'Give her a job, Director. She completed SeeD training, Director. She's up to the mission, Director. I can withhold resources, Director. I'll kick your a**, Director.' Keller gave out a sigh. ******** Almasys. He turned in his command chair, leaned forward and propped his chin on his fists and gave the trio of kids a smile. Mai Zeigmus. Child of a traitor, as far as most were concerned, but her mother Xaris had put up with so much. If Mai performed with as much diligence as her mom, her continued employment would be well worth it. Just had to make sure the Raeka thing didn't get out, and considering neither Xaris or Salem had said anything to them yet... That Nyale girl was the one to watch.

Next, Raeka Everett-Maris. Just a SeeD, not a prospective B.I.E. member as was his lover. He was good at what he did, and his current age and hormones were perfect for committing atrocities as he was far from the proper maturity to understand half of the consequences of what he would get up to. Yet his father let him consider operating, which was confusing. Salem never would have allowed this according to everything Keller knew. That was a problem. Probably not half of the problem Raeka could be with whatever the ******** happened in Eden City.

Intelligence was his gig and the Everetts had him confounded, and half of what had happened was his own damn plans. Bastards.

Finally, the Almasy child. A fine family, and probably one of the few pure protections against a Everett that went wild. But when it came to their child, he was surprised her neck could support that inflated ego, but that was another matter. He had had his arm twisted enough to be forced to hire her for a Galbadian operation. At least he didn't have to worry about disciplining her if she botched the job.

"The three of you have been pulled here for wetwork. It is your duty to discover, identify and eliminate the leaders of the Timber resistance. Unlike most SeeD missions, Mr. Maris, Mrs. Almasy, your pay is based on your performance. Our operative Zeigmus will monitor your performance, and report based on the expected parameters Seed should operate on." For a moment his gaze shifted to Mai. The agreed upon deal was that this was her test to become a true Bureau of Intelligence and Enforcement operative. It was testing her loyalty to her country over her loyalty to her boyfriend. Accurate reporting and truthful critique of both her fellows would matter.

Preferential treatment of Raeka would see her fail, and even potentially lose her candidacy. Not that it was said aloud, but Zeigmus should be able to put that together. "You'll start with the Forest Owls. Their head quarters is a train that uses the abundant train travel within the city as cover. Their leader Zone has proven to be a master of disguise, and is in his late thirties to early forties. Now, I'll be happy to provide you a point of infiltration, but what that is is up to you, how do you plan to enter Timber?"

Mai Zeigmus

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━═✥═━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓

It was a strange disjunction between leaving Unita and heading back to work as soon as they got back, but truth be told, Mai preferred work over idle boring chatter most of the time, apart from spending time with Raeka. It was difficult to keep the pair apart for long, and even more so for Mai to treat Raeka the same as others due to their relationship. Raeka also knew that Mai took her job seriously, even if her attitude was more crass and unprofessional at every given opportunity that allowed for it. She was as much of a renegade as she was a loyal soldier, granted she had no idea that it was BIE that was responsible for Raeka getting shot, even more so who did it. If only she did know.

Once the mission debriefing was done with more or less, and the option of how they would get access was brought up, she threw out a suggestion, though at the end of the day, it was the two of them who were being graded for their performance and actions. Her job was merely to see that they either saw it through or reported in the failure. "If trains are still coming in and out of Balamb, then we could simply just arrive at Balamb and take a train into Timber. Unfortunately, due to both Raeka and I's political relevancy at the moment, I am pretty sure hiding our identities is going to be next to impossible. The resistance will know we are there as soon as we arrive, which means that Nami here is the only one who has the strongest potential of actually infiltrating the rebels."

Well at least THIS wasn't a bore!

