So now he wandered and sipped at his thermos of warm tea. There were lots of people out, from both sides, and he could feel some closer than others. If Selinur was with him he knew it would end up a wild goose chase to try and face down chaos. He’d been doing a bit of that on his own now, even if it was in a very different way compared to his Arctic roommate.
More often than not he would just manage to help get some of the drained people checked on or at least help them wander towards home. It helped that they were tired, that most times they didn’t question things too much because they were out of it. But he knew that there was a difference between him and the people of this city so it made sense they might not warm up to him when he was out and powered up.
Villon was on a mission, one that he was a bit overdue on.
Pezz, the loud mouth that she is, tasked (more like requested) him with the mission of finding a senshi that looked like a weird cross between a ... .Grey mannequin and some sort of…Bunni? Granted, he was sure there weren't many white moon senshi with a description like that so he went searching after waiting a bit. Lo and behold, he found someone close to what Pezz was describing so he was currently watching them, squatting on a particularly strong tree branch with his arms resting on his legs. The darkness swirling around him caused the shadow tentacles that usually follow him to swirl about in place, crazed blue eyes glowing with the light around him.
Now he could risk getting closer, or he could test his ranged skills….But that still required getting within range of the senshi he was hunting. So, Villon decided to wait and see what the little thing would do or if they would notice what was currently behind them. He could always teleport if he needed now that he was used to it (thanks Wither for making him practice till he puked), so there was no risk to waiting.
Someone new had approached, somewhere close, and that feeling prickling up the back of his neck meant chaos. But he didn’t see anyone as he looked around, wandering closer to one of the cans to throw trash in. He’d had some napkins tucked away that he needed to toss and it made a good excuse to look around.
After that last encounter, he knew they could teleport which made it hard to figure things out. So he needed to try figuring out where they were without them knowing he knew they were here. Scrunching up his face, he went back to sip at his tea while wandering towards the trees. He pulled out his phone as if to take a picture of things, much like he did every time he found something he wanted to know more about. It was amazing that he could take a photo and then google would tell him what something was most of the time. He’d found it didn’t work on things that were magic but it was useful to know what plants were good or bad to touch.
Looking down at his phone, he could feel that he was closer but there wasn’t anyone on the ground anywhere as he wandered. He knew he needed to be close, at least sort of, to use magic but it never seemed like it listened completely to him. He knew why, he’d seen it first hand for the other senshi he’d helped, but for now, he wasn’t ready to manage his own world.
Mumbling a bit to himself about the cold, he closed his phone and tucked it away before doing the same with his thermos. It’d be bad if it got messed up because Illyria had helped him figure out how to buy it.
As much as he hated this feeling of not knowing where the enemy was, he knew that he really couldn’t just go head to head and fight. Procyon wasn’t like Selinur, Fang, or Urania, not that he didn’t have magic of his own. It was better for helping others than fighting, but he’d found that people of this world were unsettled by it which worked out at least enough to give him a bit of surprise to work with.
Well, teleporting is nice, he could do that and see how fast the little bunny can react. From what Pezz had told him, the tiny thing can send you somewhere empty, but not at the same time. He didn't understand entirely what that meant but either way it seemed like that would be a cool power to have.
Too bad they were on the wrong side.
Slowly, Villon stood up to his full height of 6’4, rolling his head back before teleporting right in front of his intended victim. He would have to be quick and time this right, so as soon as he was in front of his target, one giant hand reached out with a quickness to wrap itself around their throat. The skin of this……Whatever this creature was, was a bit squishy. It was new, but not something he disliked. As his hand tightened its grip he slowly started to lift the little senshi off of the ground, blue eyes looking like a match between crazed and a sort of wild curiosity. He smiled big and wide. Hopefully this one will provide him with some entertainment and maybe he could see what Pezz was talking about.
“Well….Hello there.”
Each new corrupt senshi he met made it easier to dislike them and he also regretted not pulling along one of his friends just in case. They were giant and strong, both things he knew had him at a disadvantage. The worst part was the fact his feet weren’t on the ground so he wasn’t sure if he could even use his magic.
Pulling his hands up, he squeezed and pulled at their fingers to try and get them off him, not that it seemed to be doing much as he felt light headed. Closing his eyes, he knew this wouldn’t be the greatest idea but, he swung his legs and kicked at them wherever he could to hopefully get them to drop him.
It hurt, but to be honest, it didn’t hurt as much as that vault door had, the difference here was he could maybe do something about it. So struggling and then magic, that was how he would figure things out and hope for the best.
Villon increased his hold on the little Senshi’s neck, finding entertainment in their struggles. The kicking though, that was starting to get a bit annoying. When the senshi gave another kick, his other hand caught the limb by the ankle in midair, tightening his hold immediately. “You know….I heard you had weird powers…” He tilted his head to the side, increasing the grip of both hands as he said, “I have some weird powers too…I think you’d get a kick out of them right?” The pressure increased, “How about we do a little test yeah? I'll show you mine and you can show me yours!~”
Villon’s eyes grew even more crazed at the thought, “Sounds like a good deal right little light?!” The last bit came as a growl while his hands started pulling in opposite directions. This little thing was so….squishy, it made him want to just….Rip it apart.
