Oh what was she to do now that she was done working for the day?

Noa was currently walking around in her apartment, a spoonful of peanut butter in her mouth while texting her best friend. Of course he was asking for deets about what happened just a couple of days ago. She rolled her eyes and sent him a combination of the middle finger emoji with the zipper and some lips. After finishing that spoonful of peanut butter she went to go lay down in her room, about to turn on the TV when she had an idea. Considering her bestie kept bringing him up [partially because he wants to see pictures], she figured there would be no harm in texting Idri for a bit. But what would she say? They're not dating or anything, and while the sex was ******** the day of their first date, there really hasn't been any activity.

It was almost disappointing, until she remembered Idri was not a people person.

Sighing in boredom, she pulled up his contact and hit the message button.

Quote:

Hey Broody, you up? The sun went down~

She had to snicker at that one.

Idirian sat on the couch with Ainsley, watching some movie she wanted to see. She had hogged the popcorn bowl, as usual, and had almost eaten the whole thing. Not that he minded. He was more than happy to let his sister have whatever she wanted. For the most part. His phone buzzed in his pocket and he fished it out, a slight smile on his face when he saw who it was. He had thought about texting her since their date, but he wasn’t used to someone like her. Wasn’t used to dating, or whatever they wanted to call what they were after that night. He probably should ask what she wanted, but it was easier to let it be for now. Maybe she would make her desires clear soon.



Ah, so it turns out Idri is more like Blade…Understandable, she would adapt her words.

Oh my bad! I forgot, Dhamphir is it? What's it like going to Hot Topic during the day? Do tell Alucard I said hello. I mean the Castlevania one, not Hellsing 😏

Granted, thinking about Idirian as a hot a** vampire anything was something she would keep to herself. She couldn't tell the bestie because then he would really start thirsting more than he already was. Either way, this was going to be pretty entertaining. She flopped back down on her bed, grinning like a school girl while she turned on her tv to keep her busy while she waited for what would hopefully be another text.

He rolled his eyes at her next message.



s**t. He sent it before he thought about his tone. It was the first time he’d ever really texted someone like this. He didn’t have many friends in high school and they all fell away in his senior year when everything really started happening with his father, stepmother, and the legal system. So really, Idirian had only had Ainsley since he was eighteen. He wasn’t used to interacting with other people, let alone someone who actually seemed to be interested in him.



Noa may or may not have been excited, she wasn't going to admit it…Quickly swiping to read the message, a mischievous grin appeared on her face.

Could've fooled me. Apparently you DO watch something vampire related otherwise you wouldn't have known about the backwards spelling of Dracula.

She was not offended at all. Idri being socially deprived was a bit entertaining to her. BUT since he thought he was being an a*****e…Oh she was going to start some s**t.

😭Why would you be so mean!? I was only playing! And here I thought I would've gotten some Idri brownie points for calling you a certain name the entire night. Wooooooow such unappreciation! I am SO offended!

There, now he cant feel bad since she was trying to be a little gremlin anyway.

If she hadn’t sent that first message, he might have actually believed the second. Maybe. But probably not. Instead, he chuckled softly and smiled at his phone as he began texting her back.



He probably should not be thinking about that when he was on the couch with his little sister, but Ainsley wasn’t paying attention to him at all. She was absorbed in her movie.



Ainsley was absolutely paying attention to her brother. He almost never had his phone out during their movie nights. Now he was smiling at his phone?! Who was this and what had they done with her broody big brother?! Ohhh, maybe he was texting with Noa. He hadn’t talked about her since that day they had breakfast, but Ainsley was hoping they got together. She really liked Noa, and it looked like Idri did, too.

That beautiful comment actually got her to blush for a moment.

Shaking her head, Noa decided that she must be the best gremlin that she could be, snorting at Dracula Untold. Of course he would like that one. She was surprised he didn't like Interview with the Vampire or Queen of the Damned, both are her guilty pleasure movies. Ugh! She loved Hugh Jackman but not when he was playing in Hellsing, it was like watching Jason Momoa play in the Fast and Furious. Like it was entertainment but gods he seemed way too over the top for that movie.

Talk about trying to copy the chaos of the Joker, Momoa.

Granted she knew Queen of the Damned did not get very good reviews, it was still her favorite. It did make her wonder what other movies he liked and if he would dare move out of the horror vibe to watch something amazing, like anime [Oh lord Cyberpunk Edgerunners! They should watch that!] or even Rick and Morty.



He wondered what else she liked to watch besides horror and vampire stuff. Idirian didn’t watch a lot of television, if he were honest. Well, aside from what Ainsley wanted to watch. Which was currently some teen drama on Netflix. Though, he did have a few things he might want to share with her at some point. He wondered if she liked Marvel or DC better, or if she even liked superhero movies at all.

Ainsley stared at her brother. She wasn’t even pretending to watch her movie now, she could watch it again later. Right now, her brother was muuuuch more interesting. She popped another piece of popcorn in her mouth as she eyed him. This was fascinating. Idri was usually quiet and reserved, keeping to himself even when they were out in public but now he was smiling at his phone. She could not get over that! The brother she was used to almost never smiled, and when he did it was only ever to her. A small part of her felt jealous about that, but she tried to ignore it. She had had Idirian to herself for the last eight, almost nine years. He deserved more than just her in his life.