The shortest of the trio that were before Matthias Keller stood with a slanted stance, one hair twirling in the strand of hair that wasn't locked into two neat buns on the top of her head. She looked preppy, pretty all the less, and emitted an aura of cockiness matched with an innate sense of regality; all of this matched with her face, which was lightly tinted with sings of makeup but other than a few innate scars from the trade, she was a natural beauty. Unfortunately, she also looked like she knew it as well. The Galbadian Garden Princess eyed Keller with sharp eyes though, adding the sense that while she was many things, an idiot she was not. It would give more sense that her father had portrayed the kind of people she would be working with, Matthias being one of them aside from the other two that she knew off handedly. Daddy said he's a man who prefers to sit in the background... In other words, a guy who would rather sit and not get his hands dirty all the time, or at least, not be public about it.

Her face didn't change as she analyzed the man in the command chair, her school girl/sailor uniform shifting while she changed hips to lean on. Wetwork? Oh...sneaking and assassinating was something that she knew was in her wheelhouse. This was further accented by...the big, tall, dangerous, and voluptuous (meowwww) Mai. Nami wanted to gauge what others thought before chiming in, this being her first major mission, she would acquiesce a bit of leadership in these roles to compatriots to a point, and Mai made as good a point as any. "It'd be hard to miss someone as...noticeacble as you, Miss Zeigmus." her voice was pleasant to listen to, catty in its own, as she playfully spoke to the taller woman, "Both of your antics regardless, you're both noticable. If its okay with you, I'll go in there solo and try to spot the Owl Man, then we can..." She playfully put a finger gun to her head and mimed pulling the trigger.

She stopped fiddling with her hair and looked at Raeka and Mai, crossing her arms. "Which of course, means what are you two going to be up to? Chatting me up via ear piece until its time to swoop in?"

Of course, if she could get that kill and that bit of glory for herself, she would.

Anything to make Mommy and Daddy, proud.

Upon hearing that their pay would be based upon their performance, Raeka gave Nami a askew glance. I don't know why they put us with dead weight in that case. But that would be something to deal with later. His focus returned to Director Keller as he spoke. Search and destroy, and perhaps even odder there wasn't any request to be discreet. So the operation wasn't planned to be deniable, or at least wasn't on the ticket so far, he wondered if that was in consideration of the Almasy girl.

Either way, attitude was one of the grading figures of a SeeD, which included their moral and professional behavior. When the offer for a infiltration route was given, his head tilted slight to look at his beloved as she spoke. Then the other one spoke, and his head tilted the other way to listen to her. Surprisingly, he disagreed with them both. "Balamb train is a good infiltration start, us all being school age means a few Balamb kids heading to the bigger city of Timber is pretty natural. As for our identities, a bottle of color in my hair goes a long way, my clan's white hair tends to be a easy identifier. I think a change of style. Clothing, hairstyle, hair color can get us a good distance if we're careful."

Another glance at Nami. "Especially the Almasy, she may be a Balamb SeeD but any higher up is going to know her relevance to the Galbadian military. Shouldn't take more than a week; but we infiltrate via train, cover as kids leaving town to party. Three proxy bank accounts, one wealthy, one middle class and the other either middle or lower class would help in case the resistances have access to payment methods. Or even just civil jobs where they can see the names charged too. Anyways, once we're in we have plenty of reason to probe out the city as tourists. However we should have a stash of our weapons deposited to our hotel room, so we don't have to travel with weapons that could also, give us away."

With both Raeka and Nami giving their inputs, and ultimately Raeka appearing to have a concrete plan around the infiltration, Mai nodded. "Well, I suppose I can go shopping for some clothes. I'll have to wear an eyepatch over my cybernetic eye, cause it'll look a little weird to be wandering around, but..." She paused for a moment as her hand gently reached up towards the antenna on her head, pondering about them. "I'm going to have to do something to dress this up as like headphones, or whatever." Who knew that having metal parts in your body would make you stand out more?

Regardless of the small details, she waved her hand over it. "Whatever! Doesn't matter! We'll get the disguises sorted out. Unless Nami has a better suggestion, I am down with the current plan of action suggested by Raeka." She informed the director, looking more and more ready to get started on the task at hand.