Procyon’s eyes shot open as the senshi grabbed his ankle and had him held at an even more awkward angle. Trying to make a noise, nothing came out as they tightened their grip on his throat and ankle. It was getting harder to struggle but the more the senshi spoke, something tugged at his memories and it scared him more than this senshi did.
It was like his people, that same crazed violent streak that seemed to come with the pink tide of tainted algae. But it couldn’t be right? This wasn’t the same thing but either way he didn’t like it. Wincing and trying again to pull their fingers from his throat, he tried to nod, to go along with what they were saying because the pulling of his ankle and throat wouldn’t lead anywhere good. It felt like they were trying to pull him apart, just as he always split the seaweed back home when swimming through the water.
With his free leg, he tried to reach them but found it hard with everything going on. Just a step, just one, he’d never tried it on anything other than solid ground but if it could work, no matter what result came from it, he’d make a run for it because something was wrong with this senshi, more so than the sick aura of chaos around them. But if they could catch his nod in agreement to try the magic standoff, hopefully, they’d give up pulling and tugging at him. Illyria would worry when he got back home, he knew that, and he hated making the mauvian worry.
Oh? The little senshi agreed to his proposal?
Neat.
Villon gave the little thing a break, relaxing his arms so they were not trying to rip the damned thing apart. While he said he would allow the senshi the chance to use their powers on him, he didn't say how. Which is why he had this little idea in his head, just to ******** with the little light. Villon slowly brought the senshi close, to the point that their noses could almost touch. Staring them in the eye, he tilted his hand on their neck till the little thing was looking up at him instead of down. With his grin stretched to the max, it seemed like something black was seeping through his teeth.
Villon leaned down, “Open wide little light~” since they were still gasping for air, Villon brought his mouth as close then closed it around the the squirming thing, bringing up one of his little inky friends so that it would slide down their throat….If it didn't disappear on contact. It was right when that little delivery happened that he felt something like a foot make contact with his chest. The squishy senshi disappeared….Suddenly he was in some sort of hallway that was empty and devoid of anything living.
Villon frowned and tilted his head in question, his arm falling limply by his side. Where was he? How did he get here? There was a weird….Something budding in his chest….Something he was deeply familiar with. Ah…..That was it….Villon stumbled, grabbing his head and shaking it to clear the feeling from his head. All he mostly felt the memory of hunger, and the knowledge that he was going to die at the age of five in the filth infested bathroom that he called his room while his parents were too busy getting high or gambling away everything they owned.
No hope…No sense wondering for his future, because there would never be one.
Villon stood motionless, looking up at the roof of the place he was trapped in, blue eyes devoid of life while tears fell from his eyes. In the back of his mind he knew something was wrong and that he should move, but what is the point?
Procyon didn’t like where this was going, seeing something dripping from the Senshi’s mouth. It ripped horrible flashes of memory of his people and how the tainted water and algae stained and seeped from them. Then it got worse, and he struggled as something tried to slither down his throat for a moment. But he was close enough and the gamble seemed to work out as he stepped his foot up their chest and his magic responded.
Getting dropped hurt but it let him gasp air back into his lungs as he hacked and coughed for a moment. Looking up at the senshi, he could tell they were seeing something but he never knew what they saw within his magic. It gave him a few moments to stumble to his feet and rub at his throat. Shaking his head as he turned, something flitted past him, something familiar. Then that sound, the one he couldn’t forget.
A low screech of metal on metal, the sound of a vault closing, cutting off panicked screams and he was caught in the center of it all in the most literal sense. Looking down, gone was his prosthetic, gone was any sign of the limb that he had there either back then or now. It throbbed and he looked around frantically for a moment, he had to run, had to get away.
But he remembered this place, as much as he’d tried to forget it. It was as clear as day even if he now knew that day had been over a thousand years ago. Scrambling more than running, he darted away in a random direction trying to outrun not just that senshi but now the horrible nightmare that even time had washed away. All he hoped was that he managed to get far enough away before they saw him and decided to catch back up.
Eventually, the effect the Senshi’s powers had on Villon disappeared. His eyes found light, and his body slowly started to twitch and move. The corrupt shook his head eventually, blue eyes looking every which way for the prey that managed to escape. So….THAT'S the power Pezz was so afraid of? He moved his neck to crack it, grinning.
Well….
Maybe he might have to find that little light again and have more fun. Cute aggression was a thing after all and Villon had TONS of it for the little thing that escaped him. The senshi decided that teleporting would be the quickest way to get home as well as send a message to Pezz. Eventually, he wanted to meet that squishy little thing again if only to see how far it would stretch.
He just hoped he wouldn't be disappointed when the senshi eventually ripped apart from the pressure.