They're so bad! Dracula Untold is so….Edgy and Van Hellsing was just not it. Hugh Jackman could've done so much better

She wasn't even paying attention to her TV now, turning it off and just laying on the bed, staring at her phone.

I have not but I will try to check it out. Do you like anime? Have you seen the masterpiece that is Cyberpunk Edgerunners? Please tell me you’ve heard of it! I will literally have your baby as a reward.

That last bit had her cracking up. Of course she was sure Idri has not watched Cyberpunk, but really she would actually be surprised if he has.

Idirian snorted and rolled his eyes. Just because a movie was edgy or cheesy didn’t make it a bad movie. He liked both for what they were. Her next message had him biting back a curse.



Maybe they could watch it together. It was strange, to suddenly have someone he wanted to spend time with aside from his sister. Someone he wanted to take out on dates and give gifts to. ********, he had it bad. And yet the idea of letting someone see him when he’s vulnerable was kind of terrifying. He didn’t even like for Ainsley to see that side of him. He was supposed to be strong for her and keep her safe.

Ainsley stared at her brother. He snorted. At his phone. That was the closest he got to a laugh with other people. Seriously, was this an alien that got put in his place? Was she on Punk’d or something? He wasn’t even paying attention to the fact that Ainsley was staring at him. That was new, too. He always knew what was happening around him. It was what made it so hard to sneak up behind him.

Why are you mad? 🤣 It's based on the world of Cyberpunk 2077, which is NOW considered a great game. It had a terrible launch though. But it's about this kid that has a tolerance to cyber enhancements. He gets caught up in being an edgerunner and they do all sorts of jobs. He falls in love with one of the girls that works with him and they have epic battles! The animation is top notch too! Did you want to watch it together sometime?

Noa laughed, knowing the reason why Idri was mad but she decided to play the innocent part of not knowing. Maybe they could go out on another date if Idri was feeling sociable. She would hold off on that though, and wait to see how the night would go first.

Maybe they could get dinner again beforehand. While he was usually something like a hermit, he had liked being out at Chili’s with her.

“Idri. Who’s making you smile at your phone?” Ainsley asked, completely innocent. Her brother looked up at her, seemingly a little surprised that she had noticed.

“If I tell you, you’re going to get that smug look on your face.” Idirian sighed as Ainsley pulled the exact look he had been trying to avoid. “Yeah, that face.”

“Idri and Noa, sittin’ in a tree~ K-I-S-S-I-N-G!” Ainsley giggled as she sang, enjoying being able to tease her brother about his crush.

“Ainsley, I’m warning you. You do not want to finish that song,” he said. She really was going to regret it if she did. He smirked a bit, knowing his little sister couldn’t deny a challenge.

Ainsley narrowed her eyes, knowing that her brother was trying to bait her, but unable to avoid the dare in his eyes. “First comes looooove, then comes marriage~ Then comes a baby in a baby carriage!” She finished in a rush, throwing popcorn at him.

Idirian grinned evilly at her. “We did things backward,” he told her. At her quizzical look, he said, “We tried for the baby first.”

The blonde teen screeched, an unholy sound as she tossed the entire bowl of popcorn at him. “YOU SUCK, IDIRIAN! I’m totally gonna get you back for that!!”

Noa blew a stray curl out of her face. Must she ask him out AGAIN?! After rolling her eyes she worked on a reply:

Just like everything else but she wasn't about to stroke his ego like that.

She figured one of them would have to say it and as nice as he is, Idri’s social skills sucked a** and needed improvement.

Idirian was laughing as he looked at his phone for Noa’s new message, biting his lip when she called him -censored-.

Stop calling me that, I’m sitting in the living room with my sister and I don’t need a tent. Unless you want to come over tonight?

He chuckled softly at her second message. Okay, note taken. He would man up and actually ask her out next time.

Ainsley made a disgusted noise at her brother, still traumatized. “So gross,” she mumbled and huffed. She eyed him when he laughed at his phone again. She had no idea that trying to get her brother a girlfriend would result in her being traumatized. But she couldn’t help but feel happy that he was actually smiling and laughing again. She had missed that part of him from when she was younger and he didn’t have so much weight on his shoulders.

She actually laughed, shaking her head. Really though, she did it for the reactions. Knowing Idri has a thing for that made her want to constantly push his buttons. Was she up for a romp in the sheets? Was her lower half up for it? Noa was already getting up, searching for an outfit to wear. OR she could invite him to her apartment? That actually seemed better and poor Ainsley wouldn't have to be traumatized.

She wanted to see how he was going to react, and depending on his answer, he would be coming to her house.

He shook his head, still chuckling at his sister a bit. She deserved every second of her so-called trauma. She had started this with him and Noa. And he would probably owe her big for it.

Depends. Are you up for it? Or are you still sore?

The last thing he wanted to do was hurt her for real. A little pain with consent could be fun, but doing actual physical harm to his partner was not really something he was into.

Ainsley pouted cutely. Idri seemed to really be into Noa. He was soooo going to owe her for getting them together. “Ugh, I’m going to my room to watch my movie. You have fun texting your girlfriend~” she said, singing the last word teasingly before hopping up and heading upstairs.

Honestly she did like calling him the D-word, but she supposed Sir would work. As for her body, she was perfectly fine. Her recovery time was pretty amazing in that aspect.