"I have a NAME, Raeka Everett-Maris." Her nostrils flailed at being just called 'the Almasy,' before looking towards Mai. "Ah! We must go and obtain all the nice outfits! I can help mock up your antennae!" The peppy school girl voice looked and felt genuine, but Nami also knew that Mai would be a valuable individual to build up a rapport with. Raeka was a MAN and that made him more volatile, and just as he addressed her, irritating to deal with. There was nothing more irritating than young men going through a hormone change, let alone whatever weird magical bullshit that entire family had going on. It was obvious that she concurred with the plans that were laid out by her two team mates, though she wasn't concerned if her regular weapons would need to be hidden in the hotel. The long black metal hair pins that held her two buns up were perfect weapons when she was not allotted her pistols or knives.

"Sounds like we have a plan!"

Easy enough. Buying train tickets was easy, and not every student would be known by face or by name in Balamb. The most important thing would be for the kids to figure out their alternate identities. "I don't have time for young girls to go shopping. You can do that in Deling after you get your pay, after you complete the mission. You three have a hour in the wardrobe to pack your bags, establish your alter egos before we're shipping you to Balamb for the start of your mission."

Keller stood from his chair. "Your credit cards and Identification cards will be done by that time. Mai, because you are a B.I.E. representative, you will have the-" And this was in air quotes. "-rich dad since you will be spending our resources. As such the hotel room for the three of you will be also in your 'dad's' name. You'll also have a stylist waiting for you in the wardrobe to get all that fixed up. Remember, we do want the town to be mostly intact, so don't go too over the top in getting the job done, but collateral is expected."

He slipped a cigarette out from his desk, pointing it at the kids. "Alright kiddos, since he was the only one who seemed to have an actionable plan. Mr. Maris, you're in charge. You're dismissed." Lighter flicked open, and with a long drag he lit his cigarette.

"Yes sir." Answered Raeka once they were dismissed. In proper fashion he gave the Galbadian SeeD salute, pivoted on a heel and left the command vehicle. They weren't too far out of Deling. It was clear the boy was expecting his counterparts to be with him, as he didn't even check to see if they were following him. He just found the entrance to the base of operations and headed there. Raeka silently considered reprimanding some of Nami's behavior towards Mai, and if she was a man he definitely would have laid her out. But he'd take it easy. It's not that she was a actual competitor for Mai's affections. He just didn't like anyone making forward comments about her.

It wasn't long before he arrived at the wardrobe. Assorted clothes of many shapes and sizes, although only Ms. Zeigmus would fine a collection specific to her proportions with options just about any could imagine. A quick search around the room revealed a older woman waiting, in typical uniform, although she had a tray of hair dyes and other products was waiting. "Well, girls. Is it true blondes have more fun, or should I go more contrast with brunette or black hair?"

His face fell as he seemed to come to a realization, and turned to face his assumed to follow team mates. "So what are we doing with Almasy's cover. Mai and I make a pretty convincing couple, tag along may not hold out so well. Someone's sister, maybe?"

Well. It seemed he had walked off on his own.

Later, the trio were dropped off outside of Balamb. By this point Raeka had been turned into a dark haired jock. Honestly he didn't seem all that happy about it. But what is done is done. The entry into Balamb, including a small snack stop before getting train tickets was uneventful. Not many gave the kids much attention before they had boarded the train, and even less after.

Similarly the train ride was also boring. Sure taking the subterranean train was a first time experience for most of them. Nami may have had more experience being a Balamb local, but at least for Rae the weight of the mission had him distracted. He watched out the window for a short while, enjoying the blue view of the ocean.

Once they had arrived in Timber Raeka filed out like the rest, although he was paying attention to some of the people waiting for the new arrivals. Well, according to reports this was where Resistance members would watch new comers. May as well get the show on the road.

