappointing. “You know,” Isolde mused, gesturing vaguely with one hand, “if there are other grumpy Senshi out there, they’d probably be thrilled to have you as their poster child. ‘Join the fight for justice—complaining optional.’ Sounds catchy, doesn’t it?” She paused when Thebe’s attention shifted to the snow behind her. Isolde followed her gaze and immediately noticed the unnatural way it seemed to move, clumping together as if guided by unseen hands. Her golden eyes narrowed. “Hmm,” she murmured, straightening up. The girl’s casual question brought an exaggerated laugh out of her. “Snow magic? Do I look like a seasonal mascot to you?” She waved a hand dismissively, but her tone grew sharper. “That little trick isn’t mine. Trust me, if I wanted to mess with you, you’d know it.” Isolde turned her focus back to the patch of snow, her eyes narrowing as the figure began to take a vague shape once more. “Though, I have to admit, this little display is… interesting. Maybe it’s your fault. Ever think about that? Strange things tend to happen when you Senshi are around.” ((270))

Thebe was really getting tired of this nega they were so annoying but she was done wasting her breath with them as the snow collected itself into a huge snow monster, she frowned it didn't feel or look like a youma to her. She jumped and rolled out of the way as it attempted to smash her with it's large snowy fist. "Right I have snow magic and I'm trying to smash myself great idea." She clapped in a sarcastic manner and looked around trying to figure out how to get out of this mess without getting smashed. Maybe if she was lucky the snow monster would smash the nega instead and solve her problem for her. At least she had her slowing magic that she would be able to use to slow down the snow monster but it might slow down the nega too and Thebe wasn't sure she was that much of a jerk to put them in danger even if they didn't like each other.

Isolde smirked at Thebe's eye roll, her golden gaze glittering with amusement. “You really should work on your gratitude, darling. Drafted or not, you’re living the dream—saving the world, wearing that cute little outfit, being everyone’s moral compass. What’s not to love?” Isolde’s amusement faltered as Thebe’s gaze shifted, her attention drawn to the snow. She turned her head slightly, her brows furrowing as she noticed the strange movement—the way the snow clumped together unnaturally, forming shapes with unsettling precision. When Thebe’s question broke the silence, Isolde arched a perfectly sculpted eyebrow, her lips curving into a wry smile. “Snow magic? Me? Oh, sweetheart, no. My talents are a little more… refined than conjuring seasonal nuisances.” She gestured dismissively at the shifting snow. “Whatever that is, it’s not my doing. But I’ll give it points for creativity.” “Seems like your problem, though,” she said casually, glancing at Thebe. “Aren’t you the hero here? Shouldn’t you be leaping into action with some inspiring speech about hope or teamwork or whatever it is you people do?” ((170))

Thebe glared at the nega and cast "Take it Slow" on the area and she started to move away "It's not that kind of fairy tale, how about he be your problem and then you can go drain energy from some innocent like the jerk you are and I'll fight you over that." She said with a smirk and backed away from the pair while she had the chance to get the heck out of there. "It was lovely meeting you and having you insult me with every breath." Sailor Scout Attack: Take it Slow 30 seconds, 3 uses Thebe puts her arms out and casts a debuff to slow her targets down. All enemies within a ten foot range will embody the slowness of the unau and will move at 1/3rd their usual speed. The magic lasts for 30 seconds. Targets may move slightly faster if they are at risk of great harm (such as if someone is trying to deliver a killing blow) but otherwise they will have reduced speed. Their speech and thoughts will move as normal unless players want to slow that down as well.

MiddyGlow Thank you so much for the RP. If you would like to do another one please let me know. heart heart The snow creature jerked and faltered, clearly affected by the debuff. Its sluggish movements made it look even more unnatural, as if the magic had exposed the cracks in its strange construction. Isolde flicked her wrist, sending a burst of dark energy toward it, her attack slower than usual but still precise. The creature exploded into a flurry of snowflakes, though she knew better than to assume it was gone for good. She turned her gaze back to Thebe, who was retreating with a smirk of her own. “Oh no, don’t let me stop you,” Isolde called out, her voice dripping with mockery. “By all means, run back to your cozy little life while I clean up this mess. Just remember, darling, next time we meet, I won’t be so generous.” Her tone shifted, colder now, as she added, “You think you can just walk away from this fight, but let me remind you—fairy tale or not, this isn’t the kind of story where the heroine gets to quit. You’ll have to face the consequences sooner or later, Senshi. And when you do, I’ll be there.” Despite her words, Isolde didn’t give chase. Instead, she let the slowed magic keep her in place, her sharp mind calculating the best course of action. If Thebe wanted to play cat and mouse, Isolde was happy to wait. She had all the time in the world to remind the girl that even a reluctant Senshi couldn’t escape destiny—or the Negaverse. For now, though, she watched as Thebe disappeared into the snowy park, her smirk returning as she murmured to herself, “Enjoy your freedom while it lasts, little Senshi. You won’t always have the luxury of running away.” As the effects of the debuff began to fade, Isolde straightened her coat and glanced at the patch of disturbed snow where the creature had been. There were more pressing mysteries to unravel tonight, and Isolde wasn’t one to let an opportunity for intrigue slip through her fingers. With a flick of her hand, she vanished into the shadows, leaving the quiet park behind. ((348