"Timber at last Ladies." He said turning to face his companions with a grin. His Balamb Bombs varsity jacket becoming clear to everyone watching from the station. Simple enough from here to grab a visitors pamphlet and head towards the hotel, giving them plenty of reason to meander and perhaps even board the local trains. Take it in.

She nodded to Matthias, understanding that she would have to play the rich daughter type, which she was well suited for, albeit, she would have to change how she acted around others. "You got it boss!" She said with a wild grin on her face, looking over to the two others now. Well, the trip was going to be something for sure! She was excited despite the real possibility of getting into a full out firefight with the resistance. She was curious to see how strong Raeka had gotten since his unique transformation, but, she was not going to bring it up to anyone. She was aware, and likely at some point someone else would be as well, if not already. Until then, she'd feign ignorance for him.

"Black would do well on you, guess that means I gotta go white to fit appropriately with you!" She said with a laugh, grinning as she wrapped both of her arms around Nami and Raeka, walking with them. "Right then! Let's get shopping!" In Deling, of course!

==============

Having situated themselves and acquired their disguises respectively, Mai had gone for a completely new look that probably would throw Raeka off. His tomboy girlfriend was known to mainly wear more masculine attire, rarely only going for a skirt to feel cute from time to time, but the outfit she wore now, was completely as 180 from Mai as it could be. She wore a full gothic lolita outfit with all the frills and accessories that came with it. When he first saw her, she was blushing red, embarrassed that she was in such attire. She never once felt the need to dress so girly and prissy but now that she did wear such a thing, she felt utterly meak about it.

After she had gotten over the embarrassment, she had traversed with both him and Nami to Balamb, and then to Timber. Once they arrived, Mai sighed as she stretched her arms and legs a bit. "I hate trains. They take way too long to get to places. Much prefer boat." She said as she yawned, stretching, not that she needed to. She barely felt fatigue thanks to her cybernetics, something she was appreciative with, given the incredible amount of back pain she felt before.

Nami loved changing her look.

She stepped out of the train, yawning and stretching her limbs as she had dozed the whole way, though her gaze at her companions was one of trepidation at best, at least Raeka. Mai and her had a girls day and went shopping, and the Almasy Princess was now rocking a nice pony tail, a cute red skirt with thigh high stockings and boots to match her black top. Her makeup was done well, almost passing as a university student. She didn't exude higher class, but she definitely didn't look poor. Or rather, her looks would not allow her such a look. What could she say, beauty was in the eye of the beholder and those that didn't find her cute, she'd rip the eye out of their b-hole while she stood there.

"Timber, Timber, Timber...how I longed for you even while riding on this lovely train." she gushed, looking over at Mai with surprise, "Trains are wonderful! You get to see the world pass by not too fast, not too slow, and see everything! You don't have to worry about the driver crashing, you can sleep comfortably, and the snacks are delightful!" She sighed, eyes reminiscing dreamily some of the snacks that she had had on the numerous train rides that she had been on. "I love boats though...its the same as a train but...more dangerous..." A mischievous glint filled her eyes. One day, she would have a boat. And one day, she would sail the seas and hoard monster's treasures on that boat.

"Speaking of dangerous...where should we start, team NamRaeMai!" She sang the supposed team name like Do, Ray, Mi and it sounded...lovely actually.

Play the role. He told himself, allowing himself a moment to undress Mai with his eyes for a moment. With their luggage having already been sent forwards by Galbadia, there wasn't much for them to worry about besides what they had brought on with them. Anyways, he snapped out of it as Nami spoke and called them a team, with their real names actually being part of it. He sighed and looked to the side, that was definitely gonna hit their pay grade, and it was only looking worse if she kept that up.

He would put a pin in that. "Apparently, the Aphorora company got started not too far away from here, with a pub." He looked back at Mai. "S'pposed to be real nice. I think it's too late to take a hike through the forests either, so how about we start with something to eat. These other train lines go through Esthar and Galbadia, so I think we could get some of that strange E-food." Not that he was a stranger too it, the Balamb seafood was what he had actually been the least familiar with. But still the role called...

"I think this line will take us to the downtown area." He said pushing his way through the crowd to head to the other train line that worked the interior of the town. "Babe, I think after we eat, we hit the town and see what Timber has. This place is meant to be like, second only to Deling, yeah?"

She couldn't help but feel flustered with Raeka staring at her in this outfit. Even if this was supposed to be a serious mission, some part of her couldn't help that genuine shyness. At the very least it helped her play the role well. Nami's outwardly carefree attitude did cause Mai to turn her head with a chiding expression. Hopefully that didn't just screw them over right from the beginning but, only time would tell. Raeka's suggestion of getting food at least snapped her back out of her flustered state. "Ah, yeah. That's fine. Some food would do some good after that trip."

She followed after Raeka, likely beside Nami as they ventured forth through the crowds of others. "The open fields mixed with patches of small forests and trees always looked boring at first glance, but I've grown to appreciate the silence amongst nature." City life was always noisy, and so much was going on actively in Galbadia, whether she was training in the military or just actively spending time with Raeka. More often than not she saw concrete, structures, and offices; so she found solice in the peace that Timber had. Though, they would be the ones causing the disturbance.

Nami was annoyed at the looks that she received from the other two. They were completely hidden, in a crowd of people actively talking, and they thought...? Oh whatever. Clicking her tongue, she skipped out into the crowd with the others. "Food is fine. Being one with the people and trying some cuisine is certainly a choice." Her eyebrow raised on one side as Mai continued to go on about the open fields. It was something that she found some similarity with, in regards to the silence and peaceful nature of the woods about them. "I feel that way about the ocean, at least when its silent and just the waves can be heard." The times she had been to UNITA, she had really fallen in love with the oceans and the sounds of it. During this last Concert she had made it a mission to go to the beach during what free times she had, anything better than listening to that President ramble on about peace or her daughter walking around pretending to be her miniature and playing that violin.

The ocean was more than pleasant enough to listen to.

Listening to the girls talk about the scenery he sort of slowly realized that he had never really taken it in. He had traveled from Winhill, to Balamb, to Galbadia, to Esthar and even to Eden City and back again. And all that time so little of the sights had stood out to him, he'd mostly stayed in the cities and never seemed to care for those moments of quiet. The sounds of the ocean always meant less to him than the sensation of bobbing on a small boat or watching waves of grass dance in the breeze.

It had been the movement that entranced him so. His face fell for a second, without his sorcery those sensations of late had been so dulled, and he had the feeling it was all on the way out the door. Maybe he would have adjust to the sight instead of the movement. Anyways, the train ride to downtown Timber was a short one, and once out the man took a quick moment to check his options and the map he had nabbed back at the station. "Oh, this place is supposed to like a Esthar-Trabian mix, grill or barbecue or something. This should have some fish, and some of those weird stuff Trabbys and Esthys eat."

And they did. Kinda. The kids each got a bowl that they could fill up however much they wanted, Raeka overstuffing the bowl seemingly trying to get it as high as it could go with any meat he could grab, before handing it over to the staff to cook. After that, he took a seat at a window booth as he waited, looking out at the city they had come to. Maybe it was what the girls had said, but he seemed a bit more present about the actual city of Timber.

It had changed since the past. It's old logging roots being only momentarily noticeable here or there with older buildings. So much had been brought up to speed, but city planning had kept a eye for the design. Trees tastefully lined up along the streets, boughs trimmed so they hung over the streets giving the place the splash of nature that made it seem more natural.

"Train lines criss-cross this city. I doubt that these guys have evaded us for so long without inside help. After this we should go to one of the main trainway thorough fairs, stand on one of the overhead bridges like tourists and let Mai scan for trains that don't meet regs." He was thinking too much. Business would stop this reflective bullshit.
